They did an excelliene job with updating the resume and cover letter. The writers brought new energy to my resume. I highly recommend them.

As I was searching for a new job, I considered the need to update my resume to highlight my skills and make it more of something that would get the attention of potential employers. I signed up with ResumeWritingGroup.com for $120 and sent in what I had. I was clear that I wanted to streamline my work history and highlight the key pieces.

What I received back was none of the things I asked for. They reformatted it...and they had all kinds of typos and grammatical errors. Granted, it was a draft, but it was SO packed with spacing all the way to the edges of the page and a tiny font as the "professional writer" used as he/she didn't streamline anything. They simply tried to rearrange what I already had and add a few words without doing what I had asked.

I wrote back saying that it was too packed and suggested we might need to remove some of the irrelevant items. I got the resume back and the writer had simply removed the oldest pieces of my work history with a note saying that those were irrelevant. Of course, those pieces were key pieces of my management experience, so why would you just delete theme because they were the oldest??

No one would even talk to me for 5 minutes, no one even considered what I requested. All they did was reformat it...which you can do yourself with an online template...and cut key pieces out to make it fit, but the formatting was still awful. I expected more for what I paid and what I asked for. I didn't need a full-blown consultation.

The owner went back and forth with me in a few e-mails, but his best offer was to give me another resume update. By this point, I'd already landed another job...and I did it without using the worthless resume they sent me. They had no clue about proper formatting and what a professional resume should look like. If I already secured a new position without their help, why would I want another resume? And I why would I want a resume from them if they couldn't even come close to producing a usable resume in the first 3 drafts???

You'd be better off saving yourself a couple hundred dollars and downloading a template from the internet than use this company.

UPDATE: The owner has used his cookie cutter response below that he copies and pastes on every other complaint they get. Of course I don’t need a resume now because I found a job without their assistance. The process was dragging out due to total rewrites. Why would I accept an offer of a new resume when I’ve already secured a new job? Why would I go back to them to do a resume if they couldn’t get it right the first, second or third time? Why would I go back to them if they didn’t even make any changes that I requested??? Seriously, read the negative reviews. Their money-back guarantee sounds nice, but it’s worthless if you can actually find the evidence they require.

If they have a 98.4% success rate, then why argue with me about it? Give me my money back and move on. That would’ve gone a long way and I would’ve considered using them in the future. But this small “company” of 2-3 people who claim to do thousands of resumes each month choose to fight. Take my advice, find a respectable company. This one is a sham.

Resume Writing Group does not ask enough questions to even begin to make a good resume let alone a federal resume. We have exchanged several emails and they never asked me what I did, they only used my old resume and reworded it.
When I asked about the money back guarantee, I was told I would have to provide proof via fax receipt. Then they suggested for me to purchase another resume from them. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

First, I wanted to say thank you to the Resume writing group because they have done a great job of making my resume look professional. I have landed a job and I am extremely happy about it. I did not give it 5 stars because I believe the prices are a bit high. Yes, you can get updates if you don't find a job and they have a guarantee, but I feel they can be a bit more reasonable on price. Other than that I believe they do a great job on created resumes. Thank you for your service.

This has been a mind numbing process. First off, note that communication for the most part is done through non-reply tickets and they steer you to their site with passwords and "form" communication. In roughly 36 hours after paying (still can't find the itemized receipt) I received 7-8 emails about their up selling services and marketing referrals. Go to their page to communicate with your resume writer and it is the same thing. Up selling and icons for referrals and gratuities.

When you select your initial service(s) and proceed to checkout you have a surprise: additional costs for how many years you have worked. I had to pay $34.00 extra for my extended work history. Okay, I get that requires more time but be up front about it. Instead you spend 10 minutes on answering questions and then they add this. And again they constantly try to up sell. I hate the junk mail and also wading through the junk to get what I paid for on their site.
So I ordered a cover letter ($69.00) and resume ($153.00) and for some reason they added the $89.00 for linkedin (it took a phone call, chat session and email to get this removed.)
When I received my resume the cover letter was page 3 of the resume. Most job applications require these to be submitted separately. No, problem I have MS Word and can separate them but when I did it screwed up the formatting and color scheme. I requested two separate docs. from my writer and then all heck broke lose. I spent half a day and several emails/agruments trying to get two separate docs. I was first told how to copy/paste (I had already did the exact same thing). Then I was referred to the help archives. Then I informed them that I paid for two docs and just to send them separately. I received one doc. (the cover letter). What a nightmare of customer service with this company. Yes, I made my own revisions and chalked this up as another internet company that's just trying to make as much money as possible and customer service is an after thought. Save yourself a headache and look elsewhere for resume services.

Communicating with these people is a disaster unless you are paying for more services or doing referrals which they constantly remind you about.

I have been out of work since Covid 19 arrived. I sent them my old resume and they completely revised it and made it look fantastic. I have had two interviews in the 1st week. Great service, Great communication.

I chose this company after reviewing carefully their website information. They are the only company to offer a guarantee with their resumes and they are mid-line in cost. The were very prompt delivering a beautifully designed and powerfully authored resume. Although there were some snafu's, they directly and quickly resolved them. All communications must be made through email. That was a little frustrating but my issues were resolved within about one hour of submitting my first review. I will be making future referrals to them and using them in the future.

The company works exceptionally well to make all services provided look perfect. With several services to help you secure a great job or switch career, their team will do wonders to make it happen for you. I would highly recommend utilizing all their services to have a higher chance of getting your next employment opportunity.

I asked the Resume Writing Group to formulate a cover letter that describes and includes the total experience in my related field. I request the cover letter to include this information so that my years of experience, supervisory and management skills are stated. When the cover letter is read by the employer, he or she may direct me in several positions that may be needed to fill.

The Resume Writer staff wrote a professional and informative cover letter to include the aforementioned request.
