Propermusic.com is part of the Proper Music Group Ltd and was launched as an online store in October 2011 to supply music CD's, Vinyl, Bx Sets etc... direct to customers at competitive prices with an exceptional level of customer service. We've been supporting independent record labels and music since 1988. Our main aim is to provide an online shop window for the kinds of specialist music from artists and labels that you would not otherwise have the opportunity to find or discover in stock elsewhere. Our sister company, Proper Music Distribution is the largest independent distributor in the UK and we are able to supply music from over 2000+ labels from all over the world, regularly releasing over 150 new releases or re-issues every week. We employ dedicated and experienced staff who provide a polite and professional level of customer service through our extensive product knowledge from working within the music industry for many years. All our orders are despatched using a first class or airmail service with Royal Mail (Tracked as standard for all UK orders, optional for ROW) or via our network of courier services. Your opinion matters greatly to us and our reputation relies on it, so any feedback good or bad would be greatly appreciated and most welcomed. Your total satisfaction with our service is our ultimate goal.

Poor communication
Ordered 2 CDs which were described as being in stock. Delivery arrived of 1 item, no mention of when other item would be sent, so I contacted and was told that the only one they had was faulty and they would issue refund.
I contacted again and requested that they reorder for me. No reply, but refund did come through. Very poor communication and disappointing service.
Will be a while before I use again, if I do.
Following your reply I agree that this is not your normal service level.
However, your communication was appalling throughout and I had to prompt you before I received any information from you. I appreciate that things sometimes go wrong but there is no excuse for you not keeping me informed of what was going on.
Had I not chased, I wonder if/when I would have heard from you.

Many thanks for your feedback and apologies for the issue with your order. As the last remaining copy of the CD you ordered was damaged/faulty, it failed our quality control tests and we were unable to secure a new copy from the record label, so a refund in full was issued. We hope to be able to serve you again very soon as this is a rare occurrence, as you can see from our feedback.

Exceptional Service
This was a pre order for Zac Schulze Gang album. The CD was delivered on the day of the albums release. We all know that royal mail's incompetence is monumental, Proper music well aware. How they managed this feat is worthy of a doff of my hat.

Out of stock CD
One item from an order for several CDs was out of stock for ages (the rest were delivered within a few days). Rang the company after a few weeks and spoke to a very helpful chap who discovered (while I was on the phone) that the record company had sent fewer copies than requested by Proper Music. This was rectified within a week or so and the outstanding cd was finally delivered.
