Competent, engaged employees focused on customer service always earns loyalty. My bike shop recommended I contact Quarq / SRAM regarding issues with my Powertap G3 rear hub. (Apparently SRAM recently acquired Powertap.) I called and promptly got Alex who listened and clarified my concerns, quickly made excellent recommendations and patiently walked me through implementation. Very much appreciated. I will continue to endorse these great brands.

A $5 part
A $5 part, and $8.50 in shipping. I considered ordering two - just in case - and the shipping went even higher. REGULAR shipping - ie ~one week or more for delivery. The part weighs an ounce or so. And should not have broken in the first place. And is a pain to fix. Not really Quarq's design (it was on a Powertap), but the shipping charges are ludicrous.
Allowed me to use my pedals again but shouldn't be required and should be Free!!
Considering I shouldn't need to buy the new version battery caps just to make my pedals work is annoying to begin with. The price is very high. $20 for some battery caps. That's not the worst part, I have to pay $9 dollars for shipping!! In the world of free shipping, Quarq/Powertap you need to get in the game.

Just finished talking with Kyle inâŠ
Just finished talking with Kyle in Customer Service. FANTASTIC to say the least. The most patient and knowledgeable person I've ever talked to at a customer service department. Kyle actually spoke to me during my original call yesterday for approximately an hour, patiently answering all of my questions and helping me trouble shoot an issue I was having with my Power Tap P1 pedals. Then, after listening to the issues and suggesting various solutions after actually considering possible fixes outside the box based on what I was telling him, as opposed to simply reading from a script, he offered to speak with me further after I performed those suggested steps to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, those steps did not fix the problem, so I called back and believe it or not when I asked for Kyle I was actually put back in touch with Kyle - not some other person that I had to then reexplain the whole situation to again, which normally happens with customer service. Kyle then gave me additional ideas/suggestions, but also made sure to get things moving on the warranty side of things just in case those additional suggestions did not work. This was truly the best customer service/troubleshooting experience I have ever had or ever could have hoped for during a stressful situation. Cannot thank Kyle enough for all of his help.
