I appreciate Preptical for asking my feedback. My experience overall with Preptical was very positive.
They are professional and very responsive.
I had an issue during one of my tests, and the support was very fast at solving my issue.
The platform itself also looks modern and reliable.
The most important aspect was the fact that my exam was reviewed by a real human and not a bot. This is quite rare nowadays.

I took 5 mock tests at Preptical and eventually got the score I needed at the real exam.
I feel like each test got me a bit closer to my target score.
The feedback was very helpful. Specially for the writing and speaking tests.

I am updating this review after receiving a response from Preptical, because I want my criticism to remain focused, accurate, and entirely based on my personal experience with the platform.

My primary issue with Preptical was the customer support experience. Before my IELTS exam, I spent hours waiting on chat support and sent follow-ups without receiving meaningful responses or updates regarding delays. The platform advertises rapid support responses, so the lack of communication was extremely frustrating during an already stressful exam period.

What made this more disappointing was that after I posted my public review, I received an email response almost immediately. From a customer perspective, this made the earlier lack of communication difficult to understand. A simple acknowledgement of the delays and a sincere apology would honestly have resolved much of my frustration.

I was also disappointed by the evaluator feedback provided with the mock tests. In my experience, the feedback was limited and not detailed enough to meaningfully guide improvement, particularly considering the price charged for the service.

Another important concern for me was the realism of the mock evaluation itself. There was a total 3 point difference in overall band provided by preptical and my real exam: both taken within 12 hours of each other). Naturally, such a significant discrepancy raised concerns for me about how representative the mock evaluations actually were. By comparison, my performance on official IELTS preparation materials from IDP and the British Council aligned much more closely with my final score, which is why I personally found those resources more reliable.

In addition, turnaround times exceeded the advertised 48-hour timeframe in my experience. For candidates preparing under strict deadlines, repeated delays can understandably create pressure to pay extra for faster evaluation options.

To be fair, I accept that many users may have had positive experiences with the platform. However, reviews are meant to reflect individual experiences, and this review reflects mine honestly. While the platform itself is visually well organized, the combination of delayed communication, limited feedback, and concerns about score realism ultimately made it a disappointing experience for me personally.

I have been using Preptical since 2021 whenever I prepare for IELTS. This is so far the most comprehensive mock test I have encountered, including the evaluation of the mock test result. I always recommend it to my friends who are looking for IELTS mock test service.

I was feeling nervous at the beginning because when I took this mocking test, I wasn't in quiet place. In addition, I didn't do maximum.

Good platform for exam preparation, gives fast and detailed feedback

It is definitely an amazing and affordable software. The feedback is really quick and precise, and you can notice how involved they are with your learning process when they compare your performance over the different tests you have done. I don't give them 5 stars just because I have found the same mistake in different tests. Those mistakes refer to the tasks that request to fill with "one word or number", but then the correct answer was made by 2 words (Not a compound word). Overall, I think they are great, and I'd recommend them without hesitation.

Affordable prices and informative reviews for mock tests (I was really impressed by their size). Best of all, it only takes 48 hours to get full exam results. I'm very excited to continue studying for IELTS with this platform!

I got the review within the 48 hours and it was extremely valuable. I've studied in English in uni for 6 years now but was not sure what to expect from IELTS, as I've had colleagues from my course who told me it is very hard. Although I'm comfortable in my English skills, the mock test was a necessity - I fell short of my target band score in just one section (writing) and will be following their advice before retrying the mock test. Hoping to get a 7.5 in all sections before going for the real thing!

This mock test is very helpful. I took the last IELTS test around 3 years ago, and this mock test really helping me remember everything. Also this is really great for practice or warm up before the real test.
