Hello, I am Ashwin Rao, and I am from Apex High School.
My project has focused on quantum mechanics under the leadership of Alexander Migala.

I have loved working with everyone involved to deepen my understanding of the subject and to put that knowledge to use in publishing a full research paper. My mentor has given me a solid, logical foundation to build my skills on while letting me be in control of where the project goes. I have enjoyed our discussions and certainly feel like I have taken away a lot from them.

My experience with RISE has been nothing but positive, and I would recommend it to any aspiring researcher.

I'm currently working with Anthony Della Pella as my research mentor and Palaash Goel as my writing coach. So far, my research project is progressing well, and I've learned a lot throughout the program.

I'd definitely recommend RISE to other students interested in pursuing research. They give excellent value, insight and guidance and make the process and task of first time research quite approachable.

My mentor was very good since she helped guide me through the essentials on how to do a literature reveiew, and the program also recommended a decent yet realistic publication that suits the topic of my paper. However, certain people of this program could be a little more flexible with their time slots.

Both my mentor and writing coach are extremely helpful and gave me valuable feedback throughout the research process, helping improve my research skills.

As a high schooler, its hard to publish without knowing where to look or paying as much as what feels like college tuition to other companies that promise and are unable to publish your research. However, RISE has helped me be able to figure out what and where to publish my research, which was good especially given that in the criminal justice/humanities field it is often hard to publish research. My mentor, writing coach, reviewer, and publication team have helped me so much on my journey! Thanks, RISE!
