I am so glad I contacted Property Claim Assist for help with my insurance claim after a burst pipe in my loft flooded my bedroom and kitchen. Having to deal with the insurance company and arrange the repair work myself would have been too stressful and overwhelming. The contractors that PCA use did a fantastic high quality job on my house and my contents claim was settled without any quibbles from the insurance company. I really don't think I could have got such a good outcome without PCA and I would definitely recommend this company

A massive thank you to Simon! We had a fire in our property and after a year we have finally managed to start rebuilding. Had it not been for Simon and his know how and experience of navigating the insurance system, we would have never achieved the outcome we did. The house fire was one of the worst experiences of my life, nearly everything I owned gone and the house destroyed. Then comes the insurance process and the insurance companies loss adjuster, at first it was ok but then felt like I was being tripped up at every opportunity.

Having your own loss assessor takes all the stress away, as they are working for you, doing all the liaising with the insurance company and their representatives and trying to get you the best outcome.

My first review ever and thoroughly deserved to Property Claim Assist!
I can’t stress enough how brilliant Simon and his team have been dealing with my insurers, who have been to say the least, slow, unhelpful and at times incompetent. I had quite extensive water damage occur through leaking pipe work (another story) and found Simon through the public loss adjuster register. If it wasn’t for Simon’s continued diligence and perseverance(which took the pressure off me dealing with this day to day and not having a clue where to start) I doubt we would have received the outcome and settlement which was far greater than we expected. Once again thank you Simon & PCA Team.

For my benefit it was important to have my own Loss Assessor. I live abroad and when my house burned pretty much to the ground, I was contacted by Property Claim Assist. To cut a long story short, 18 months, the insurance company finally paid up in cash. They were a nightmare. However, I am in no doubt that PCA got me the highest amount possible under the insurance I had.

Therefore, I would highly recommend this company should you be in need of fighting those insurance companies.

Property Claim Assist was extremely helpful. My insurance claim process took longer and my insurers were very difficult. They appointed an adjustor to reduce their liability and made things extremely difficult. Property Claim Assist's experience in dealing with difficult insurers was handy. They also knew exactly how to handle difficult claims and managed to get two and half times what the insurers had originally offered. I am happy I used them and will recommend them 120%. We cannot recommend Simon Colburn and Property Claims Assist highly enough. From the moment we brought him onboard to help us with our major loss after a fire to the end of our claim, he has been helpful every step of the way. Hopefully a major loss will only happen to you at most once in your life (it was certainly our first time) so you will not know the process or what to do. Simon has dealt with hundreds of loss events and so knows the process inside and out. He was always on the end of the phone to speak to and ask all our endless questions. In the first few weeks he gave us really solid advice and having someone to speak to who knew what they were doing really helped with anxiety levels. Our insurance company have been very difficult to deal with and so having Simon to speak to them on our behalf has helped the process no end. He has resolved so many issues with the insurance company and argued with them on our behalf. You really do need someone in your corner to ensure you get the best possible settlement from the insurance you have in place. Thanks to Simon for all your hard work, we very much appreciate it.

I cannot recommend Property Assist enough. From the moment I met Simon, on the morning my house was struck by lightening, he made what was an incredibly stressful time easier - taking the reigns and leading me through the entire claim process from start to finish. Always calm and professional and making sure things ran smoothly and that corners weren't cut. Thank you so much.... but in the nicest possible way - I hope we don't have to do business again. After a long term leak in the shower room of a flat we were advised by the Block management company that the insurance did not cover repairs to the damage. Thanks to the intervention of, and help, from Property Claim Assist our claim has been fully settled. Thanks also to the contractor who carried out the work, Marconstruct Ltd, who did an excellent job in a short time with minimum disruption.

The issues were the failure of a damp course and tree roots breaking a pipe. The Guarantee Protection Insurance denied that the damp course had failed. 3 independent surveys later they were forced to accept that it had, indeed, failed. The house insurers were reluctant to accept that the tree roots represented an ínsurable event. Gary Rogers at Property Claims Assist was persistent and professional in dealing with the insurers who were frequently slow in responding. After many months a compromise settlement was reached and the damp course was repaired. Gary was good at keeping me informed during this very frustrating process.

If you are questioning wether it’s worth getting a loss assessor to help you with your claim please do not hesitate!

I wish I had known such a profession existed before finding myself thrown to the wolves we call insurance companies after a fire at my family home

I have never had to make a house claim before so to have a fire rip through my home leaving my family homeless and me with burns from trying to save my children was traumatic so say the least. The effect on me mentally was so profound I simply was not strong enough to deal with the games and complete lack of empathy that we were shown by legal and general and the loss adjusters firm they appointed - The Davies group (who are without doubt the most unprofessional company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with).

Cut a very long story short I found myself (and I’m a strong woman who doesn’t suffer fools) unable to continue the daily battle I was subjected to by these sharks so after being offered a third of what our quote was to repair my home I reached out to Simon from Property Claim Assist.

Simon is a Loss Assessor something I had never heard of but had I then I could have saved months of anxiety and sleepless nights. His job is to fight your corner and make sure the insurance company give you what you are entitled to and treat you properly.

Simon came round the very next morning and after hearing exactly what we had been through he advised we were so far along with my claim it would not be easy but he was on board .

He told me had he been instructed earlier on then he could have protected us from the hands of Karen at the Davies group and made sure we were compensated without all the awful back and forth stresses we had endured!

We were forced to come home with no bedding as Karen refused to allow any more accommodation - this is shocking and I truly believe had I had Simon on my side at that point she would not have been able to suggest such an outrageous thing let alone enforce it! In fact I have a huge list of things they simply would not have dared to do had I had a loss assessor on my side.

From the moment Simon came on board my anxiety levels dropped and I felt so relieved to finally have someone to help me.

Simon took over the emails and dealt with the Davies group - his knowledge and experience ensured they could no longer take advantage of me and he had a whole list of things they had not dealt with.

Simon ended up nearly doubling our payout, but for me it was the support and empathy that he showed us that made such an awful experience bearable!

Had I not found Simon I would not have the money to repair our home & I would most probably have ended up having a nervous breakdown the pressure was so intense.

If I can help just one family by writing this review then that would be great - if you have had a flood, fire or are having to make a claim with your insurance do not be fooled as I was into thinking they are there to help you - you need a loss assessor and the earlier the better!

I was unfortunate and had a fire in my flat it was absolutely devastating. I meet Simon the following day and he explained everything to me about how to go through insurance company but I really didn’t want the insurance company taken advantage of me not knowing what I was allowed to claim for so I used Simon to deal with everything.
