My pup was lame, he went for x-rays to find out what was causing it. The vet claimed directly and RSPCA paid immediately, no quibble at all. So simple and reassuring to know he's covered with them .

Total care and understanding
Our 12 month old Lab took ill over the Easter Break which resulted in us having to take him to a veterinary hospital on bank holiday money on our way home from a Norfolk break. He was hospitalised and operated on that evening. I contacted the RSPCA pet insurance the next day and they were excellent. So easy to talk to and made everything simple to understand which was greatly appreciated ,especially when you are worried about your pet. The claim was approved and paid very quickly as was the two follow up appointments to check his operation site with our own vet. This is the first time i have had to claim on a pet insurance policy and i have nothing but praise for RSPCA pet insurance

Room for improvement
Iâve had a generally positive experience with RSPCA insurance so far. The process has been straightforward, and customer service has been helpful when needed.
However, one improvement I would strongly suggest is regarding pre-existing conditions. It would be very beneficial if conditions that are no longer active or have fully resolved could be reconsidered for coverage. At the moment, even inactive issues seem to remain excluded, which feels quite restrictiveâespecially when they are no longer impacting the petâs health.
Allowing some flexibility for non-active conditions would make the policy much more fair and competitive compared to other insurers.
Overall, a good service, but this change would make a significant difference.
