Excellent app always up to date amd use it every day to track the real time of trains and the service charge on Trainline for tickets means Railboard is 50p cheaper for every ticket

Trains were on time, clean and there were seats.

Purchased my tickets through the Railboard app, which was very straightforward and reasonably priced. The only let down was on the day of travel, the train service on my first leg of journey was cancelled (on South West Railway), a typical occurrence on this line. My two onward connections on Greater Anglia were timely and far more comfortable.

Very easy to use the app while buying tickets and checking live trains. No booking fees.

Finding trains was easy enough but seeing what ticket type I had purchased was a bit obscure - Advance or Monthly off peak return. Got there eventually.

Railboard is a fantastic app for train travel—clean design, reliable schedules, and fast performance make it a pleasure to use. I especially appreciate the real-time updates and how easy it is to track delays or platform changes. The app feels modern and well thought out, and it’s clearly built with frequent travelers in mind.

One small area for improvement is the navigation during the ticket-buying process. While everything you need is there, moving between fare options, seat selection, and payment can feel slightly less intuitive than the rest of the app. A clearer step-by-step flow or fewer back-and-forth screens would make purchasing tickets even smoother.

Overall, Railboard is a very strong app that I rely on regularly, and with a bit of refinement in the ticket purchase flow, it could easily be best-in-class. Highly recommended for anyone who travels by train often.

Likes the booking process but the timetabling is a problem - caught the 3pm train back to Norwich - back in 5.46pm. Sherringham connection leaves at 5.45?!!!! Stupid time tabling. Why not match them up as they used to do?

Making a complicated journey in recent bad weather, it was great to be able to check as I went along that I would make my connections, and adjust my route if I needed to.
I find the App straightforward to operate and I like being able to plan route and timings first then switch on the pricing and payment.

Ad free; excellent UI; split ticketing; ability to pin journeys; seamless, no quibble refunds. All you need from a rail app. The train companies and National Rail should take notes.

Overall, the train carriage is bright and clean. However, the aisles are narrow and there is a lack of designated luggage storage space. As a result, luggage often has to be placed far away from its owner or near the train doors. When there is a large amount of luggage, this frequently obstructs passenger movement and access, which is far from ideal. It is suggested that dedicated luggage racks or storage areas be installed to allow luggage to be stored neatly without obstructing the passageways.

Secondly, regarding changes or delays to the train schedule, it is recommended that real-time notifications be provided via mobile phones. This would help passengers receive timely updates and adjust their travel arrangements more conveniently.

An excellent app for planning journeys and booking tickets. Simple to use.

Great app that gives split prices and sells them for a small commission. It doesn't charge booking fee on other transactions. Searching for tickets and timetables is cleaner and more user friendly than other platforms.
