Do not buy if you are in the UK

I have purchsed multiple watches through San Martin. The first two were fine, but the tird was a complete nightmare. The bottom line is, if you are based in the UK do not take the risk of buy San Martin watches.

The watch was initially lost. Then they found it and there was a £50 duty on top because they had shipped it differently to the last two. Additionally, the watch is being held 20 miles away, where I have to go and get it.

I have been talking to San Martin reps through the website for a week. They are not helpful. You will speak to multiple people and each person will say something different.

Finally, they said that they will provide a £20 partial refund due to the inconvenience and the fact I have to travel so far. I do not drive, The next day they changed their mind about the partial refund.

I cannot imagine what would happen if your watch developes a fault. Do yourself a favour and play it safe with your money. Do not spend hundreds of pounds on San Martin watches when the risk is so high.

Update - I will email San Martin as requested below, but I have no confidence they offer a solution.

If the tax-free postal shipping method is selected when ordering from our store, there will be no customs duties, and the parcel is normally delivered directly to your door.
If an express courier service such as FedEx is selected, import duties and taxes may apply, depending on UK customs regulations.
We also offer UK warehouse stock for certain models, which can avoid these issues entirely and ensure faster, hassle-free delivery.

Fake International Warranty & Disrespectful Support
I am a watch reviewer and I am disgusted by San Martin's service. My SN0009 has a clear factory defect (AR coating scratches) and I have an official warranty card.
Their official support told me to 'wipe the dust' on a scratched glass and then literally sent me an 'Adore' sticker (heart eyes) in the chat instead of helping. Now they refuse to pay for shipping to China for their own manufacturing error, claiming I 'didn't buy from their store'—even though I have an INTERNATIONAL factory warranty. Conclusion: Their warranty is a scam for international buyers. If you are in Europe, you are buying a watch with ZERO real service. I have all the screenshots of their mocking behavior.

Nothing: Placed order on 21st January

Placed order on 21st January, no sign of anything yet. When I track my order today 28th January "Your package will be shipped ASAP" , "Awaiting Shipment"? Been like this since I ordered? Let's hope what I get (if) I ever get it is worth whatever the cost and wait. Unlikely though at this stage

I'm Quite pleased

This San Martin titanium watch arrived in excellent condition and keeps very accurate time. This watch will be in daily use for a Airline Pilot. Quality seems great so far but I will report back if anything changes. One disappointment was the cheap black plastic box that it arrived in, not befitting a watch of this price. I expected better in that regard.

Con l'aggiornamento di oggi 11/04/2026 confermo che SanMartin mi ha restituito l'orologio riparato e come nuovo, quindi si sono comportati bene, questo non toglie il fatto che devono essere più trasparenti e far comprendere che acquistare direttamente dal loro sito aliexpress Ú assolutamente sconveniente per noi europei. Esiste il distributore europeo che Ú la scelta migliore, infatti il prezzo di Aliexpress sembrerebbe più conveniente, ma quando vai ad applicare i dazi e l'iva il costo finale Ú maggiore. In oltre se hai problemi con il prodotto per risolvere ci metti 4-6 mesi.
Da qui comincia la precedente recensione che rimane come testimonianza della vicenda: Allo stato attuale dopo numerose promesse, non c'Ú stata alcuno aggiornamento nella risoluzione del problema. Se io compro un oggetto per le sue qualità costruttive e arriva danneggiato, anche se con un difetto minimo, no Ú una politica corretta, lo voglio perfetto, e non potete essere voi a giudicare se Ú da sostituire oppure no. Buonasera, sono un cliente che ha acquistato dall’Italia il modello di orologio SN 00148. Confermo che il prodotto Ú di qualità eccezionale: materiali ottimi, finiture curate e assemblaggio impeccabile. In questo senso, tutte le recensioni positive presenti sul web risultano assolutamente veritiere.

Arriviamo però al motivo della mia valutazione negativa: la gestione dei danni durante la spedizione. Nessuno informa chiaramente che, se l’orologio dovesse essere spedito danneggiato all'origine — come purtroppo Ú accaduto nel mio caso — la procedura di restituzione diventa talmente antieconomica da risultare impraticabile. I dazi doganali, che superano i 100 €, non vengono rimborsati, quindi non solo il costo finale dell’orologio risulta più alto di quanto pubblicizzato, ma, nel caso di un prodotto difettoso, restituirlo Ú talmente oneroso che ci si ritrova praticamente costretti a tenerlo nonostante il danno.
Sostanzialmente sono protetti da questo sistema, se il prodotto Ú danneggiato sei praticamente costretto a tenertelo.
