I used Ransome Memorials back in 2006 when I was looking to get a headstone for my sons grave. The service that was given was second to none. Chris was so professional, knowledgeable and compassionate from start to finish. The headstone was erected and was a beautiful piece of work. Moving forward to a few weeks ago.....the headstone had started to lean a little and I contacted Chris to explain the situation. He understood what I was saying and said to leave it with him. Less than 10 days later the problem was remedied and the headstone was looking just as it did on the day it was installed. Thank you Chris for your speedy service in remedying the tilting headstone. The work you did to sort this problem was great. I would highly recommend this family business for any Stonemason requests.

Chris was easy to communicate with at all times, as well as having empathy for our situation. We needed my fathers headstone removed and put my mothers name on to the headstone he took the headstone away done the engraving and gave it a good clean and put the stone back all this was done to a professional standard.

Chris turned up on time to look at the headstones that I had sent photos of.
Chris took the headstones away and before I knew it they were back in situ. Beautifully cleaned and the lettering done accurately and sympathetically . Not only that, he had tidied up the earth around the headstones making it easier to plant some small bedding plants and in addition the integral flower holders had also been replaced.
The job was very reasonably priced considering the work involved. I’d recommend at the drop of a hat.

When looking for a headstone for my daughters grave I decided to look at stonemasons local to my area. From start to finish Chris made our experience of choosing a headstone a very smooth process for my family and I. He kept me informed by email at every step from drafting the stone, informing me that the materials had arrived. He gave me a rough idea of a date when the headstone would be erected and dealt directly with the cemetery on our behalf. The headstone is beautiful and was in situ earlier than was expected. I would highly recommend Chris and his team to anyone looking for fantastic workmanship and attention to detail. We as a family can't thank Chris enough for his professionalism and empathy and great workmanship.

Ransome Memorials recently made a memorial stone for my late mother. My emails or phone calls were always answered promptly, the stone was fitted in a very timely manner and the work completed to a high standard. I would highly recommend.

I asked Chris if he might be able to clean and re-letter my mum‘s headstone which was looking very weather battered and sad. He did a fantastic job, it really looks like it’s brand new.

My mother’s memorial stone looked very sad with very faded lettering that we could hardly read anymore so I contacted Chris at Ransome Memorials to see if he could improve it. He did a fantastic job and it now looks amazing. The lettering is so clear and the whole slab looks like new. He did a quick and professional job and I would definitely recommend him.

Chris responded promptly to my request for an amendment to an existing memorial. He arranged all the admin/ paperwork prior to the work and arranged collection.
The work was completed and the memorial returned to site within the timescales specified. We are very happy with the work that was carried out for my late father’s funeral.
