Amazon used to be great but now itâs getting worse day by day! I have been ordering on Amazon for 4 years now. I recently ordered something that never arrived. I contacted Amazon customer service twice about not receiving my package and they told me to wait another day because the order might be late. I waited another day still didnât receive my package and contacted customer service again. The customer service then asked me to do a police report/ investigation so I can get my refund. I told them that doing a police report would be a lengthy process and a stupid thing to do because how is it my fault that I paid for something that I didnât receive. The customer service then told me to send in my health card or my drivers license with my information which was extremely weird. I sent it to them later on through email and got a response after 2 days that I can now contact customer support and get my refund, so I went ahead contacted customer service for the 5th time and the customer service guy told me that he has processed the refund back to my bank account and it will take 5-10 business days to receive it. I then waited for a few days and all of a sudden I got an email from Amazon that my account has been banned because I was asking $98 refund for my order that I didnât receive. I was extremely confused and frustrated. I tried logging back into my account but I didnât let me. So I called Amazon and they told me they canât do nothing. I then went back and emailed them again and they replied back that not only will they not restore my account but they will also not refund me anymore. After days of waiting and wasting my time and energy on customer service, emails and calls I didnât get a refund for something that I never received. Luckily I contacted my bank and they did an investigation for 2 days and gave me my refund. I will never shop from Amazon again. The app has gotten trash and they are extremely stingy and a bunch of scammers. I had to warn both of my friends and family.

I bought a Samsung Fold 7 on a promotion for a free double storage upgrade + $200 credit from Amazon 2 days before the expiration date. They cancelled my order with a suspicious transaction reason and blocked my account. On the last day of the promotion date, they released my account. I still saw that promotion and called in to confirm the promotion and was told yes, and an agent said that he also put a note on my account about that promotion. I re-ordered it. I received a 256 GB instead of 512 GB as listed within a day, and no more $200 credit. They deleted 2 promotions after I ordered. I called in, and another agent said there is no note on my account. I trusted them completely, that's why I didn't take a screenshot of the promotions. I am a long-time customer and have ordered a lot of items; now I am mad, disappointed, and dissatisfied with them. They used to be very good at customer service and after-sales.. I will return it and have already bought a different one from eBay at a price is only $2100, new and sealed.
Worst experience ever- missing items
Worst experience ever. I was at home when they delivered the package and I was supposed to receive 8 items including big cold pressed juice and keyboard. I took the box in a minute when it was delivered. It was a small box and when opened, 3 high value items were missing.
Called customer service and they were of no help. They ask me to file a police complaint and told me somebody took it. I was at home and received the delivery. Also, they can see clearly and 8 items canât fit in this small box.

Amazon has really gone down hill in the past couple of years. I remember when they first got their own courier system in place and how much better it was than UPS, Fedex, Canada Post etc... Unfortunately that no longer seems to be the case. I have had orders that were "Out for delivery" with their cool new map system showing it to be 5 or even 3 stops away only to be in the end not delivered that day. I even had one order recently that did this to me 3 days in a row till I got in contact with Amazon on both the 2nd and 3rd days and then it finally got delivered! How is a package 3 blocks away (According to Amazon's tracking map!), and then still can't get delivered for 3 successive days!
Now about trying to get in touch with an actual human @ Amazon.ca Have you noticed there is no longer an option to get into a chat or a phone call when you are contacting Amazon for an issue? You just go round and round with no one to discuss the issue with other than their stupid LOIB (Lack Of Intelligence BOT!). Well I mentioned this to an associate that I had to phone after looking up the Amazon support number on Google (Which is incredibly dangerous in this day and age but their support number is nowhere to be found on their website!). Once I verified it was actually Amazon I was speaker with, She spent 15 minutes trying to find a way on their website to contact a human and almost gave up before she finally found a way. Here is it. Start your contact process as you normally would. Then keep clicking on the "Something else" option (There will be several pages of this!). Keep doing that till you get to the list with the "Registry Discounts and Welcome Box". Click on that. Then under the "Wedding And Baby Registry" option click on the "I Need More Help" option. Finally you will be presented with the option to start a chat or phone call. Talk about having to jump through hoops to get some service!
Poor management
Ordering from this place used to be good. Lately I'm finding that my account was hacked, money was taken, and the accounting and management of orders is incorrect. There is false advertising as far as the cost if shipping without membership. They are failing to list the shipping price separately from the cost of the product and initial total bill. They used to ship all the items ordered in one order together by the next day, now they are trying to send something that says next day from out of country after you make purchase. All in all they are a frustrating scam that is there to give you comfort but actually really just mismanages their business and try to scam as much as they can out of you.
Surprised that people aren't more positive about Amazon in Canada
I have only had positive experiences buying things on Amazon.ca. They deliver quickly and follow delivery instructions. I live in an apartment and I hate it when I get a card instead of them leaving a package at my door. Their prices are pretty good. I bought an eBike from them and was very pleased with it. I also like how you can pay in installments for some products but only if it's a certain price point. You can't bundle and pay in installments. I used to love their customer service but now it's become a maze when I have to use it. I do eventually get things resolved. I rather not "feed the Bezos Beast" if I didn't have to but I do. I did have an issue cancelling my order because of the quick shipping. Two hours after purchase was too late and it wasn't worth the hassle of returning it. I haven't had to return anything to Amazon so I don't know what that is like. You can't refuse delivery because they just leave it at your door without knocking. They do deliver on time and have a decent tracking system. That's why I am giving them 4 Stars. Room for improvement but overall pretty happy with their many products & services.

Unacceptable experience with Amazon.
I subscribed to Amazon Prime to expedite a 6-item order that was "not yet shipped" for over 24 hours â including a unique Amazon Warehouse projector. As soon as I subscribed and tried to cancel the order to reorder with faster shipping, Amazon automatically canceled only the projector (now unavailable), and marked the rest as shipped â locking all options.
The remaining items are now arriving Friday, the same day I was trying to avoid. Despite subscribing while the order was still "not shipped," there was no way to change delivery or contact the carrier after. I wasted 2 hours with customer service; every reasonable solution was denied. No order reinstatement, no expedited replacement, no compensation â and I was even blamed for Amazonâs own system behavior.
Now Iâm left with a \$30 loss, a useless Prime subscription, and no help. Totally unacceptable.

Amazon customer service agents are rude and obnoxious , and itâs not about what we want as customers. Buyers beware of scams and third-party seller, never order from them. If your item comes damage prepare to have a bad experience with the seller, and paying extra for return shipping out of your own pocket or other fees. What a nightmare that was. Amazon delivery mishandled my packages by throwing them at my door, packages were delivered to wrong unit number of my building. Packages were placed at unsafe location such as at the lobby of my building. Amazon was the best years ago, then they became the worst to deal with. Especially over the phone.

So Amazon misses their own delivery deadline, admits fault, tells me I can keep the itemsâbut wonât give me my money back until they eventually show up a week late?
This is manipulative policy design. They break their promise, hold your money hostage, and expect you to just accept it.

I would rate them as zero if I could. Their customer service is trained to be passive aggressive and very uncooperative. They're even using fake names now! For example I had one person claiming to be named Ravi Shankar! Amazon Delivery tried to deliver a package at 6:00am and claim I asked for rush delivery (which I most certainly did not). I was then informed that rush deliveries can be delivered anytime between 4:00am and 10:00pm... WHAT?! Are they insane? When I told them I never authorized a rush delivery, I was told that it's up to the customer to verify delivery is accurate. So now we have to correct their incompetence? Amazon makes everything dificult. From requiring to sign-in tto track a package to making customer service nearly impossible to reach and when finally reached you're faced with speaking to a soulless robot that may transfer you to a soulless automaton of a person that lies to you and aggravates the situation. Once you've finally had enough and ask for a supervisor, they lie again saying the supervisor can't do anything more than they can. Once a supervisor is put online after arguing with the customer service flunky for 5 minutes, he or she talks down to you and blames you for their inability to do their jobs properly. I've had it with those lunatics!!!
AMAZON.CA PARCEL DELIVERY
With respect to your review guidelines, I have already been honest, helpful and constructive with Amazon directly, and in return received only evasiveness and obfuscation (delivered with a dollop of disdain).
Despite having my full and correct address on a parcel, Amazon delivery chose to leave it in a mail room rather than at my door. Despite being a senior with mobility issues, they point-blank refused my polite request to return and place the package at my door. This, they explained, was against their "policy".
Bending backwards, I patiently suggested they could perhaps return the next day instead, or at some other time of their choosing, possibly with a different driver. This, they declared, was impossible. When I gently inquired as to why it was impossible, they stated with Kafka-esque logic that it was against policy.
In the end they adamantly refused to explain why it was against their policy, or why it was impossible, or why it was beyond the means of one of the world's largest and wealthiest companies to simply send a driver round at their convenience to correct an error.
All this despite my being a regular and long-term customer. So, expect no assistance if you're so unfortunate as to be old, disabled or for any reason immobile. They quite simply don't care.
