Awful experience, they stole my money
I was promised a £20 refund …3 months later still no refund then I called them asking why they charged me £75 when it’s meant to be £52-53 per month…. He argued that the £20 would only be added to my account.. ok… so then the £75 should have been £55…. It’s not hard it’s GCSE level maths….
The “man” spoke over me, told me I was wrong, laughed over me, was completely unhelpful and had zero respect so basically I couldn’t get anywhere.
Scammers.. bank contacted and will also recover the money the way I do from these sketchy people. It’s a great set up for storage..: if they knew their ars3 from their elbow or much about something called customer care and legal charges…..

Update… still haven’t been contacted as per Shurgards response below…

Manager Anu did whatever was in his power to accommodate my needs. Arrived there with a storage booked which was too small. He immediately took care of the issue and sorted everything out...just the way I needed. I won't go anywhere else for this service. Brilliant I am very happy with shurgard. I highly recommend Hays Brunch.

Helpful staff who took time to explain the process clearly. And they called when my allocated storage unit changed so even arriving after the office was closed presented no problems.

First if all i would like to thank Molly from Hayes branch who gave me an outstanding costumer service going above and beyond explaining to me all the details for the contract also did not hesitate in showing me different storage sizes and best routes to the storage unit i choose. She provide an outstanding service making me feel very grateful for what storage unit i need.... i would 100% recommend Shurgard Hayes branch...

I'm very disappointed. Shurgard app didn't work on my and my friend phones so we couldn't get access to storage so we have choose another storage company

Did not give proper instructions about which lock to bring. There was no one at reception at 3 PM. Call centre was very unhelpful!

I had the worst experience at this place. First of all office timings mention on Google is absolutely wrong. It shows the office close at 9:00 pm but they close at 6 pm on weekdays . Secondly the person in the office is never available on the phone as he keeps the office close with the note saying I’m around call on this number .
I booked my unit for the 25/01/25 and visited the place only to find that the office is close and I could not move in since I could not collect my lock and the the access code to the gate did not work as the app was not set up .
Than I spoke to someone on the 28th who checked with me if I’m still interested in moving in . She did say that my id is verified and I’m all set to move in . She confirmed that I can move in anytime . I confirmed to her that I will be moving in on the 30th and since I had to visit the office before 6 pm I took a day off .
visited the branch on the 29th with all my storage bins in the car only to see the office is locked again. A A4 size print saying I’m around call me on 07734 163439. No response . This was at 2:37 pm .
Just below this paper another A4 size print saying . The office will be close from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
And a 3rd A4 sheet saying in case on emergency call on 07734 163444
Since there was no response from 07734 163439 I called the other number 07734 163444 only to get connected to the branch in Ruislip. While speaking to the branch in Ruislip the person In charged of the office walks in and tries to checks me in as guest in the unit as the app code was giving error . That issue with the email was not resolved but he did manage to give me access to the gate . Told me that the unit is at the back of the building and dollys will be available there.
When I went at the back of the building there were no dollys. In fact I went around the whole building and there was not a single dolly available . Few dollys were used by the contraction workers and 2 others were used by the other customers .
I could not put my stuff in again as my unit was on the 3rd floor even though the app says 2nd.
I thought I’ll carry my stuff by lifting them myself as at this point it would be my second trip hauling to Hayes from Ashford . I could not do that because there were other hauling vans very parked right outside the lifts blocking the path and there was no way to have access to lift .
I tried calling the office again to check if someone can help me arrange to move the vans parked outside the lift but no response .i could no move in and now the customer service is asking me that I need to give my notice for cancelling the contract by writing an email. Even though I did not move in . How can one place be so inefficient?? I’m not sure how I will be refunded for the cost of my lock and the insurance . Over all a nightmare

I visited Shurgard, Hayes as I needed storage space for next week. The customer advisor, Miss Shahtaj went out of the way to explain to me the detailed process and cost of the storage space they rent out. The young lady gave me all the details I wanted to make an informed decision. She was very, very kind and helpful. She exceeded my expectations. It’s been nearly 2 weeks no call or response back form the store manager proves my point and complaint, don’t register or use these services
