Installation of Quoya motorized curtain tracks is not a job for a beginner! Experienced DIYers should be fine with it, though. Bays are tricky. Essential to seek pre-sales advice (excellent) from the Quoya customer services phone line. In my case, as a result I changed my shopping list from QL600 to QL500, with double bay accessories.

The kit arrived promptly, well packaged and in good condition. A MINIMAL instruction leaflet was provided, but the website gives links to lots of relevant videos on YouTube, which are a must-watch before starting the installation, and during the process. I found the trickiest part was inserting and correctly tensioning the belt over a long run (~10 metres).
Another quite tricky step was positioning and adjusting the wall brackets around the (awkward) angles of my bay window. Pre-fitting all the brackets to the track, but leaving the bolts initially slack until the track was up, helped greatly with this step.

One point omitted from the main installation videos is that you can add the correct number of passive runners AFTER installing the track, by simply undoing the locking clips under the pulleys at each end; however you must then re-tension the belt.

Now it's all installed, the QL500 curtain system works smoothly and silently via the remote control, though the motion is quite slow and stately. For extra heavy curtains, or very wide windows, you can buy and fit an optional second motor to give more power and prevent stalling. Angled track bends reduce the effective motor power, due to friction. My curtains weigh only 9 kg, but there are 4 angle bends; however, a second motor was not needed in my case.

An important point that is NOT made clear when buying is that for automatic timer, or sunrise/sunset operation, you need a Bluetooth/wifi Home Assist automation hub setup or equivalent, controlled from your mobile phone or Alexa device. (The Quoya literature implies that the curtain system already includes timed operation.)

Another point worth noting is that replacing the batteries in the remote, or interrupting the mains supply to the motor unit, can cause the curtain system to change (or forget) its pre-set stopping positions, so that it may appear to get stuck, or not move at all. (My system kept stopping at the first bend, so at first I thought it was meeting too much friction there. in fact the closing stop point had reset itself to be the first bend position.)
Therefore it's very important to keep the small leaflet that tells you the magic button sequence to delete a wrong stopping position!

Customer services were also very helpful answering my queries after I'd finished the installation.

Overall, my experience of installing Quoya QL500 was positive and a good DIY challenge, though not a job I'd want to do every day. The result looks great, and the curtains move in a pleasingly classy way. I hope the system will prove to be reliable.

I bought one, after using for a few months, I bought two more.
OK, setting up is fairly straightforward by following You Tube videos.
I bought for vertical blinds; first for a 3m rear blind and the two for two halves of front window blinds, about 1.6m each.
I prefer Apple ecosystem and these are not Home Compatible or have matter. Thus, I had to use Tuya hub, not too happy to use a relatively unknown hub from China with no knowledge of security but reading reviews I was satisfied. I have setup Siri routines and they work well.
Now the functionality; they do the job, none of the three wheels handled the string for blinds well. Often, the limits set are upset as string slips sometimes and I have to re-program limits, the reason for reducing one star to 4 star. It is difficult to balance the correct tension on the wheel, but trial and error got me to best I will have. I don’t take away a star for not being home compatible or having to use that hub, I bought them in the knowledge of them.
Overall, I think they could be very good for bead controlled roller blinds, less so for vertical blinds that need a bit more pressure. Also I can only open or close, or slant, not both with one motor.

This smart curtain track is easy to fit and really quiet to operate. Has multiple options to operate from just a gentle pull on the curtains, a button on a remote control, or voice activation via a smart device. Very happy and will purchase again as I redecorate other rooms!

Great product. Easy to install and use with Alexa. Schedules to open and close blinds through the Smartlife app make for great convenience. I will be purchasing more so ALL my blinds can work with so much ease. This is the second blind motor I have from Quoya. The battery charge life so far has been 3 months which is excellent. A great piece of convenience kit.

Bought the 5M QL500 curtain track and found it to be Excellent quality, easy to put together and fit and simple to setup. Waiting on the 3M to be back in stock and will definitely buy another!

Really good quality and easy to install. We can open and close the curtains from anywhere in the country and the scheduler is simple to programme. The support is first rate too.

I purchased and installed the QUOYA MC11 Wireless Battery Powered Smart Electric Chain Blinds Motor over a month ago. It's a great option for blinds that are in hard to reach areas.

Excellent video instructions for every step of the installation. Works very well with Alexa, as well as having it's own app and a remote control.

Only improvement would be to have a battery level indicator in the app.

The curtains work perfectly. I had to ring up to sort out the final bit but they rang back very promptly and talked me through the app.
The online turorials were very calm and slow and made me feel less stressed than I was expecting.
The only criticism I have is that some of the later tutorials _ I wasnt sure what order I had to do them in, when it got down to downloading the app. .

I am really happy with the product. Now I can better manage my home even when I am not available. My kid can easily access the door with a passkey and fob, and I can remotely control everything. I highly recommend this product.

Curtain rail works well and is robust so hopefully will last a long time. Assembling it is fairly easy but take your time to set it up right. The instructional videos are excellent. The only thing I would say is the videos are not in the order you need them. An overview video outlining the key steps would be helpful.

Have been using their electric curtain tracks for a few years which are excellent. We’re moving house soon and want to take them with us but needed some additional wall mounting brackets. Contacted customer service and got reply within hours and wall bracket is on its way. Excellent service.

Excellent concept at fair price.

Excellent product however didn’t suit my location . But return process was excellent no fuss would recommend dealing with company.
