I was referring to this language learning site to begin learning Chinese, and generally my experience has been positive. The lessons are easy to follow and the lessons are simple particularly to the beginners like me. I prefer the practice activities and pronunciation aids, which enabled me to build confidence in bits. There were occasions when some of the lessons were monotonous, yet they aided in memorization. The site is user-friendly and can be used effectively on my machine. In several weeks, I realized that my basic words and sentences became better. I would rate it four stars because it is helpful and easy to use.

Tried others, came back to Yabla. As an intermediate learner focusing on listening skills, I'm now making great progress with their enjoyable video content.

I still like and use Yabla Spanish and especially appreciate the Scribe feature. The reason for only 3 stars is because their new content has very little Intermediate interviews. I used to love finding out what was happening with Amaya at Donkey Dreamland or Rosa, Soledad, Adriana, Carlos, Silvia, and more, all intermediary speakers which are perfect for my level. I still consider Yabla an excellent learning tool even though the lessons that I use most of the time these days are ones I have already listened to. They have a rich archive of previous lessons which continue to teach me Spanish. However, their new lessons are either advanced or for the very early beginner. Having said that, Fermin just started a series, and he speaks for the Intermediate learner. I am hopeful this is not a token speaker, but rather a return to the Yabla that I had loved and valued.

I've been dipping in and out of Yabla for some time and recently took out a subscription. I think it is pretty good, but there is one glaring issue: I haven't found a way to learn idiom, something French is particularly rich in. You can't underline an entire phrase to see its meaning, just individual words, which is useless for idiom where by definition the meaning of a phrase is very different from just translating word by word. For instance in the video La Ville de Chartres the phrase 'point de l'orgue' is used. You can't highlight all of this, just the individual words, and so the phrase won't get included in the flash cards for repetition and learning. A very big omission in my view!

Yabla is a fantastic resource for anyone looking to learn a foreign language. It's a far more engaging and effective alternative to traditional textbook methods. The small monthly fee is well worth the value you receive. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about improving their language skills. After five years of use, I can confidently say that Yabla has been instrumental in my language learning journey and I plan to continue using it for years to come.

Good luck trying to stop Yabla sending you unsolicited Direct Marketing, despite already being opted-out.

These are short videos that incorporate very effective exercises to improve listening skills and pronunciation. The Fluency Club is especially useful, providing enjoyable daily sessions that take about twenty minutes to complete, and which I feel will contribute significantly to bridging the gap between the intermediate struggle and fluency. Customer service via email is exemplarary.

I am a new user of yabla Spanish, level B1/B2.
The other day I got "A Personal Note from Our CEO", named John DuQuette. He asked me about my opinion.
As I thought he would be interested in it, I wrote him a rather detailed experience report, with many positive and some negative items.
Sadly, I never got an answer. Either John was not really interested in my answer, or my email got lost, who knows.
Thus, dear yabla, if you like to read this evaluation from a new user who is not yet really decided whether to continue with the payments, please ask your CEO John if he got my mail. I replied to where I got it from, it was the "support" address.

I’ve used Yabla for many years and any problem I have had has been Quickly resolved with Courteous Helpful tech representatives. It is the best company I’ve dealt with and I think other corp’s could use them as a model of how to keep customers happy. This evening I cancelled a different language program because they have so sense of customer service

I got a promotional email from them. I clicked the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom. On the page I went to it had many items I can subscribe to, and at the bottom the bottom was already selected "Do not send me any emails."

I enjoyed the Spanish videos, the exercises were meaningful and added to my understanding of the language

Yabla makes it interesting and fun to learn a new language or keep up with one you already are fluent in. You have a choice of short three to five minute videos that introduce you to culture and sites where your target language is spoken. There are levels for all degrees of proficiency. Plus, you'll have access to practice activities, all in the target language.

Exactly what I needed to advance my listening skills and the contents are entertaining.

Yabla is an amazing application on its own or one which compliments fully and Spanish course you may be taking . It is unique in offering dictation, pronunciation, comprehension, various accents and different levels for a variety of topics.

Yabla is great - huge range of content, Scribe is really cool, Flashcards work really well. Super cheap, for what it is.

One downside: audio quality varies hugely.

I can speak French reasonably well but I don't get a lot of opportunity to do so. The videos are exactly what I was looking for to help train my ear for casual conversation. The ability to create a vocabulary list, rewind and repeat segments and practice pronunciation are all easy to navigate. The three levels of difficulty are letting me start easy and progress fairly quickly.

I like that you can slow the narrative down. I found it to be an interactive site and plan to return to my study of German soon.

Vídeos are “bite sized”. Easily digestible. I can really feel myself improving. I just renewed my subscription.

The material is excellent. I like being tested with the material given. The only expectation is that grammar exercises will also be presented somehow.
