No support reply at all. Not recommended

Having one of their older quite expensive RIAA tube Amps, I contacted them to hear about the expected lifetime of the tubes since mine has quite some hours behind them. I got a confirmation email saying they would get in touch as soon as possible. That was January the 13th, and I haven't heard from them since. For products that expensive, one should think they offer better support. But no

When customer support disappears

This time, the problem was not just the product, but the complete lack of proper after-sales support.

After installing the turntable correctly, it caused my amplifier to overheat and permanently shut down. While this may sound unlikely, it is exactly what happened. What made the situation unacceptable was Pro-Ject’s response: an initial dismissive reply stating that such an issue was “impossible”, followed by complete silence—even after providing photos and sending a follow-up email.

Pro-Ject has built a strong reputation for quality, and this is not my first purchase from them. That is precisely why this experience was so disappointing.

The company could significantly improve by taking customer reports seriously, especially when a potential safety or equipment-damaging issue is involved, and by providing timely, professional follow-up instead of ignoring the customer once a problem is raised.

There were screws in the box

The product a very good but in the box there were screws, but not the right ones for the speakers and no assembly instructions in the package :/

It's a great turntable

It's a great turntable. Sounds good and it came packed perfectly. I had a little trouble setting it up, but response from the team was sudden and I've mastered it quickly. Recommend!

I placed an order with Pro-Ject on…

I placed an order with Pro-Ject on December 30, 2025, and despite a considerable amount of time passing, the product has still not been shipped. What is more disappointing is that there has been no communication regarding this delay.

No update, no explanation, and no estimated shipping time were shared. Keeping customers waiting without any notification is not acceptable and does not reflect a professional service approach. Even if delays occur, customers should at least be informed clearly.

Unfortunately, my experience so far has been negative.

I was not able to finish my order in…

I was not able to finish my order in Pro-Ject web shop so I actually was not able to buy the product I wanted. So that is a problem in m mind.

Excellent customer service support

I bought a system on line directly from Project Systems and had it delivered to Spain. During set up I found it impossible to balance the tome arm even though I was following the detailed instructions correctly and I have balanced tone arms for other systems without problem.
At first, likely due to the holiday period, there was a frustrating delay from customer service at Project, but when they did make contact, I must say that they went out of their way to help me solve the problem and were ready to send a new deck if needed. The interaction with customer service staff was professional, helpful, polite and efficient. I’m looking forward to experiencing the true quality of the system soon.

Pro-Ject VC-S3 Record Cleaner

Conclusions: The Pro-Ject VC-S3 is an excellent product for cleaning dust and dirt from Vinyl LP’s. In my opinion, it is a “must have” for all serious Hi-Fi enthusiasts with a large collection of records. It will not recover LP’s that have serious surface damage such as scratches, nor was it designed to do so. It came well packaged and is relatively easy to use. My only criticism are the Operating Instructions. They are badly written and hence not easy to follow. With this criticism in mind, I have written a set of Operating Instructions which I think will make it a lot easier for new users to tackle cleaning their record collection from day one.
Pro-Ject VC-S3 – User Instructions
Useful Accessories for use during the Cleaning Process but not included
• ZEROSTAT 3 MILTY Anti-Static Gun
• DECCA Carbon Fibre Record Cleaning Brush
• PEC PAD Non Abrasive Wipes, Lint-Free & Ultra Soft
• NAGAOKA Anti-Static Record Sleeves
• Table or Flat Surface ~ 50cms X 40cms
• An LED or similar light to provide oblique illumination of the record surface. Natural light from a window will work just as well

User Instructions:
• Place the box containing your Pro-Ject VC-S3 on a flat level surface with the top of the box uppermost
• Using a Stanley Knife or a sharp pen knife, carefully split the seals on the top of the box
• Remove the polystyrene insert from the top of the box and carefully unpack all the Accessories
• Remove the Pro-Ject VC-S3 and place it on the flat level surface leaving sufficient room at the back and sides to be able to use the switches
• Plug in the Mains Lead at the back of the cleaner without turning on the Power at this stage
• Insert the Cleaning Arm so that it is at Right Angles to the back of the machine
• Treat both sides of the LP with the Zerostat Pistol
• Place Side 1 of the record to be cleaned on the spindle and secure it with the Magnetic Clamp provided
• Turn on the Mains Power of the Cleaner using the ON/OFF Switch at the back
• The top Rocker Switch on the right hand side of the Cleaner is labeled MOTOR. The switch has three positions. The middle position is OFF. Pressing the switch to the Down Position will rotate the platter Clockwise, the Up Position Anticlockwise
• Press the Switch to the Down Position to rotate the LP Clockwise
• Using the DECCA Carbon Fibre Brush, gentle clean the surface to remove gross dust, hair etc.
• Holding the Pro-Ject Wash 2 bottle at ~ 45 degrees to the record surface, spray the complete record surface, moving the spray from side to side so that the whole surface is coated
• With the disc still spinning in a Clockwise direction, use the Cleaning Brush to work the fluid into the record grooves. Take time to make sure the fluid covers the whole LP surface and has been well worked in.
Using the top three way rocker switch labeled MOTOR, switch to the top position to reverse the rotation of the LP so that it is now rotating in Anti-clockwise direction
• With the LP still rotating, now once again use the Cleaning Brush to work the Cleaning Fluid into the record grooves
• Press the VACUUM Switch to the down position and gently turn the Cleaning Arm through 90 degrees and slowly release it so that it makes contact with the record surface
• Continue the drying process until you can no longer see any signs of the fluid in the oblique light
• Turn the Vacuum Switch to the OFF position, lifting the Vacuum Arm at the same time
• Turn the MOTOR Switch to the down position
• Switch on the Vacuum once again using the bottom Vacuum switch and lowering the arm onto the LP
• When you can no longer see any signs of fluid on the surface of the LP, switch the Vacuum Switch to the OFF position, lift the Vacuum Arm and place it back in its rest
• Set the top three way MOTOR Switch to the middle setting i.e. OFF. Remove the Magnetic Clamp and take the LP off
• Turn the LP over so that Side 2 is uppermost
• Using the DECCA Carbon Fibre Brush, gentle clean the surface of Side 2 of the LP to remove gross dust, hair etc.
• Apply the Wash 2 Fluid to Side 2 of the LP
• Work the fluid into the surface of Side 2 in the same way as you did for Side 1
• Repeat the vacuuming process for Side 2 of the LP in the same way as you did for Side 1
• Set the top three way MOTOR Switch to the middle setting i.e. OFF. Remove the Magnetic Clamp and take the LP off the spindle
• Hold the LP up to the light and if there is any fluid still on the Run Out Groves of the LP, then remove this with a clean PEC PAD by gently blotting or wiping the surface, Avoid if possible wiping the record grooves
• Place the clean and dry LP in a fresh Anti-Static Sleeve and then put the LP back in its cover
• At the end of a cleaning session, remove the Vacuum Arm and run the Vacuum for 10-15 seconds to dry the interior chamber
• Turn off the Mains Power at the back of the Cleaner and unplug the Mains Plug

Should Have bought a Rega. Left channel goes intermittently on my…

Left channel goes intermittently on my Debut Carbon player.I changed the needle amp and phono stage . I only play the deck on the week ends and the fault just manifested itself just out of warranty. Contacted Pro -Ject just gave me the address of a repair shop. Considering the non-excessive use I think i fault should not happen. Furthermore, having looked up the net I found that this is a common fault with the Debut Carbon deck, I brought the deck back three times to the shop where I got it without any satisfaction. I foolishly bought a new sub-platter, throwing good money after bad. I hate this deck at this stage At this juncture I have contacted a repair service. Should have bought a Rega, which I plan to do when I get this fixed to trade in.

GLS for shipping is terrible

The company itself does very well but they use GLS to ship their stuff to The Netherlands and GLS is absolutely horrible. I ordered a streamer on December 1st, it was shipped on Dec. 2nd from Austria and arrived at GLS Utrecht on December 4th at 10.50 hrs, according to the website of GLS. It has been at that depot since then. It is now December 8th and the streamer will probably be delivered (again, according to the website of GLS) on Tuesday 9th. This is completely outrageous. Where I live is 30 kilometers from Utrecht. If Pro-Ject want to keep it's good name in the market they should get rid of GLS as soon as possible, at least for shipping to The Netherlands.
