I love this app – makes investing super-accessible!
I love this app! I'm fairly new to investing but Wombat makes it so accessible and engaging. I particularly like the round-up feature and the curated funds that allow you to spread the inherent risk across several companies with a similar theme. I'd say it took less than 5 minutes from downloading the app to being fully verified and buying my first shares – very intuitive and straightforward, even for a novice.

Buggy
See support request 27955. Basically the app is buggy, things fail and you are not notified, leading to confusion / poor experience. This smacks of an “MVP” product pushed into prod too early, before proper QA.

Hi Laura, we are sorry that your experience of Wombat has not been up to our normal high standard so far.
The issue surrounding your failed trade has been investigated and measures put in place to to avoid this happening in the future. We did experience an unusually high volume of trades on that day (which is a good thing!) and we have learned from this and adjusted accordingly.
Also, like most apps, our app will occasionally need an update or reset; we find that deleting and reinstalling the app can solve a multitude of issues.

Simplicity is the key!
Simple to sign up and Wombat responded to queries very quickly which I like. Really good to be able to buy, sell or withdraw at the touch of a button. Wombat is helping make investing accessible to more people!

A good idea but at the moment it's a…
A good idea but at the moment it's a work in progress. I had an investment that didn't show properly, tried to put it in again and some how ended up in negative funds so have ended up covering the debt... And now have to wait for an "instant" payment... That's not instant. Fingers crossed these are teething problems because I like the format and the app.
Edit - This appears to have been resolved, and was done so quickly :)
