I had a very frustrating experience with this car rental company. It took me about 30 minutes to find the car, and I walked around the entire parking area several times. I also could not get through by phone, as my flight arrived late and the company only works until 8:00 p.m.

There were also difficulties when I returned the car, as it was hard to reach anyone by phone. The instructions were not clear, and I was not given proper information.

In addition, there was no clear explanation about the €1,800 deposit. I had to wait a whole week to get my money back. First they said they would contact the bank, then the head office, but nothing was resolved quickly. It was extremely stressful and caused a lot of unnecessary worry.

Die Übergabe des Fahrzeugs bei Vanrell (Playa de Muro) verlief schnell und unkompliziert, und auch die gebuchte Fahrzeugklasse entsprach vollständig meinen Anforderungen. Leider war das Fahrzeug jedoch bei der Abholung in einem sehr unsauberen Zustand. Der Außenbereich war sehr stark verschmutzt, was bei einer professionellen Autovermietung nicht zu erwarten ist.

Auf meine Nachfrage erhielt ich die Erklärung, dass derzeit zu wenig Personal zur Verfügung stehe und das Fahrzeug über Nacht verschmutzt worden sei – zudem könne es ja ohnehin bald regnen. Diese Begründung empfand ich als wenig zufriedenstellend und nicht kundenorientiert.

Insgesamt war die Abwicklung zwar problemlos, die mangelhafte Reinigung und die unpassende Reaktion auf die Reklamation hinterlassen jedoch einen negativen Gesamteindruck.

Issue , we almost got in to big crush. Wheel just came off. They do not take care or there cars or safety of clients , putting lives in danger.
We got a BMW payed 200euros per day and the wheel just came off while driving on the third day !!!
Support is so bad they didn’t even apologize.
Worst car company !!!

Et bien, je ne vois que des avis négatifs, je les ai aussi vus avant de partir, j'ai hésité mais j'y suis tout de même allé.
Ma politique en terme de location à l'étranger, je mets pas trop cher dans la voiture mais je prends le max d'assurance.
là j'ai pris une fiat panda pour 8 jours: 178€ + les assurances confort plus 133€, bref 300€ avec une remise
tout s'est très bien passé, on sent qu'avec l'option tout est pris en charge, les interlocuteurs regardent le contrat et dès qu'ils voient "confort plus" tout se détend et ils te disent "pas de problème" à tout.
jusqu'au retour où je suis arrivé avec une heure de retard, normalement je devais laisser les clefs et partir sans checker avec quelqu'un mais j'ai préféré alpaguer un type de la compagnie qui passait en lui demandant de tout vérifier avec moi et il m'a dit "vous avez l'assurance, tout est compris" bon...bah ok alors.
j'ai tellement l'habitude que les gars regardent tout jusqu'à la petite rayure.
Malgré tout je vous conseille de prendre des photos de la voiture au début de la location, exterieur et intérieur, cela pourrait mettre un terme rapide à tout contentieux de la part de loueurs malhonnêtes.
Pour majorque, la panda est suffisante à 2 avec des baggages, de toute façon l'ile est limitée à 80 quasiment partout sauf à qqs endroits à 90 et exceptionnellement à 120.
la seule chose qui manque c'est le cruise contrôle, pour les longues lignes à 80 km/h , c'est long et on a envie d'appuyer.
A ce sujet les excès de vitesse coûtent chers (100€ pour un petit de 10km/h, jusqu'à 600€ pour plus
Voilà, c'était mon expérience, bonnes vacances sur cette ile que nous avons trouvé très jolie.
PS: ah j'oubliais: préparez votre venue, repérez à l'avance la localisation du loueur, ils font des vidéos pour cela, moi j'étais allé sur google map.
bref quand je suis sorti de l'aerogare, j'avais déjà tout visualisé, cela nosu a fait gagné un temps fou, ceux qui ne le font pas risquent de galérer un peu

Bei der Wagenannahme hat alles geklappt, Formalitäten wurden im Vorfeld erledigt. Auto ok. Bei Wagenrúckgabe haben wir darauf hingewiesen, dass wir bei der Auroabholung 11 Euro fúr Parking beim Vermieter (!) bezahlen mussten. Dies sei normal bis 10 Euro… ok… daneen wiesen wir darauf hin, dass die Batterie diverse Male kurz rot leuchtete, was die Person bei der Annahme nicht gross interessierte. Er könne nichts machen (?). Der nächste Wagenmieter wird es danken. Tankregelung war voll voll. Tankfüllung konnte nicht abgelesen werden (Auro MG). Beim betanken merken wir anhand der km Angabe (beim Abholen 500, Nach befúllen 750km), dass der Wagen bei der Abholung entgegen den Angaben im Kontrakt nur zu 2/3 voll war. Ao bezahlten wir 20 Euro mehr. Der Herr bei der Wagenrückgabe konnte oder wollte? auch hier nichts machen. Ist das normal? Oder Betrug?

Highly recommended, full insurance for peace of mind, communication has a big room to improve, otherwise top notch.
Somehow there was an error during my booking, and booked a month too early, vanrell helped with discount for next booking, highly appreciated gesture.
Also they replaced my car as had too many scratches and I didn't like to drive it, really highly recommended!!!

Buena experiencia en general. Les he alquilado un coche dos días en Alcudia y todo ha ido bien. Lo único complicado es que haba cola en la oficina y tuve que esperar casi una hora para que me dieran el coche.

Rent a car at vanrell can picafort 1. Great experience, great staff, great car, everything was perfect.

If I could give less than one star I would. The car was given to us with zero petrol. The air conditioning was faulty. When I asked if I could return the car back earlier due to my 1 year old not travelling well with the heat, they refused. Zero customer service and zero petrol. AVOID this place!

Unfortunately, we don't have a good experience with Vanrell. We rented a car for just one day, but my daughter forgot her purse in the car. She is saying it fell between the door and seat (she was sitting behind the driver, on the left side) and as she was playing a game on the phone, she thought she will pick it up when getting off the car. My husband stopped in front of our hotel just to drop us off. We jumped off the car quickly on the right side, as car were passing by on the left side. So the left side wasn't even opened. In this rush she forgot to pick up her purse. She had her sunglasses there and a wallet with all her savings (360 euros). She was forbidden to take all her money to the vacation but she did. Lesson learned. She cried her eyes out. We are not millionairs, she doesnt carry this amount of money around randomly. So we went back to Vanrell and heard nothing has been found. We are 1000% sure the purse was left in the car. I bet if there wasn't this amount of money, the bag would have been found. I am very dissapointed, as first,when she said she left it in the car, I was happy she didnt leave it somewhere on the bench, but was sure I can trust the company and it will be found.
I feel like the office workers, even the manager were very nice, they really believed the cleaning company, they told me to accept that maybe the purse wasnt left in the car. I know they have to believe their team mates who clean the cars, but we know the purse was left there. So if you decide to rent from Vanrell, be sure to check your car 100 times before you return the keys.

I rented a Mercedes A106 from their Alcudia office on Tuesday 12th August for 4 days, following the sales representative’s advice to purchase all additional insurance. Due to an urgent change, I had to fly to Geneva at 08:45 on Saturday. The airport office opens at 08:00, yet they refused to accept the return there and forced me to drive to Can Pastilla instead. How come you declwre that you have 24 hrs assistsnce while your representative replying to your offical whats up lline is not even able communite in English.

Hotels in Palma are always flexible with last-minute bookings or date changes, but this local rental company not only refused any refund or credit for a future visit (even in high season, which I could still accept), they also made it impossible for me to use the car until my flight — despite having paid for it.

This experience clearly shows why many travelers prefer global brands via platforms like Skyscanner. I had chosen to book directly with a local company to support the local economy — something I will not repeat

Problème avec la voiture j'ai insisté et j'en ai eu une autre. Au départ j'ai eu une bonne image de la société car j'avais un interlocuteur Français qui me répondait et a pris en compte mon soucis. Par contre en rentrant en France j'ai constaté une
vente d'assurance à mon insu. Personne ne prend en compte ma réclamation désormais.
Ne répond plus aux mails et le conseiller whatsapp ne répond plus non plus.

I just wanted to say how good the new service from Vanrell is. I got home last night and we had a Jeep Avenger for 3 days. What a fabulous car and it was so easy to pick up and return the car automatically. As always a great experience using Vanrell. I have already booked again for September! I have only used Vanrell for the last 6 years and travel to Mallorca a few times a year. Could not recommend them more.

28/06/2025 hired a VW caddy from Palma, pick up was ok, car had zero fuel and had a few wear and tear marks on it, including a hole on the interior boot door card.
The hire cost €340 for car and $137 for insurance so wasn’t cheap, on arrival they spoke very little English but basically advised us to take out a further insurance to cover everything - cost €35.
Drove the car without incident for a week and returned it to the airport.
4 days after returning to the uk €113 was taken from my Mastercard and 2 days later I received an email claiming I was responsible for the hole in the door card and as I hadn’t reported it at the time my insurance wouldn’t cover it.
I tried without success to cancel the Mastercard transaction.
I have replied to Vanrells original email without reply and created a separate complaint email to which I received an automated email saying they were busy.
The car ended up being very expensive at nearly €500 for the week, on top of the €5 airport parking cost, €80 for fuel and €113 fictitious damage charge.
For anyone in the future avoid this car company at all costs.
