I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Deshmukh for his exceptional care, expertise, and unwavering commitment. Prior to my surgery, I was legally blind and had an extremely complex medical background — so much so that several other clinics refused to take on my case.

Despite the challenges, Dr. Deshmukh carefully reviewed all of my medical notes and made me feel at ease from the very beginning. He performed highly complex cataract surgery on both of my eyes, and I’m truly overjoyed to say that the outcome has been remarkably successful.

I can now see so clearly — it feels like a miracle, and I feel incredibly blessed. Dr. Deshmukh’s skill, professionalism, and compassionate reassurance throughout the entire process gave me complete confidence in his care.

I’m profoundly grateful for the dedication and support I received both before and after the surgery. Thank you for delivering such a life-changing result. I highly recommend Dr. Deshmukh, especially for complex cases.

Dr Deshmukh was clear in his explanation of what the issue was and what my options were. I felt that I could make an informed decision as a result.

I had two cataracts removed together and was so anxious I opted for sedation. Mr Deshmukh was so reassuring about the operation and immediately put my mind at rest. I cannot praise him enough for such a
transformation of my sight as I can now
read and drive without glasses. All the

I was originally scheduled for cataract surgery in 2024 but this was delayed as I had other serious illness. By early 2025 my eyesight was significantly worse. I selected mr Deshmukh based on his evident expertise in cataract surgery, and I’m delighted I did so. My initial consultation was very clear about the options, which were complicated by my severe astigmatism. On the day of surgery mr Deshmukh and his (excellent!) anaesthetist had to adapt their plan because my eyes weren’t behaving. They still managed to do both eyes in one session and the results after 2 weeks have been astonishing. After wearing glasses full time for 54 years I now have excellent vision. I’m looking forward to wearing sunglasses on holiday!! Huge thanks to mr Deshmukh and all the team at moorfields private.

Four weeks ago I had double cataract surgery and 2 new lenses performed by Mr Deshmukh. I was at a point where my sight had got to the stage I was having issues with everyday life. The attention given to me by Mr Deshmukh and Paula was excellent and he informed me of all my choices in a really clear way. The procedure was simple and the recovery very fast. Just had my follow up and everything is brilliant and my eyesight perfect. No glasses for anything after 50 years! Highly recommended. Thank you.

Three weeks ago I had cataract surgery performed by Mr Deshmukh.I was extremely nervous but the whole experience was very easy mainly due to the care and attention given to me by Mr Deshmukh.The staff at Bishops Wood were very supportive and kind.I had my post-operative consultation this week ,very pleased that everything is fine ,my sight is now better than 20/20 !!

For several years, I have been seeing Mr Deshmukh for suspected glaucoma and have been very impressed by his skill and sensitivity. When he suggested that now was the time to have cataract surgery, I had no hesitation in following his advice. he is very good at explaining the procedures and I opted for bilateral surgery with premium interocular lenses. I was slightly apprehensive before the operation but was reassured by all the staff.Immediately afterwards I could read the notices in the corridor. At 83 years old, it is wonderful not to be wearing glasses. I cannot recommend Mr Deshmukh highly enough.

I’m 58-year-old who had early onset of cataracts. The cataract surgery was complicated by some RK surgery I had around 25 years ago. The cataracts were affecting my golf, I was struggling to play tennis under floodlights and drive in the dark. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. I now have perfect distance eyesight and can comfortably read texts on my phone and night vision is excellent. Mr Deshmukh took the time to understand my demands and complications with my eyesight. He clearly takes pride and interest in his work; I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I had a cataract procedure with a lens inserted into my right eye at Moorfields Private Clinic four weeks ago.
My left eye has had barely any vision since 2008 and the sight in my right eye had deteriorated so rapidly in the months prior to the intervention I could neither read nor use my computer. This was devastating as l needed to finish a book I've been writing for far too long.
I am deeply grateful to Mr Deshmukh who allayed my anxiety by explaining everything in detail. His care, sensitivity and expertise instilled trust. I knew I was in the best possible hands and all would be well. And I was!
The morning after the procedure I sat up in bed and marvelled at the intensity of colours, the blue of the sky, flowers, pictures. I could read
small print and recognise faces where I had seen only shapes the day before.
( It was a bit of a shock when I caught sight of myself in a mirror. I looked about a thousand years old. I must admit it was a big consolation to discover that everyone else had aged dramatically overnight also).
The staff at the Clinic were courteous and supportive in every possible way. A special thanks to Paula, Practice Manager to Mr Deshmukh who dealt with all communications swiftly and with ease.
I finished the book in the past three weeks so renewed gratitude and appreciation to Moorfields Private Clinic, Mr Deshmukh and his team. And to the Universe!

Mr Deshmukh performed a bilateral cataract lens replacement with EDOF lenses just over two months ago.

The change to my life has been phenomenal, a huge success and I am very grateful for Mr Deshmukh’s care and skill.

There were many options discussed at the initial consultation, and I believe that meeting is very important, where the proposed solution is tailored to your specific needs. In my case the EDOF lenses were agreed.

The staff at Moorfields private clinic were wonderful and supportive, and I walked out only a few hours after arriving for the operation.
I was overwhelmed by the colours I could see, and my dreams are now in super-technicolour! My cataracts had evolved slowly over some time, to a point where I was barely legal to drive even with spectacles. I work in the design industry and I am physically active, so eyesight is particularly important, and the improvement has transformed my life, thank you very much.

My Both eyes cataract removal with lens exchange to correct vision has been carried out recently by Consultant ophthalmic surgeon Mr Ragesh Deshmukh in the private patient unit at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He also carried out follow-up consultations after the operation, the results were excellent for both eyes. I cannot believe I no longer need one after 40 years of using spectacles! I am thrilled with his excellent surgical ability.
I am grateful for the exceptional care and skill Mr. Deshmukh and his team demonstrated in this matter.

Just over three weeks ago I had bilateral cataract surgery and installation of trifocal lenses. The whole process was easy and very professionally handled. I can honestly say that the surgery itself was pleasant and relaxed - if you’re putting it off because you’re nervous - don’t be!

Mr Deshmukh and Bishops Wood Hospital were great. Professional and courteous in every department. I highly recommend both. Mr D's choice of lens was perfect, my eyesight is now also perfect!

I can 100% recommend Mr. Rajesh Deshmukh for eye surgery. Mr. Deshmukh performed a cataract operation on my right eye during March 2024 and on my left eye eleven weeks later. In each case, it would have been possible to drive within two days after the operation. I drove after six days, as I do not drive every day. I can now read a car number plate at 63 metres. His whole medical team was very good at reducing my anxiety prior to the operations, which were painless. In each case, I would not have known that my eye had undergone an operation, other than the effects of the pupil dilation drops taking a full 24 hours to completely diminish. Before the operation, my eyes exceeded the legal requirement for driving, but the possibility of not being able to drive in the future was never going to be acceptable to me. I believe we forget how good our eyes once were, as changes happen very slowly over a very long time-period.

I went in to see Mr. Deshmukh for YAG surgery virtually blind in my left eye and left with perfect vision. Amazing! And all in the space of a couple of hours... Highly recommended!

On arrival, was received and attended to promptly and respectfully. Each & every member of the staff was friendly, caring, helpful & courteous all the way through to the operating theatre and beyond. The surgeon made you feel confident and the procedure was comfortable and pain free.
