This was my 4th time ordering frozen reptile food from Ridgeway Frozen.

I placed an order worth £130 for frozen reptile food. Unfortunately the delivery company made an error, and the parcel was placed on the wrong van. It arrived 24 hours later than scheduled and, unsurprisingly after an extra day in transit, the entire order was completely defrosted and ruined. I rejected the delivery, as I felt I shouldn't be left responsible for disposing of £130 worth of hazardous, defrosted waste due to a courier delay, and informed the driver of this reasoning and that it needed to be returned to the sender.

When I contacted Ridgeway Frozen to inform them, the response was surprisingly abrupt and rude. There was zero apology for the failed delivery or the inconvenience caused to me, just a defensive demand for photographs to "prove" it was defrosted.

While they did eventually send out a replacement after being pressed, the initial lack of accountability, poor communication, and defensive customer service left a very bad impression. They’ve still not apologised and I feel they dealt with me quite rudely considering I wasn’t at fault for anything.

It’s a shame, because the price and quality of the food is exceptional. However, the customer service when something goes wrong is abysmal.

Easy to shop on the website. Rodents and other products arrive swiftly and well packed. The quality of their products gives me complete trust in the company and I know I’m providing the best for my animals

Delivered on time, very happy product still frozen. Will definitely order again.

I have ordered a few times from Ridgeway and honestly I cannot fault them. Their service is very good. Website was easy to understand for a not so tech savvy person as myself, Picked the items, paid and waited for 2 days. Quick delivery, items came fully sealed, still frozen. Quality of the frozen, perfect!what I also liked was the delivery driver said he had strict instructions NOT to take my order back to the depot.

Excellent all the time fast shipping always fresh and frozen on arrival I can always rely on their service

Thought id add a review for my 3rd order from ridgeway frozen the last was a very bad experience
This time the order came on day expected and all mice correct size
A much better experience than the last time
There prices cant be beaten
I have just had a clutch of baby corns hatch and have 27 babies to feed
For 400 pi kies was just 72 pound
My cheapest local would have cost me 170 for same amount

Perfect. Great communication and updates regarding order progression. Great delivery service. Items still completely frozen despite transit in recent hot weather. Excellent amount of dry ice used, they did not skimp on this. Easy to order, very competitive pricing. Will happily become a returning customer.

Really wish I found the frozen website sooner, ive been using other companies for the past few years but didn't even think that ridgeway did a frozen website. I've used their courier for years and they always been good but the frozen website is trump! Not only are they much cheaper than anywhere else, the packaging and delivery time is unbeatable. Literally more than halved my usual monthly spend and they do everything there so can get my substrate and other essentials in the same order

I regularly order with ridgeway and have no concerns or issues very fast dispatch and always communicate possible delays or shipping days so you can prepare accordingly.

The rats they have are excellent quality too, best ASF rats I’ve used

Great service, good prices and quick delivery.

The main thing that should be improved is the delivery service and communication to customers on when orders are due to arrive - the delivery took several days to arrive and we had no idea when to expect it.

Ridgewayfrozen.co.uk is the only company i use for feeding my reptile collection, always arrives well packed & always still frozen
