My wife and I bought our first Travel Trailer a couple of years back. Has always been our dream to be bop around the country in it.

Love our trailer immensely except for 1 thing. We were getting occasional sway even with a WDH.

I am a planner by nature so did a massive amount of research and determined the Pro Pride 3P was the right choice for us.

Sean, Brent and the Team at PP have been awesome. I even had many questions before buying and Sean always answered quickly and gave great advice.

Got the hitch, dedicated a Saturday to install it (videos and manual are great!), and first long trip was this past weekend.

I immediately noticed that the truck and TT no longer moved as a single unit. I could tell that the hitch was doing its job and moving without dragging my truck with it. Very different and very nice!

Long story short - a fantastic hitch from a terrific company with great customer service!

With the $ we all invest in our rigs it’s worth it to me to make driving with the trailer a pleasure. Plus, we love everything about our trailer and have now solved the only issue.

Installed my pro pride p3 hitch today and it was great to pull my 40 foot camper and feel relaxed. The install was easy and the results were awesome thank y’all so much for the peace of mind I now have towing my brand new camper. If anyone thinks the price is too much get one and feel the relief you have in it being there again thank y’all Eddie McAteer

I was unsure about the size of this light and wrote to customer service... No answer. I ordered it and it's laughably small. I asked to return this item almost two weeks and still have not received a return label. It seems like this company puts on the front of having incredible customer service .. Until you need to return something. Then you are ghosted.

Customer service with this company is second to none (as always). I needed to change to a 2.5” receiver w/ an extended drop for the stinger to fit the set up for my new truck. My order was shipped the same day I placed it. I’ve been a Pro-Pride user for 7 years and continue to be a very satisfied customer.

We purchased and installed the ProPride hitch while in NY. Pulled the TT to Florida and was not happy with the experience at all. Stopped in a rest area about half way down and rechecked the whole setup. Trailer would push/start to sway even when an F150 would pass us. Almost impossible to drive with any wind at all. No sway when we were the only vehicle around. When I pulled the hitch out of the truck in Florida I discovered the 2" solid hitch was bent! The part that goes into the truck and the part that goes into the trailer were not parallel by about 1/4". Trough pictures, Brent McDowell was able to determine the safety chain attachment was hitting at full turn(he has the pictures). There is no mark on the safety chain attachment and very little on the hitch itself. I find it hard to believe that would bend the 2" solid hitch. However, Brent sent me a new one at no charge and it is straight. We do not leave until April so I will not know if this was the problem. I can see where it would make for a bad towing experience. I hope to be able to write a better review when we get back to NY. If the safety chain attachment did indeed bend the hitch, then a note in the install manual is advised.

I had never heard of ProPride until a few weeks ago when a RV Salesman recommended them to me for my new RV...EVEN THOUGH HIS COMPANY DID NOT SELL THEM ! I thought this odd until I realized that this must be one heckuva product. I called and talked to Brent, who after several further contacts
answering my questions, has turned out to be a rockstar !

The Hitch I wanted was not available in time for me to use it so I talked with Brent in customer service and they made special accommodations to get me an even heavier rated hitch at a discounted price. I couldn't be happier with the service and quality of this company!

I truly appreciate being able to reach out prior to purchasing and receiving answers to my questions right away but more importantly being able to reach out after purchase with issues and receiving answers just as promptly.

Being new to RVing and concerned with sway, I embarked on discovering what could be done to make towing as stress free as possible. This led me to investing in a ProPride 3P Hitch. The packaging, quality and customer service is top-notch.

Installation: Be prepared to allocate four to six hours to install and setup the hitch properly. My biggest challenge was installing the weigh distribution jacks within the specified range of 24.5-to-27.5-inches from the center of the trailer coupler due to the electric trailer jack and propane tank assembly. Even after moving the propane tank assembly as close as possible to the trailer jack, raising the tank plate half an inch, and having the plastic tank cover straddle the front U-bolts of the leveling jacks (the latter suggested by ProPride), the best I could do was 28.5-inches. ProPride said the hitch would function at 28.5-inches. IMHO, having the plastic tank cover straddle the front U-bolts is more acceptable than ideal.

The 3P Hitch’s biggest cons are its cost, weight, and hitching on slanted terrain. The cost is multiple times more expensive than load-leveling hitches. If the hitch prevents just one accident, the investment is justifiable. Being able to tow a travel trailer with less stress and in windy conditions when others cannot is also valuable.

The 3P hitch is understandably heavy – it needs to be for strength. Before and after tongue weight measurements showed an increase of 200 lbs. A CAT Scale visit and Spring Bar adjustment(s) got the Rear GAWR of my half-ton truck was under its limit of 4,100 lbs. Three-quarter and one-ton truck owners are unlikely to exceed their rear GAWR. The “Stinger” too – the section of 3P Hitch that goes into the receiver and 3P Main Hitch Unit (MHU) is also heavy. It weighs approximately 65 lbs. and is the section one removes when not towing.

Next, given the Stinger couples to the MHU via a square connection, the stinger must align with the MHU like a key into a lock. Meaning the alignment of the tow vehicle and trailer is more demanding compared to hitching with a traditional ball and coupler. On level ground, hitching is relatively easy.

However, on slanted terrain, gravity pulls the MCU toward the lower side of the trailer. To get around this, I keep and use a stick to hold the MCU in position much like a kickstand on bike. Fortunately, slanted RV sites are uncommon. Note: retracting the load-leveling bars primarily changes the pitch of the MCU – not the roll so much.

To summarize, if you want the best sway control hitch on the market, I recommend ProPride’s 3P Hitch and the company itself for its outstanding customer support.

First it was shipped and received in a timely manner (ordered over the Christmas week).Install was reasonable (I did it in 4 hours) .😎Best of all was the road test, pure gold ! Had to get used to the porpoising lol, but quickly realized that there was no sway associated with it ! Thanks for the video’s, they were very useful.

After hearing from ProPride about the porpoising (needed to tighten up on the leveling bars) I pulled them up another inch and a half (Still in the correct range for level trailer pull and Walla, the porpoising went away, scary easy, right!
