Such a great program for learning guitar. Especially being self taught for years and just memorizing tabs this has helped me really unlock the guitar and understand it. The lessons are clear with great visuals to accompany the lesson and you can go at whatever pace you like. You can send in videos to be “graded” by teachers and they have guest lessons all the time of new material. I will be a member for life.

The ease of learning.

It's like a lightbulb finally went on! For years, I was strumming away on my guitar, making music but without a true understanding of how everything connected. The CAGED system has been a game-changer. It's provided me with a clear roadmap of the fretboard, especially when it comes to understanding how chord shapes relate to each other and how to easily locate them in different positions. It's like I finally understand my guitar. This system has moved me from just playing to actually knowing what I'm doing. Highly recommend for anyone feeling lost on the fretboard!

Really good to help structue your learning so that you're not just playing random songs you like without context. I still sometimes start to learn some of my faves in-between, but pickup makes it super easy to jump back into learning fundamentals so that when i play the songs i like, i can notice that i'm better at things like switching chords, picing patterns etc.

The CAGED system pathway is very informative. It follows a very detailed approach to learning how it all works. I started the course with prior knowledge and Molly Miller helped with a few crucial aha moments.

I’ve learned so much over the past few months from where I was stuck for so many years. I went from not knowing what to focus on to having an arsenal of tools and knowing what direction I want to take my playing. Great instructors and lessons!

just finished the CAGEDI pathway. It took me longer than 6 weeks as some days are more challenging (and key) than others.I felt like it was worth investing more time on it. I spend a couple weeks only on some lessons at times where I felt more work was needed on my end. Overall I feel I have learned more in these weeks than in years of practice. Only critique are:

i) I feel it would be useful to give some "homework" for some of the key lessons. For example advising the students to play over tracks "x,y,z" to practice improvisation on chord changes. The advice though is still given if you ask a questio.

ii) Worth giving more lessons on some key topic such as improvisation on chord changes "outside" the scale

Brilliant! Long story short i started with fender play and i am now using pickup music. Karl the tutor is very easy to follow and informative. I feel i have improved hugely while using this website.

I entered the program thanks to one of those adds that begin with "let me know if this sounds like you..." and proceeds to talk about the intermediate plateau. I felt immediately identified and decided to give it a shot. Just 2 weeks and, if I liked it, I could do a whole month.
In those 2 weeks I did maybe 7-8 exercises (which isn't much per-se), and one day I simply grabbed my guitar to play one song that I hadn't practiced in a long while (Weight of Dreams - Greta Van Fleet). I was expecting to be rusty, but I felt how my hand was positioning itself where it needed to be. Better yet, even when I didn't remember what went next, my hand started playing it on its own because it knew where to find the sounds.
After this I 100% decided to get an extra month and I'm regretting not having gone for a full year on the spot!

Pickup has been a great experience. Lots of lesson pathways, exercises, and resources. You can submit recordings for feedback, which is always extremely helpful and informative. My playing and understanding of the guitar has skyrocketed over the past few months.

I am finally learning how to play this instrument! This is the best guitar course ever created.

This is a great pathway to learn where you are in the fretboard. It combines CAGED shapes, mayor pentatonic, major scale and arpeggios

Pickup Music is fantastic. It got me out of just playing simple chords and helped me explore the fretboard more fully. Whether it’s riffs, theory, or jam sessions, Pickup Music has it all. I’m genuinely grateful for this platform.

I have to tell you that at first I wasn't able to play bar chords, but after lessons and exercises in this way of learning, I noticed great progress, and I can't wait to see what awaits me in the next levels of learning

I am totally new to guitar, but In less than 2 months I have learned a lot and important thing is I can remember what I have learned. the chords, name of each strings, how to hold the strings, strums, play along with instructor, with the band. Even I can record a video and send to them to have an assessment.
Because Pickup music has a very organized system, structure that can guide me step by step through all lessons. I can go back to review the video again if some lesson need more attention. Needless to say Pickup Music is the best guitar learning platform. I highly recommend Pickup Music

As a professional guitar quitter, I must say that Pickup Music might be my ticket to finally learn the instrument and enjoy the process of doing so!
