This company is a scam! Avoid them at all costs. They sale cheap products and once the get your payment info continuously bill you for fraudulent charges.

Ordered a couple of “Turbo” handheld fans. They definitely don’t work as well as advertised. To add insult to injury, I found out 3 months later they were fraudulently charging my credit card $29.99 for absolutely nothing.

I would not recommend ordering from Select Basics.

The product I received was not as advertised and did not meet my expectations based on the description and marketing on the website. I was disappointed with the quality and felt it did not match what I believed I was purchasing.

My biggest issue, however, was the VIP membership. I did not realize I was being enrolled in a recurring subscription that would charge $29.99 every 28 days. In my experience, this was not made sufficiently clear during the checkout process, and I only became aware of the charges after they appeared on my account.

When I contacted customer service to request a refund, I received a response that simply repeated the company’s refund policy and stated that the charges were valid because the membership terms were disclosed during checkout. They did not meaningfully address my concerns or offer a goodwill resolution.

Overall, I feel the product was not as advertised, the checkout process was misleading, and customer service was unwilling to work toward a fair resolution. My experience left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I have asked for my case to be escalated, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

I encourage anyone considering a purchase to carefully review the product descriptions, read all of the checkout details, and watch for any optional memberships or recurring charges before completing their order.

No issue with the order, shipping or delivery. I always worry when I buy stuff off instagram because twice I’ve not received what I ordered and customer service was awful.

Select Basics is a horrible site/company to order any items from. I recently ordered a handheld fan from them for a trip. I was $9.99. First of all it took forever to get delivered and it’s a horrible plastic fan that was a bad purchase. I didn’t even take it with me in the trip due to the charge not lasting. Then today I hear my phone ding and it’s a charge from them taking $29.99 from my account for VIP Membership Subscription which I DID NOT ask for. I called to discuss this and to ask for a refund. And they said that I agreed to the membership when I ordered the fan. I told the customer service representative that I did not want nor did I need a membership subscription with them. I saw a fan, ordered it and that was all. The customer service guy couldn’t really give me any answers other than repeating the same things. I asked to speak to a supervisor/manager and they said that they don’t take calls but that they would email me in 1-2 business days. He also stated that the $29.98 is non refundable. They are ripping people off!!! PLEASE , PLEASE , PLEASE DON’T ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM!!! And call your bank so that there are no reoccurring charges to your accounts!!! This company doesn’t even deserve one star!!! They are a horrible company and should stop selling items until they get there business affairs together. They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau for ripping people off and for selling cheap products!!!

Shipping was longer than expected but they eventually arrived.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING from this SCAM company. They literally charged me $29.99 for a membership I never joined. I see from other reviews that this is common practice and I’ll never ever use them again. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Product is crap, is not same as advertised, ask me at time of check out for and upgrade product that I never got and to make it even worse, I have been emailing customer support just to be told that product desis not all the time accurate compare what is on advertisement and denied a refund, THIS COMPANY IS NOT GOOD ON THEIR PROMISE TO DELIVER PLUS IT TOOM SO LONG TO GET PRODUCT IS NOT EVEN CLOSE WHAT THEY PROMISE, " DO NOT BUY ANY FANS OR ANY PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE THE WORSE"

Product did not perform remotely close to their advertising videos. Absolutely junk.

Plus they will sneak in a monthly $20 plus subscription fee, fortunately I realized this before they took any more of my money.

BEWARE. IT IS A SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE. If you think you are only buying a product - you are not. You are buying a subscription service and getting a "gift" for subscribing. STAY AWAY. IT'S A SCAM. And as if that's not bad enough, my "subscription" was attempted to be used by someone else to purchase merchandise. Original date of purchase of 3/31.

I bought a phone holder for $20 from this company and they charged me an additional $29.99 for a membership. I emailed them and they said that it was posted everywhere on their site. It might have been on the Select Basic site but not on the phone holder site where I bought it. Do not buy anything from this company if this is how they conduct business.

Worst company ever. Terrible product, deceptive and unexpected charges. 0 return policy. Don't ever buy from them!!
