I signed up because they advertise “dedicated IP.” In the VPN industry, that normally means a static IP assigned to you permanently.

What they actually provide is a dynamic IP that changes every time you reconnect. It’s not permanently assigned to your account. That makes it useless for allowlisting, remote access, hosting, or any scenario requiring IP consistency.

They claim they “never advertised static,” but they also admit static dedicated IPs are the industry standard and theirs is a rare niche setup. If you’re offering something different from what most customers reasonably expect, that needs to be clearly stated upfront — not clarified after purchase.

This feels intentionally misleading. If you need a true static dedicated IP, look elsewhere.

I miss entered MY EMAIL when I purchased my Privatevpn subscription so I didn't get a confirmation Email and couldn't login to the app on my Firestick. Tom was really nice and patient and he somehow figured out my mistake and on his end changed my email to the correct email so I could use the Privatvpn I had just purchased. Tom was the best and really knows what he is doing!

For several days I have had a problem with accessing some Russian sites via VPN. I tried to open certain Russian sites through different servers but it was impossible and I decided to contact Privatevpn support.

Ho sottoscritto in data 2/2/2026 un abbonamento annuale ma a tutt'oggi (7/2/2026) non sono ancora riuscito a collegarmi con l’app. per vedere i programmi che mi interessano. Il loro server di Italia-Milano era in panne e un loro operatore (Tom) mi ha detto che hanno anche problemi con RaiPlay (che non e' stato sistemato).
Dopo essere stato i chat con loro per tantissimo tempo, oggi ho atteso per quasi un'ora che qualcuno "umano" si collegasse con me.
Un loro operatore e’ addirittura entrato da remoto nel mio pc, senza riuscire a risolvere il problema.
Ho chiesto un'ulteriore cortese vostra verifica, al fine di escludere problemi tecnici sul mio pc ma non e' stata fatta.
Insomma ne ho avuto abbastanza di loro: chiesto il rimborso del costo dell'abbonamento, utilizzando il diritto di recesso.

Durante un mio viaggio in Cina questa VPN si è mostrata del tutto inefficace. Incapace fin da subito di aggirare il Great Firewall cinese. Prima contatto una gentile assistente che cerca di aiutarmi, ma ne scaricando al di fuori di Google play la app, ne azzerando i filtri del mio telefono riesco a scaricare la app (che avevo già scaricato in Italia). Il supporto tecnico si è dimostrato pessimo, molto meglio VPN meno famose e meno costose. Quando sono arrivato in Cina la APP non funzionava. Comunico con loro con la gentile Anna, che mi consiglia alcune soluzioni, tra cui scaricare la APP fuori da Google Play, tramite il loro file apk e disabilitare alcune protezioni di Android, ma la APP non funzionava comunque.

1. Restart your Android device first. Open the PrivateVPN app, then tap the menu button at the top and proceed to VPN Settings > VPN Protocol: TCP+443 > VPN Encryption: AES-128-GCM or AES-128-CBC.

2. Make sure StealthVPN is disabled.

Reconnect to VPN > Try Hong Kong or any server near China.

Lascio perdere ed utilizzo una VPN che mi è costata tre volte meno e per l'utilizzo devo solo sciegliere tra ON e OFF.
