Amazon is a disappointment

Amazon has been using Purolator in my area forever, all of a sudden they start using Intelcom/dragonfly and packages are not showing up. I’m having to call Amazon and dragonfly every day waiting on packages 10 days. I’ve checked with neighbours neighbouring communities even people elsewhere in the province and they’re having the same issues. I have told dragonfly that they are making Amazon look like a joke and Amazon is providing them the circus by even letting deliver these packages. I posted on Facebook and the amount of feedback of people who are disappointed and have had to have packages rerouted two and three hours away to a son or a daughter‘s house because the dragonfly drivers are in adequate. They want me to be respectful and I’m trying really hard. I truly am but I had a dragonfly driver call me just last week and ask me where he was, I kid you not. I just don’t know when Amazon is gonna take it serious cause we the consumers are what’s keeping them going. I have been waiting over 10 days for a package and when I did receive it, it was beat to pieces. The packaging was absolutely destroyed. It was embarrassing actually.

Really not perfect when it goes wrong

Well you would think this company would have all the answers but NO, here is my Problem. Yes i am a prime member.
Ordered an item that should have arrived the very next day, next day it does not arrive and on their site nothing no message what so ever. Two days, site says problem in delivery. Day number three site says a new delivery date in two more days. Now 6 days and now site says item is undeliverable and I should get a refund within 14 days.
Here' what's wrong to me, if an item has not been delivered, then Amazon should contact me and ask me if I still want this product and if I anwer yes then reship a new one, but NO they would rather you wait and not know and all this time the item is still available on their site to ship the next day. I called and told them that if they cannot deliver a product then a second attempt should be offered automatically. The person I was taking to at amazon said i was absolutely right but told me she can only submit my refund faster, told her it's not her fault but that this is a bog BOO!!!!! For amazon that is not perfect. Told them I would buy the product i needed at a hardware store instead.
You pay but they don't deliver, Prime what, waist of time.

I stopped ordering from Amazon

I stopped ordering expensive products on Amazon.

In the past, items arrived completely wrong, often cheaper models than what I ordered, or delivery drivers would just throw packages outside in the snow (I live in a residential building, and they were too lazy to even enter the building).

The whole experience made me feel like I was dealing with scammers who have no accountability.

Ordering from Amazon started to feel like gambling.

The level of negligence and disorder this company shows is honestly shocking.

Now I order directly from the sellers. It feels safer, more reliable, and honestly much more pleasant.

Amazon people are LIARS

Amazon people are LIARS. Was promised a delivery valued at $500 and delivery time keeps getting bumped. Like I don’t have a life? I have to sit at home and wait? Because of the value it has to be hand delivered to ensure delivery. Why not do those packages in the morning so you don’t waste people’s valuable time. People work you know and most probably make more than what you pay your drivers. I should cancel my account and credit card.

Well today is my fourth bad experience


Well today is my fourth bad experience with Amazon, delivered my parcel two blocks away and they kept trying to tell me it was delivered and it was on my doorstep. Third bad experience, order got caught up in postal strike, kept getting messages saying it was out for delivery. Package finally arrived after strike, sent package back, because it was a third party vendor had to pay shipping ( over $28.00 ). Never did get refunded from Vendor. Second bad experience, Purchased Sketchers shoes, wrong size tried sending back they wanted a 25 percent restocking charge as well as shipping costs. Kept product. First bad experience, ordered Amazon Echo could not get product to work after numerous calls with their technical support wanted to send back but they said it had been too long. And the worst part of this is I keep going back for more abuse, isn't there an honest online retailer.

Incredibly disappointed by Amazon's sudden lack of basic empathy and accessibility

I really don't understand Amazon's customer service anymore. Sometimes they are so understanding, kind, and genuinely caring, but there are times like this where I completely lose faith in their support. It has been over a week of pure frustration trying to return an item. As a person with disabilities, I physically cannot take packages to Canada Post. I have explicitly and repeatedly asked for a Dragonfly home pickup accommodation. Despite multiple chats, no one has been able to fulfill this simple, standard request. To go from usually helpful service to being completely ignored on a basic accessibility need is baffling and incredibly disheartening. Amazon needs to train its staff to handle disability accommodations consistently.

Amazon canada became a joke

Amazon canada became a joke. Stupid .Delays, no costumer service. Amazon have to take care of . I paid every year prime membership and i don't deserve to be traded like i was , 3 agents pass me and finally transferred me to the gen manager ( i have the name but i don't want to makes trouble) and the manager end the chat without any explanation. My order was delayed for 3 days with no reason.
This is the last yr prime member.

Calling this membership PRIME is like putting a gate around a dilapidated trailer park.

I cancelled my prime membership after this final horrible interaction with the monster. I ordered a laptop, it didnt work - so I sent it back and ordered another and that one was missing a key and other keys weren't working as they should, and the seller made me pay for the return. I contacted Amazon who agreed to refund my cost of the return, and told me to do an a to zee claim which would then have me refunded the cost of the return only - the laptop is refunded by the seller.
Well. What a mess.
The seller refused to refund me, told me I opened an a to zee case on him and now he COULDNT refund me. That was not at all what I did. I submitted the cost of the Canada Post return cost of the laptop to Amazon, and somehow they took it as this was a seller problem. The agents by the way are a mess also... after 4 days of calling Amazon and speaking tp at least 15 agents every single time, then more on the chat, not one thing was done I was robbed! So buyers beware: the seller is Computer Deals USA, and they sell junk. Amazon didnt stick to their own policies and their own OFFER TO REFUND ME for that matter and for that and for the 20 plus hours I spent on the phone with rude agents who have no problem hanging up on a customer instead of resolving a serious problem: calling the membership here "Prime" is like putting a gate around a trailer park, and having people pay 100 bucks a year to get the worst service I have ever experienced in my 51 years on this planet is a joke.
I hope this gets viewed by many - you dont have to pay for a membership to order from Amazon and frankly why pay it? There is nothing prime about it. Nothing comes faster. Service isnt better in fact its worse - and there is no accountability. Amazon, I was a true and loyal customer and loved shopping there and you can thank your own customer service for dropping the ball so many times that Id just rather not anymore. Good riddance.

Too many low-quality knockoffs and fake reviews

Shopping on Amazon has become incredibly frustrating because the platform is absolutely flooded with cheap, generic knockoffs and third-party sellers with manipulated reviews. You look for a simple household item, and you have to scroll through dozens of identical products with weird, unpronounceable brand names that all have 5-star ratings. I recently ordered a tech accessory that had thousands of great reviews, only for it to stop working after a week. It’s clear the review system can't be trusted anymore. Amazon really needs to clean up its marketplace and prioritize quality control over hosting millions of shady sellers. I'm starting to buy directly from retail websites instead just to avoid the gamble.

Outstanding Selection, Poor Treatment of Customers and Employees

I have been using Amazon for many years, and I believe it is important to acknowledge what the company does well. The product selection is exceptional, and the Prime delivery service is generally efficient and convenient.

However, my overall experience has been increasingly frustrating.

The main issue is account management. Amazon has closed my account more than once, and I still do not fully understand why. I travel frequently for work and often access Amazon from different countries, hotels, airports, and occasionally from in-flight Wi-Fi networks. These activities appear to trigger security alerts.

Each time this happens, I am asked to provide documentation to verify my identity. I carefully follow the instructions and provide exactly the documents requested. Despite doing so, my account has again been closed without a clear explanation. Dealing with customer service has been extremely frustrating. Representatives are always polite and apologetic, but I rarely see any concrete resolution to the problem.

My second concern relates to Amazon's labor practices in Quebec. I was disappointed to see the company close its Quebec distribution operations shortly after workers sought union representation. While companies have the right to make business decisions, this situation left me with the impression that Amazon was unwilling to engage constructively with employees seeking collective representation. As a customer, this has negatively affected my perception of the company.

Amazon remains an industry leader in terms of selection and logistics, but repeated account issues and concerns about corporate practices have significantly reduced my confidence in the company.

Nothing solved of course

Was contacted by Amazon saying they cannot or will not change couriers even though I expressed my concerns about having drivers call me outside and berate me in front of neighbours because I asked on courier customer service site about late and missing items. Now I am inconvenienced because I don’t any that courier now they need to deliver to pickup site and orders due today on Sunday are not being delivered. Why am I being punished for those companies short comings! I literally just cancelled every item I had waiting for courier with Amazon but they could give a crap

AMAZON LIES AND CHEATS!!!!!!

I thought Amazon was a trusted company and I found out you can't trust them!
I ordered piece of polycarbonate sheet, I ordered the 3 mm thick. When I got it, I noticed it was extremely flimsy, and when I measured it with a tape measure, a fernier scale, and a c-type caliper, it was barely between 1.5 and 1.6 mm thick. Mm thick. The seller told me that you have to allow 1 mm error due to different types of tools being used to measure. They either have to be totally illiterate or blind because even with a tape measure you can blatantly see that it's around the 1.5 mm, and nowhere near the 3 mm. I reached out to Amazon and they told me to send it back, after a few go-arounds with the seller and different addresses. Amazon told me to send it to St. Gervais postal code g0r3c0. I also got a printed copy that said return shipping will be refunded for damaged or defective by items and may be covered for other reasons. Once the return is delivered to the seller, please share the shipping costs for the return in order to get your refund...
I did that, submitted it and they sent me an email stating that they are not covering their return fees, I did get the object refunded from the seller and the initial $9 that I paid for shipping from the seller. But I am out $68 Canadian, for the return shipping that I was told I had to do in order to get a refund from the seller, and I was told to send it and I would get a refund. I don't know who is working there, I don't know if quality control is an issue with their customer service reps, but this is absolutely ridiculous the way I was treated. I purchase a lot of stuff and I mean a lot of stuff off Amazon, and they turn around and slap me in the face with this sort of ignorant And disrespectful result to a case that I filed in trust with them, followed their instructions to a t, and was thrown in front of the bus with their results!
So in effect, even if you have something in writing from Amazon, don't trust it!!!!!!!

Don't order large items from Amazon!

ordered an Recumbent Exercise Bike from Amazon.ca, and received a broken monitor screen. When I called them to get a replacement part, I was VERY RUDELY told by the supervisor that I need to take apart the whole bike (which took an hour to put together), pack up and drag this extremely heavy item to some return place. I could then get a refund after several weeks. Order another bike and hope that the parts are all not broken! I can not believe that although I am disabled, they actually expect long term customers to do this. When they "guarantee customer satisfaction" as their selling feature! BEWARE of ordering large items from AMAZON!!!

If I would give it zero stars I could. I contacted Amazon and was transferred overseas to customer care. an order I placed was cancelled due to what they thought was suspicious activity even though it came from my phone and was being delivered to my address which has been the same for the last 2 + years. I ask the agent to reinstate the order. Which she said she could then insisted that I go in and place the order, she would but she wanted to verify that I was able to do it myself. Frustrated but I did, then as I am asking her about the password reset she is speaking over me to ask if order was successful which I answered yes and wanted to talk about the password reset as there was no fraud and I did not want to do that. she again asked me if my ordered sucessful . I said yes and asked again about password and my ottp set up. In the end she kept talking over me saying the same things over and over and over not listening to what I was asking or saying the issue was. kept reading from a script. The final straw was when I finally got her talking about the password issue she once again asked me if my ordered successful and had gone through which I had already verified twice and kept insisting I give her the last 4 digits of my order #. I asked her what did I tell you earlier and as she began asking for the digits again, I said what did I tell you twice earlier. Bottom line I get that Amazon outsources for profitability but then train the people you hire on how to talk to your customer base. Teach them to listen to clients and allow them to finish without assuming and talking over them. Hear the customers questions and respond accordingly. Do not repeatedly say the same things over and over not listening to the answers you have already been given. In a world where things are increasingly challenging respond with basic courtesy and simple client care etiquettes. Have a strong enough mastery of the English language to listen understand and respond appropriately to customers enquiries and concerns l. And then help them accordingly without frustrating them to the point of being angry. Amazon please take the time to properly train and educate your customer service representatives. Finally, When I asked for an customer care email I could send my concerns to Amazon, I was told that for security purposes they are unable to give out that information. Isn’t that convenient for all overseas workers who don’t want feedback on their performance. If Amazon sees this I was speaking to their customer care Representitive at 11:02 am pacific standard time May 27,2026 you can check out who I was dealing with initially and hopefully improve client care and also on your website put a complaint email where we can address these issues with your company directly.

J'ai acheté une paire de gants de boxe


J'ai acheté une paire de gants de boxe sur Amazon.ca et malheureusement il avait un trou dans une doublure. J'ai été obligé de les retourner et le livreur d'Amazon est venu les chercher à ma porte. Le paiement a été remboursé, mais peu de temps aprÚs il me charge les gants encore et encore sur ma carte de crédit. Malgré les appels au service à la clientÚle ou l'on me dit que le problÚme est réglé et que je ne serai plus facturé car ils ont reçu mon retour, je suis encore facturé. Donc Amazon.ca essaie de me voler je suis écoeuré de me faire facturé et leur service à la clientÚle sont de vrais incompétent. Je vais être obligé d'envoyer une mise en demeure et faire un plainte à l'Office des consommateurs car Amazon essaie de me voler. C'est une compagnie malhonnête et frauduleuse.
