We recently had a water softener installed in our home, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service provided. From the initial consultation to the final installation, the entire process was seamless and professional.

Jake and team arrived promptly, were courteous, and took the time to explain the installation process in detail. Their expertise was evident, and they ensured that everything was set up perfectly. What stood out the most was their commitment to cleanliness; they left the workspace spotless, which we greatly appreciated.

Super helpful, friendly and pragmatic

Jake responded promptly to my job request on checkatrade, arranged to come over and arrived as arranged, having confirmed just before coming. He was courteous and friendly, explained the job and cost before proceeding. He removed and replaced an electric shower unit the same day, tidied up after himself and did a perfect, neat job, taking time to demonstrate the controls before leaving. Would definitely recommend.

I obtained Jake’s details through Checkatrade and asked him to quote for replacing my vented hot water tank with an unvented one to overcome the problem of low water pressure. He visited to get the full details, provided me with a written quotation and carried out the work over a two day period. He completed the work in a very professional manner and I cannot fault anything. His team were always polite, careful and thorough in everything they did. They left everything in a very neat and tidy state and I would have no hesitation in both using him again and recommending his company to my friends.

Once again my go to plumber Jake from Pritchards Heating and Plumbing Limited came and replaced my 12yr old boiler .
He was very tidy and the boiler looks great and hopefully have cheaper bills but just happy to have a reliable boiler that will last many years.
He fitted me in at short notice which helped because it was freezing.
Love having a warm home again.

Jake was recommended to me by another trader as I needed a boiler replaced. He flushed the system and installed the new boiler. He has since carried out the annual servicing in a very efficient manner. I also recommended him to a friend along the road and she was very satisfied and has since moved and employed him in her new flat. I am a retired engineer with a knowledge of heating systems and will recommend him to anyone.

This is the 2nd time we used Jake. This job was to replace an existing electric shower. He sourced the replacement and, as usual, gave me an up front quote, arrived on time, did the work professionally and left the area clean and tidy. Once again Jake has my full confidence; is good at what he does and is reliable. I recommend him.

Let down on 2 occasions.
I'd booked Jake for a job to cap off a pipe and do a boiler service, which he confirmed a couple of weeks beforehand. On the day, he didn't turn up at 4pm, didn't respond to messages or calls and rang me in the evening at 8:30pm to say his phone had been in the apple store since the previous day and apologised, saying 'these things happen'. I thought, having your own business, you would have your customer's contacts on file somewhere and you'd have another phone or a laptop to email or at least find a way to borrow someone else's, to let your customers know you can't make it. The lack of communication was very poor. Anyway, he confirmed he would make another day - we agreed on a Friday but then I asked him if he could do Wednesday instead as we had an electrician due to come in after Jake was supposed to do his job. Jake said he could do Wednesday between 5pm and 7pm. At 7:30pm, Jake rang to say he could still make it but it would be 10pm. I said alright, but then he said he didn't advise doing the job at that time, basically he couldn't make it. This caused stress and I explained the electrician needed to do his job and Jake could potentially be ruining the whole plan of arrangements, especially if he let me down a 3rd time. Jake said he'd already apologised for letting me down on Monday and again said 'these things happen'. I just couldn't trust his word when he said he'd come on Friday and he sounded very laid back about it all so I luckily found another plumber instead who arrived on time, for the same quote. Jake had serviced my boiler the previous year and seemed alright but I just couldn't recommend him after this experience. He caused stress, the communication was poor and was very unreliable.

Excellent service, fixed the issue with the heating and hot water.

Jake, along with his coworker, effectively coordinated the removal of my previous water tanks and the installation of a new unvented hot water cylinder. I was very impressed with the quality of their work and the rapidity of their responses in every aspect of our dealings.

Jake provides a timely and professional service. My father is 92 and the central heating wasn't working - Jake came round the next day and fixed it. Very grateful, many thanks, Sue clements.

We have used Jake in the past for some plumbing jobs and boiler maintenance and he has always been professional, fair and reliable. This time, we asked him to completely renovate our bathroom. He project managed the whole renovation. His work is excellent and at the end of each day, he would thoroughly clean up and ensure everything was neat and tidy. He is honest, reliable and very professional and the finished bathroom is fantastic. We were also very pleased with his colleague Kevin and the subcontractors (tiler, painter etc) that he used.
The quality of the workmanship is excellent as is his eye for detail. He communicated well throughout the process to make sure we were happy. He is extremely reliable and always comes when promised. We would definitely use Jake again for any plumbing or heating project whether large or small and we are very happy to recommend him.
