Mostly a very good experience. Mechanic was friendly and informative. 4 stars instead of 5 because I mentioned one of my front bulbs was out. After the service, he said he'd checked and they were ok.... ãã£ãšèŠã
Thankfully Iâve never had to make a claim but setting up a policy is straightforward enough. Iâve only give four stars because I find it galling that the RAC (along with other insurers) only reduced m... ãã£ãšèŠã

Avoid at all cost
Avoid at all cost. Took the policy out as it was the cheapest at £800. After moving home a month later and wanting to put my private plate, the quote was £400 for plate change , £450 to change address. Was cheaper to cancel and take out a new policy but still had to pay £45 cancellation fee + £45 intermediate fee. Never have I had issues like this with car insurance , they are just a broker that price bump you at any opertunity

I had a problem with the DD The name that the RAC use for my monthly paymentâs wasnât RAC, so I cancelled it , thinking it was a scam. Anyhow it took a while to sort out, calls back and forth, but it was all sorted in the end.

I did not receive a price for my insurance and it was just taken out of my account
It accounted for most of my salary and as a result I have really struggled this month financially.
I will certainly not be renewing with you again next year.

Price gouging
I was absolutely appalled by how much they charged to cancel my car insurance. It was almost equivalent to half a year's worth of payments. I had initially looked at swapping my old car for my new car, but they wanted to charge me twice what the other companies quoted.

Impressive cover
Simple process, very reasonable cost, good cover, and free roadside assistance included (an unexpected bonus!).
Previous high-profile insurance company refused to renew my cover (at the last minute) apparently because of my age, despite my having had a clean licence for over 55 years.
