I have had no vision in my right eye for nearly 50 years so was very concerned as my eyesight deteriorated in my left eye over the last few months due to a developing cataract. This is most severe when driving at night. I have been wearing glasses for about 20 years for distance and reading. Mr Deshmukh recommended an EDOF lens adjusted to correct my astigmatism. The results are simply amazing I can drive at night and read without glasses.

My eyesight has been transformed and I am delighted with the result. A fortnight ago I had a double cataract procedure performed by Mr Rajesh Deshmuk. He gave me very helpful advice and was very clear about the possible risks. We discussed what would give the best results in terms of lens implants and went for two enhanced monofocal and EDOF lenses. I no longer require glasses and both my long and medium distance sight is very good. All in all I am very pleased and can recommend Mr Deshmukh very highly.

I had cataracts in both eyes, and went to see Dr Rajesh Deshmukh at Moorfields Private eye surgery. The initial consultation was great even though he has to tell you everything that 'could' go wrong. I was told in detail what the surgery consisted of and the fact that he would do both eyes at the same time and most important to me I could have the trifocal lenses that allow me to see distant and close up without having to use glasses.
On the day of the op you have your own private room and whoever is accompanying you can stay there whilst the operation is carried out, which is really reassuring. The operation was completely painless and only took about 20 minutes per eye, then you get taken back to your room and there is a meal waiting !!! and yes you can see it perfectly.. He did a wonderful job and I now have 20-20 vision .. my husband is next!

I was shocked to discover I had cataracts and was also diagnosed with severe dry eyes, after having some issues with blurred vision and irritable eyes. Mr Deshmukh was very patient and suggested treating the dry eyes before commencing with surgery for cataracts for the best outcome. I had bilateral lens replacement with EDOF IOL and I no longer need reading glasses. It's so good to be able to read small print and not be forever searching for my glasses.

I’ve worn glasses for 60 years, but after my cataract operation, performed by Mr Deshmukh whereby he inserted bilateral lenses into both eyes I have no need for glasses anymore - which has been a revelation!
Highly recommend the procedure, my care at Moorfields was exemplary and the follow up care was superb.

In March 2022 I had cataract surgery in both eyes, done at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. My surgeon was Mr. Rajesh Deshmukh, and I could not be more pleased with the treatment I received. I was given a thorough eye examination and then the various options were explained. I opted to have the EDOF lenses, as these offered the best outcome for me. I was nervous about the operation, but Mr. Deshmukh and the anaesthetist were both very reassuring, and I had both eyes operated on at the same time. The operation was a total success. After a very short time, my sight had improved so that I can now read small print without glasses, and I am able to drive again.

I had cataract surgery performed by Mr Deshmukh. After a thorough and comprehensive initial consultation we decided EDOF lenses would be the best option as the replacement lens in my case. I wanted maximum freedom from any requirement to wear glasses (I previously wore them for driving and TV only) and I was aware of certain issues that can occur with multi focal lens such as halos or night glare. For the prescription, one lens was set more for distance and the other a little shorter for reading. Having now just had the second lens replaced, the results so far are excellent. My distance vision is better than 20/20 and the clarity of the lens is quite amazing after looking through a cataract for so long. My shorter left lens, the more recent operation, is still settling down but I can already read quite small print. For example, it’s easy to read my iPhone 12mini.
A couple of things to note. I am noticing floaters a little more, although I’m assured these will subside, and I was unfortunate to have a retinal tear a couple of weeks after my first operation, just probably unlucky but it can happen so be careful. However, would I still recommend the procedure and Mr Deshmukh, absolutely. I can see like I could many years ago with no requirement for corrective glasses at all, no halos and very good night vision. So in sum we have achieved everything that was planned right at the start.

Mr Deshmukh carried out cataract surgery on my left eye at the end of March 2022. I had an initial consultation when Mr Deshmukh explained the options, procedure and the risks involved and answered any question I may have had. The surgery took place a week later when once again Mr Deshmukh explained the procedure and answered any questions. I had a follow up appointment with Mr Deshmukh three weeks after the surgery, there were no issues and I was discharged.
Overall I was very impressed by the way I was treated and would thoroughly recommend Mr Deshmukh to any one considering cataract surgery

I recently had cataract surgery on one eye. Mr Deshmukh was very professional and reassuring throughout, taking time to explain the lens options. The surgery went so smoothly and painlessly that I have decided to have the second eye done straight away.

Dr Rajesh Deshmukh performed cataract surgery on my left eye, after which I could instantly see distance better than I have been able to for more than 30 years! Throughout, he was courteous, professional and reassuring, taking care and time to explain my options and the procedure. Highly recommended.

Three weeks ago Mr Deshmukh performed a cataract surgery on my right eye. At the consultation he explained the different lens that were available and the benefits and possible problems associated with each, this was slightly complicated by the fact that I had LASIK surgery 22 years ago, Mr Deshmukh took the time to answer all my questions and I found him to be very reassuring, I opted for an Edof lens. The surgery was straightforward and the aftercare has been excellent. The lens I chose has given me good distance and intermediate vision and I wear low strength reading glasses for close work. I am very pleased with the results and when I need the other eye treated I will happily have it done with Mr Deshmukh. All in all A*****

I am extremely happy with the outcome of Mr Deshmukh’s cataract surgery on both my eyes. I can now see better than I have for years and can give up varifocal glasses (that were beginning to not be good enough) and only have glasses for reading small print. A huge improvement. Mr Deshmukh is very professional and takes time to answer any queries and to make you feel comfortable and confident with the procedures.

On 17 February 2022, I had surgery by Dr Deshmukh to remove cataracts from both my eyes. Surgery was performed very professionally and with no pain; it was very successful.

Before surgery, I could not see from the right eye and only partially from the left eye; I could not read emails, books, newspapers, etc without the help of a magnifying lens. Subtitles or text on TV screens were all blurred: I had to stay close to the screen to be able to read the scripts. Worse was when I had to travel and had to ask other people's help in reading time tables, departure tables etc.

Now, after surgery, I can do all of the above without any problem and without any help from magnifying glasses. What a wonderful experience!

I can now see the world with new eyes, literally.
