Three to four years after getting Gary Rodgers and Property Claim Assist involved with our claim,I'm now in a position to leave an honest review about our experience with them. We put in a claim with our insurance company for ongoing damages affecting our shared building. After three years of the adjusters dragging their feet and acting very slowly, I found Gary and PCA. We have never used a loss assessor before, but with all the well described five star reviews and all that they claim to do on their website, we thought they would be just what we needed. The first thing we were asked to do was sign a contract giving them all the rights to our claim and the rights to negotiate on our behalf. For the first few months things were going well with emails going back and forth between them and our insurance company. The last email sent by PCA simply said...Any update ? and that was some time ago. Our experience with Gary and PCA has been shocking and totally unprofessional to say the least. They have NOT negotiated on our behalf, they have NOT kept us updated with what's going on and they simply stopped doing anything for us a long time ago. Just out of professional courtesy, an email to say they couldn't continue with our case would have put us in the picture and let us know where we stand. I have asked on numerous occasions for an update but with no reply. They asked to call me during my work hours which as a nurse just isn't possible and when I gave alternative times to talk, they would just say its not convenient. The stress and sleepless nights experienced with our case which is in its eighth year has been incredibly challenging to say the least, but all Gary and this company have done is add to that and we feel incredibly let down by their actions. All the well written, detailed five star reviews should have been the first red flag. Signing the contract should have been the second, especially and even to this day,Gary has not come to our property to look and introduce himself. If loss assessors do what they say they do then we need companies like this to fight in our corner, but make sure you do your research and actually meet these people face to face and don't trust a company who only have five star reviews, will not come on site or give you email updates as to what's going on with your claim.

Thank you for your reply, although I am a little shocked by it. We did not request that you withdraw. We found out you'd stopped working on our case when we hadn't heard from you in eighteen months and I'd asked for some advice and got no reply. We now know that it was because you "Couldn't influence the outcome, due largely to the limited control you had over the process". If you'd told us that we would've at have least known were we stood. Multiple site visits ? When, because we never saw you. 200 emails advocating on our behalf ? Really ,because again we never saw them. Come on now, if it is important to act with integrity and transparency as you say, then please at least be honest and, keep your customers updated so they know where they stand as fighting an insurance claim is stressful enough. I'm sure you do a great job in some cases when acting on peoples behalf but for us this was not the case at all.

Simon Colburn helped me through an incredibly difficult time after we had a house fire, which caused extensive smoke damage to the contents of our house. It was a traumatic time but having Simon to advise and deal with the numerous phone calls and emails involved in a case like this definitely made it less painful. We are a group of flats in an 1860's building. Gary and his Company arrived just in time to prevent a group meltdown. He took control of all communication between ourselves and our insurers. The nature of ownership of our flats and Management Company confused things but he dealt with it all.
The builders he brought in were absolutely excellent . Kind, caring, efficient, clean and friendly.
They did an amazing job inside of their time estimate.
We are all so grateful here that he was there to help us in a time of great worry and upset.
It began with a fire and water damage in February this year. Repairs started June 17th and were completed ahead of time on August 6th.
Once he took us under his wing we had nothing more to worry about.

We hired Property Claim Assist as an independent loss assessor after a major fire at our house, which required extensive internal repairs and full renovation.

Initially after submitting our claim the Insurers were not easy to deal (especially as we were living overseas with a significant time difference to the UK) but once Simon was appointed he was our single point of contact and took the stress out of handling the claim with the Insurer and Loss Adjuster from start to finish. He had a wealth of experience in dealing with Loss Adjustors for house fire re-builds/repairs and was pro-active, efficient and transparent at all times. Simon was always available to respond to our emails and take our calls to explain the process to us and provide further clarification when requested.

Property Claim Assist also has excellent relationships with reliable surveyors and building contractors so you are in very safe hands and can focus on the re-build/repairs rather than the complex claim admin process.

I would highly recommend Property Claim Assist (and Simon) to anyone who is in the unfortunate situation of having to make a major property damage claim, you will not have any regrets, five star service!

After a rather traumatic accidental house-fire I was a little lost on how to deal with the insurance and the claim. A friend advised me I should engage a third party tlike PCA so I reached out to these guys and thankgod I did. Simon and everyone else at Property Claim Assist were invaluable and I honestly don't know if I could have got through it all without them. Handling a big and complex insurance claim is very stressful and complicated. The guys at PCA explained how everything worked and guided me through it all and took up a lot of slack and alot of the work. It was a long process and at times I was stressed out with it all but they were patient and understanding. They helped out with so much of the legwork and gave experienced advice and guidance when it was required. After a large renovation - which took the best part of a year they were by my side till the end. So, a bit of friendly advice to anyone who is facing a claim with property insurance - it is all a minefield and you need guidance. This company helped me out massively - hence the 5 stars.

Professional, timely, efficient and effective handling of a massive Escape of Water Claim in a Grade II listed cottage. Gary knows the process, has the contacts and gets things done. I was having to deal with this loss while overseas, so having the Property Claim Assist interfacing with the insurance company, surveyor and contractors was a godsend. Would not have had such a fabulous remediation without Property Claim Assist.

It was a very stressful situation and we had no idea how to deal with such a large claim - insurers were unnerving with their lack of response and information. We found PCA through a web search and did a bit of 'sleuthing' to try to check them out! My only regret is that I didn’t find and involve Gary two years ago when I started my stressful insurance claim! He made time to visit my property at short notice and gave me general advice regarding my claim and was honest about the potential drawbacks of starting with his involvement at this late stage. He advised on how I can best proceed with my insurer and offered to assist me again in future if I get into difficulties with my insurance company regarding my property repairs. I cannot speak highly enough of Gary. He phoned me back incredibly quickly and then took his time to understand the (fairly complicated) insurance claim I was dealing with. Immediately understood and gave invaluable advice and professional insight. Despite me asking if he would like a fee, Gary offered his advice for free and offered to take a further look at the case further down the line. Where do I start…Property Claims Assist took our case on when no one else would. Gary has been brilliant from day 1. We were fighting a loosing battle with the insurance company.
