Ride like a viking shows us the basics you must know when you have a horse. She does the same things I do, but it remains interesting to see how she does it and substantiates it. That's why I wanted to be a ride like a viking trainer and instructor. Because of the substantiating and how it is build up. I think the method must be a basic for every horse owner.

I absolutely love the horse training methods taught by Cathrine at Ride Like A Viking. It is highly rewarding for both horse and owner/trainer and in my experience, gives a high level of trust and a deep bond.
She teaches you how to read your horse and how to get your horse to be comfortable within itself, giving it confidence and a capability to have a calm and collected mind.
For me personally, my biggest problem with my horse I solved was, he was very scared of people and hard to catch. He had a very troubled past before I got him which impacted him a lot. He is now the complete opposite and thriving.
I have now been using this method for 3 years and have used this training on many horses, all very different, such as being sensitive, traumatized, unmotivated, pushy, etc. This training program covers so much and shows you how to deal with different kinds of horses.
I really recommend this online training to all.

I really like this program, it works with reading the horses bodylanguage, and finding relaxation. I love doing less and letting the horse know i will listen. Cathrine teaches noticing the smallest signals and helps the horse being a safe partner in the human world

I strongly recommend the Ride Like a Viking method. It has given me confidence and patience and changed the way I am around horses. When I went to pick up a horse I had bought, I was told by the professional horse trailer driver, that he was "a really tough one" to load onto the trailer. And we had to use force to get him into the trailer at the transit stop. By using the methods from Ride Like a Viking I easily retrained him to enjoy being in the trailer, in just two or three sessions! Learning this simple techniques made me feel safe that I could take my horse to the vet or clinics without depending on any help to load on or off. This is just one of many valuable things I've learned from Cathrine and the membership. It has changed my behaviour around horses - as now I am aware of my own body language in all kinds of situations and I now how to become a resource for the herd - they value my presence without treats, food, etc. To me animal welfare is very important and this method lets the horse gain confidence, feel safe and relaxed, being listened to, etc.

Both my horses have benefited from the connection exercise, separation anxiety exercise, and mounting block work. It’s not perfect yet, but Falki has stopped backing away from me at the mounting block, and is improving in his ability to ride off property alone, leaving his buddies behind. Bend to stop is helping me slow my very forward Odinn down in a calm and gentle manner. But perhaps I should say that I am the one who has benefited the most from learning how to work with them this way. Gently making things ‘their idea’ is brilliant, and keeps me more relaxed. I like the focus on leadership and cooperation so much more than feeling g like I need to ‘win’. ❤️

My horse had separation anxiety and I struggled to connect because of this. I tried some other courses first, but we got nowhere. Then I found ride like a Viking. After I took the ride like a Viking class we are now in tune and have trust with each other. We play, have fun and have an amazing relationship ❤️ so thank you !

The course is easy to understand and follow. It helped my young mare stop grazing when ridden and solved her separation anxiety. The community is amazing and helped me throughout the whole possess. Highly recommended!
