I needed some support to help my daughter improving her self confidence so gave it a go with self defence classes. She was a bit stressed at the begining but got used to it very quickly and loved it. She is motivated and always very excited and proud when she gets prized. Shuhari helped her becoming stronger and more confident girl. She loves and looks forward to every session, and I'm pleased she is learning a skill that can help her to protect herself in the future.

My son has been attending for 6 months now, grown in confidence, passed his first grading and had found a hobby that includes exercise he can commit to. The staff are very child friendly and supportive. I would absolutely recommend this club.

The club was welcoming and helped my daughter settle in. I joined her on the first class which was great. Also no nasty unexpected fees. Really straight forward team. The martial arts is mixed so every lesson was different and varied.

My 2 kids are attending these classes and really enjoy. Instructors are very helpful and supportive.

My 11-year-old daughter joined @shuhari_self_defence late last year and she loves every session. She has just completed her first grading and it was amazing to see how much she has learnt already.

The instructors are brilliant with the children and create such a positive, disciplined and supportive environment. It’s been great for her confidence and focus. Highly recommend! If you want to see your child succeed and push themselves sign them up!

Amazing club very welcoming, both myself and my daughter train here. Really good use of different martial arts to provide an all round experience. Sensei’s are very approachable and really make you feel at home.

This is the place to learn self defence the best way. They are very kind and helpful to help you learn. The people are very nice and supportive, me and my little brother are very happy there and we are learning many way to defend our self.

I have attended a female self-defence session at Shuhari and it was a great experience. The environment was really welcoming and supportive.
I have learned more about how to handle real-world scenarios like escaping physical holds and realised how much there is to learn. Now I am feeling motivated to continue training and would highly recommend this class to all women.

Having done some searching online for a Karate class suitable for my 15 year old, I found Shuhari Martial Arts. Not knowing what to expect at first I was a bit apprehensive. From the start the instructors were very pleasant and made my daughter and me feel very welcome. I was very happy from the start with what I was seeing being taught. Fantastic self defence and consistent monitoring of my daughter and students in the class. Really well organised and structured classes. The students who are advanced were really nice to my daughter and helped her with her moves. The instructors are always observing which is what I really like making sure their students are punching right, with moves and self defence. I had a smile on my face watching.
All the students are valued and nobody is a favourite or less favourable. My daughter gets feedback and praise with what they have seen as good. All the students do, my daughter has stayed in the class and is warming to people which is fantastic. It is really nice to find somewhere that is actually good and I was pleasantly surprised at how professional yet laid back and kind the instructors are. The uniform is brilliant price unlike some others we have been to and they don’t pressurise you to buy it, only over time it is nice for your child to feel more a part of it to have it. All round I am happy and would highly recommend this class.
