This is the second time I have used them and both times I could not fault the service for a reasonable cost. Following a shower leak, Curtis identified the seal as the probable cause and resealed everything which resolved the leak. This time Curtis replaced the parts causing the toilet to keep flushing - within an hour. Many thanks to him for both jobs done quickly and well with no mess. Rare to find good and trusted skilled people so continue the good work!

A neighbour spoke to me about the source of a water ingress in their property. I contacted Plumbing Doctors and they arrived within 20 minutes.
Curtis assessed and established there was no water leak in my property; he then advocated effectively on my behalf with the neighbours tradesperson and Curtis quickly identified the root of the problem for my neighbour.
Curtis offered me reassurance throughout which was needed and appreciated.

Curtis from H & D was very professional, obviously knew what he was doing and got on with the job there and then at a reasonable price. Also send you after service WhatsApp to check everything is OK. Trusted the positive reviews and decided to contact this company for work at our NHS dental practice. Communication was initially quick and we managed to book the job without any issues. However, on the day, they arrived extremely late — scheduled for the morning but turned up at 4:30pm — and then refused to carry out the job.

This was particularly frustrating because the work needed to be coordinated with engineers and electricians, and the exact timing had been clearly explained to the plumbers beforehand. Due to their refusal, we had to arrange another plumber last minute and ultimately close the surgery for an extra day, resulting in cancelled patients and significant disruption.

Despite being highly recommended to us, we definitely won’t be using them again. To top it off, the plumber politely told us not to call them again while sipping a cup of coffee we had made — which would be funny if the situation hadn’t been so stressful.

Thank you for your response. However, I would like to clarify a few key points that have not been accurately reflected.

When we originally booked the job, we specifically requested and agreed on a 9:00 am appointment. This was made clear at the time of booking, and the only reason we proceeded with your company was because we needed to coordinate three different professionals on the same day: two engineers from DD and one electrician. All of them needed to be present together so the work could be carried out simultaneously, avoiding unnecessary delays and preventing disruption to NHS clinical time.

A few days before the booking, we were informed by email that the arrival time had been changed to 11:15 am onwards. This was never agreed upon, and had we known earlier that 9 am was not possible, we would not have booked the appointment. You cannot expect other engineers — who charge hourly — to be on-site from 9 am until potentially 4 pm simply waiting for the plumber to arrive.

Regarding the claim that no one was available to explain the work: this is incorrect. As soon as your plumber arrived, we called the DD engineer, who then explained directly to your plumber what needed to be done. To say no explanation was provided is simply inaccurate.

The disruption caused was significant precisely because the agreed appointment time was changed at short notice, which undermined the coordination of multiple professionals and affected our ability to manage NHS patient care effectively.

I hope this clarifies the situation from our side.

A great company to deal with, great communication, kept me informed with emails and texts when the plumber Curtis would arrive. Curtis was knowledgeable and did a neat job even though it was in a complex position. I would definitely recommend the Plumbing Doctors

Had Waseem and Curtis replace a bath tub for me as my old one had cracked, sent Waseem the photos on WhatsApp and he was able to provide me with a quote. I was happy with the quote and proceeded to book him in the following week. I provided the bath and he advised me during the day of what parts I needed which was very helpful. They arrived promptly around 9am and worked throughout the day to complete job, kept me well informed during the day and tidied up when they left. Nice and relaxed to talked to and kept me feeling comfortable about what they were doing, they only had to knock out two tiles which was even better for me as I anticipated more to come off. Bath was fitted nicely with a good wooden structure to support along with the legs. Would recommend these guys to anyone.
