I never received my item!
I never received my item! I ordered for next day delivery and the parcel has sat with FedEx for the last three days, finally theyâve said theyâre returning to sender, which likely means theyâve either damaged it in transit, or stolen the item which FedEx UK are known for doing. Iâd suggest Rust-Oleum look to change their delivery partner given the other reviews. How disappointing- Iâll have to purchase whatever other brand my local B&Q have as Iâm in a hurry.

Upon contacting the courier to ascertain the cause for this, they have advised that the parking at this location has been made private, and the driver was not able to access the location.
They made the decision to hold the consignment while they attempted to attain a permit. This accounted for the delay, and resulted in us requesting this be returned to sender and your order being refunded in full.

Limewash effect
Limewash effect: description on their website says itâs limewash. Itâs not. I called customer service and was told it is NOT a breathable paint. They would not accept a return unless it was in their cardboard box AND I paid the shipping.
Ridiculous. They do not accurately describe the product and make returns impossible. An absolute waste of $400. Iâll never buy their products again.

Unfortunately, the product in question is named Limewash Effect Wall Paint, it is not intended as a traditional limewash paint. It gives the finished effect of limewash, in a wider range of colours that would normally be found with traditional limewash.
This is differentiated on the product listing itself, whereby in the FAQ, there is a section named "How is Limewash Effect Wall Paint different to traditional limewash?".
We advised that as this is not suitable for your project, we would be happy to initiate a return for you. However, as paint is classified as high-risk for transportation, all returns must be shipped back in the original box and packaging. This due to the potential risk of spillage while in transit. Regrettably as all items are tinted to order, we are not able to offer free returns.

Wrong colour is same level
I bought a 750ml tin of Rust-Oleum Dark Grey paint from Dunelm to repaint my front door as a DIY project. After using almost the entire tin, I only needed a small amount more to finish the job, so I bought a 250ml tin of the same Dark Grey colour.
When I applied the paint from the 250ml tin, I immediately noticed that it was not Dark Grey at allâit was much lighter, more like Slate Grey. I returned to Dunelm with both paint tins and the receipts. The staff compared the tins and even showed me several other 250ml tins labelled Dark Grey, but they were all the same lighter Slate Grey shade.
I was then told that the colour had changed because of a new production batch. Frankly, I find this explanation unacceptable. A product sold under the same colour name should match regardless of the batch. Customers should not have to deal with such a significant colour difference.
The staff suggested that I use Black instead, saying it was the closest match to the original Dark Grey. I followed their advice, but it still did not match, leaving my front door with an uneven and inconsistent finish.
As a result, my front door has been ruined, I have wasted two days of annual leave on this DIY project, and I have spent money on paint that was clearly not consistent with the original colour. This has caused considerable inconvenience and frustration.
I would like to know where I can escalate this complaint, as I do not believe this issue has been handled appropriately.

Paint did not match samples
The tin of paint did not match two samples. I ordered two matt coffee bean cupboard samples, two separate deliveries so I knew I wasnt going crazy and they did not match the full tin. The samples looked true to the colour on the website but the full tin actually seemed to be mixed or labelled wrongly. Be careful if ordering coffee bean matt cupboard because mine turned out pretty red!

I accept that are many variations of what colour is marketed as âCotswold Greenâ but this is so lacking in greenness.
In marketing terms, I would describe the product as a âHint of Greenâ. Pity I cannot attach

Unfortunately for an order to arrive the following day, it is required to be placed before 4pm, Monday - Friday.
Any orders placed over the weekend, would still be provided with a next day shipping label, but would not be able to be dispatched until the following Monday.
The order was dispatched Monday, and you are correct in that this should have arrived with you on Tuesday. The tracking shows this arrive the following day on the Wednesday, which is one day later than we would have expected.
We have raised this with the courier network for investigation to ascertain the cause of the delay. Unfortunately, as we advised in our correspondence, as the order had already been dispatched, we were not able to cancel it at this point, but advised that we would be happy to initiate a return and refund. Poor communication
As this is the only way to reply to this thread. I filled out the form as per requested and only got responses from emails and still not giving a solution to the query.
