I bought a Blogger template and I got a bit disappointed because it's expensive for nothing... Indeed, the template is amazing but the website doesn't give enough information. For instance, it doesn't say that the "shop my wardrobe" widget depends on another application. Getting this widget is hard because you need to have a lot of followers on social medias to be accepted by the "another application".It's expensive for nothing, you can find better templates at cheaper prices on other websites. Moreover, I wrote a review on their website about the template I bought and it's still not visible on the website. I think the website only accepts the excellent reviews to urge the client to buy templates. Not really great and honest!

Their WP themes are beautiful and functional, but they have non-existent customer service. I didn't even get a proper order receipt with my details and amount paid, only acknowledgement they got my order and download link. I contacted them to get a receipt to claim my expenses and on their automated response they state it takes 48 hours to respond. What sort of company does that??? Even after waiting nobody got back to me. Completely lost trust in this company. The previous theme I had from them was supposed to have an update which I was unable to download anywhere, the link simply doesn't work. After all this I searched info about the company only to find out about the scandal from last year. It pays to do your research before you buy, lessons learned.

I was scammed and am absolutely furious.

This guy is a criminal! Just google @pipdig and look at the results. Wordfence has a complete write up with PROOF of his criminal actions.

Wished I read reviews before buying.... avoid this company.

Then found nasties on my blog which was screwing it up. So glad they are now under investigation!

Dishonest company. Avoid at all costs! They used dodgy code hidden in their themes to attack competitors and slow down your site.

Should be more transparent in responding to allegations about misconduct. Radio silence does nothing to inspire confidence in those who have bought products or are wishing to invest in their products.

As a blogger with (previously) little knowledge of the techie behind-the-scenes aspects of Wordpress, I feel violated that this company relied on our lack of experience for their own benefit. The gaslighting and continuous claims of innocence by Phil is unacceptable and has damaged the company’s reputation beyond repair. I would sincerely urge anyone to find another theme provider.

As a part of the blogging community I followed the allegations made against pipdig with interest. I dislike the way that they appeared to ignore the allegations made by a credible (by all accounts) source, shut down any semblance of a balanced discussion and produce a response which many deemed not good enough, and actually pretty arrogant. I believe that they played on the technical ignorance of their clients, thus exploiting them for financial gain. If members of the blogging community associated with the company are happy not to follow disclosure rules for gifted and sponsored items for financial gain I have no doubt that they are also capable of similarly shady tactics in business.

I've heard a lot about this company lately and read even more online. Most of what I've come across has been negative,apart from some reviews by a Peter Peng.Ive looked for this person who claims to be an internet accounts manager but who strangely has no online presence,which is odd to say the least. Now I'm not suggesting for a moment that these reviews might be faked by person or persons unknown but at least when Samsung invented Rick Stivens they gave him a believable back story.Just saying.

The internet has a vicious way of piling on attacks with little time for the defendant to speak or be heard. When was the last time you've seen the media prematurely judge a person or company? That might be going on here.

As a tech manager, I know that it's impossible for one small business owner to QAQC a whole project. Sometimes things get neglected in big teams or if you out-source code, crap like this happens A LOT.

Just b/c there was some bad code is not evidence it was used in a malicious way. Besides, back in the early days, I happily shared my admin access with PipDig as they fixed issues for free and quickly.

As for the "ddos" code ... I really don't think it's necessary to target 1 competitor with clumsy code RIGHT IN THE OPEN for everyone to see. And why not attack more competitors while you're at it? It just doesn't add up.

As for disabling garbage plugins without my permission, I'd let that one go. Non of the plugins in that list I would use.

I'm absolutely disgusted with how dishonest Pipdig is. They continue to lie about the claims against them and tried to cover the proof but I'm thankful to people who have ethics and morals who captured that proof and shared it with the world. I have purchased 2 Pipdig themes and multiple plugins and now out of money. Godaddy has put them on a blacklist (why would they do this unless they knew that they were committing fraudulent acts). So many users can't even use the theme now and are being denied refunds through Paypal. I'm sure there will be a class action lawsuit against them soon or I will sue myself. Stay clear because after all this settles, who knows what malicious code they will use next.

One of the main reasons I chose a pipdig theme aside from liking the look is the great reviews I saw on Trust Pilot. When I first purchased a theme, I found their customer service to be wonderful and in fact ended up also switching over to Pipdig Hosting and paid to have 9 domains transferred to them.

A few weeks later, news broke about the company putting malicious code into their themes, resulting in their ability to shut down a user's site and launch attacks on their competitors, among other things considered by many Wordpress experts to be just plain wrong. Several outlets have reported it, namely Wordfence, a respected web security company. Search Pipdig scandal and you will see the details or look on Twitter. Pipdig refused a refund, even though I'd just bought the theme, then, after I had purchased domain transfers with their hosting, I found out they never actually transferred 3 of the domains.

When the scandal broke, they announced they were ending hosting (mere weeks after I moved everything over). The good news is pipdig was actually a reseller for Kualo, so my transfer over to them was seamless and they graciously are offering all pipdig customers free hosting-one support person told me off the record, this was a necessary legal step since pipdig was also hosted on their servers. Kualo was able to get pipdig to refund the domain money for the ones that were never transferred.

This was a terrible experience,a huge waste of my time and I'm out the $59 I paid for their theme. Several bloggers are out money (search #pipdig on Twitter)

Pipdig maintains their themes are safe and denies any wrongdoing - however they removed the malicious code, and covered their tracks, so why would anyone trust them now, unless they are unaware of the scandal? It's incredibly unfortunate, and I typically wouldn't be so harsh on a company, but they've cost me a lot of time I won't get back, and many buying themes may not be aware of this issue. Several other customers have reported the same experience when seeking a refund. Please look elsewhere for a theme.

UPDATE: Pipdig’s response below is more falsehoods. I’ve contacted them about a refund - still no refund! There was never an issue with the domains other than they were not transferred-in fact, pipdig showed them as "transfer complete" on their hosting site.

As for the malicious code? If they had an explanation that made sense, they would have released it by now. Smart people who know code put all the evidence out there. Not trustworthy.

I can't recommend Phil at pipdig highly enough. I transferred my website last week and he made it seem such a simple operation. He was so efficient, pleasant and patient. Definitely 5 stars!

I'm so excited to have selected Pipdig as my blog provider. Working with Holly has been a breeze. She's responsive, friendly and very helpful. Can't wait to grow my little network in this corner of the internet alongside Pipdig!

My experience with Pipdig's customer service is in my top 3 all time best experiences ever. The quality of the product alone is enough to rave about; Phil's customer service as well as the detail, thoughtfulness and user-friendliness of all the tutorials and instructions absolutely blew me away.

Despite the human-friendly installation and set up guides, I still managed to muck up installing my site. Phil immediately came to the rescue and navigated issues I created on other platforms (e.g., messing up my domain, not following the instructions and then breaking things in an attempt to figure out what I'd done wrong) in order to get my site set up in less than 48 hours. If you're worried at all about purchasing any of the templates and setting up your site--do not hesitate. Phil will take the best care of you!

I am so happy I decided to use pipdig for my blog. I used to have it on Blogger and I was thinking about moving it to Wordpress. The migration process was smooth and super quick and I also got one of their templates. It looks very professional and it is really easy to work with. Big shout out to Phil who was very helpful!
