Problems with accessing the inverter. Company not interested. Fault with inverter but company expect end user to cover the cost of labour running in to hundreds of pounds even though fault with design and reliability of inverter. Will be replacing with a brand that back up there products

Abysmal service

Abysmal service. They are unable to sort of out problem related to data logging. It's not possible to communicate with a tecnhician who knows how to fix things. If there is any alternative company to deal with then I would advise any potential new customers not to have anything to do with Solis.

Returned + canceled service - still no refund 2 months later

Paid $655.62 on 10/17/2025 for 2 wifi devices + service. Tried it, but it didn't work the way I needed it to work (i.e. when cellular is N/A). Returned all items within 30 days (11/12/2025) per their return policy using their prepaid label, and canceled the service. It's now 2 months later and I still don't have a refund. Tried contacting customer service several times (10+ times) via chat and email. I was told in writing that they would refund for the service plan and devices. Multiple customer service reps told me they were "assuring me" that my case would be "escalated", as apparently customer service has zero authority to facilitate refunds. Still nothing. They don't even respond to emails. Reporting to Better Business Bureau.

Horrible Experience with this Company

I rarely write reviews, and I even more rarely write negative reviews. In this case, I am compelled to, so that anybody else as unfortunate as me to have trusted this company in good faith, they can know what to expect too.

My Mobile Solis Hero Hotspot & Power Bank never arrived for more than 1 month. I had to escalate the matter 3 times to live chat before they agreed to look into the matter seriously.

On my 4th escalation to live chat, a replacement Mobile Solis Hero Hotspot & Power Bank was approved. I was supposed to get an email notification within 24-48 hours. However this never happened, and I had to escalate on live chat a few more times, each time after waiting for the promised of 24-48 hours response.

So after approaching live chat at least 6 times, getting promises of replacement at least 3 times, I am still getting nowhere. I still have a Global Pay-Per-GB for 3 Months (50 GB) code unable to be used because I do not have the Hotspot device to activate it on.

Thereafter, I asked for a refund since I am going on a trip already, and the replacement is not going to get to me before my trip. Its been 2 weeks and 2 escalations already, nothing is being done even though the approval is supposed to take 7-8 business days.

DO NOT USE THUS COMPANY. THEY CAN TAKE MONEY AT WILL FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT

This company has the ability to help themselves to money in your bank account without your knowledge or permission even though auto renew is turned off. DO NOT USE THEM. Recently, they took money from my bank account and pretended to Escalate my complaint. I contacted them 5 times over 10 days and was given false promises of follow ups but never received one. I have the transcripts of all my conversations with them even though they said they have not heard from me. A check reveals they have done the same to other customers The money they took bears no relation to any products they sell.I have since closed my account and my bank is pursuing them for the monies. I use an ACER M6e device which is fantastic and has simo built in. I have advised ACER management of the business practises of Skyroam and the impact on the global reputation of the ACER company.

L’Inverter si Ú rotto dopo circa tre mesi, e mi Ú stato inviato il nuovo Inverter che Ú stato sostituito, il tecnico ritardato per la messa in rete più di un mese, e va spesso off line anche se Ú collegato con il cavo, ho esperienze con altri prodotti fotovoltaici che funzionano molto molto meglio, questo Ú il peggiore che ho provato personalmente.

I bought the Solis Light and it was


I bought the Solis Light and it was delivered. Worked fine on the free GB, but when trying to use my purchsed GB would not accept them. Within a week of purchase, I started trying to get a refund, and tried 10 times over the next month. Company gave me today run-around. Never got a refund or any useful customer service. TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

Deceitful advertising

I recently bought a 20-day pass on my SIMO device during Labor Day sale for 25% discount. It was advertised in their email that a promo code is not required as it will be automatically applied at checkout. When I added my credit card info during the order process, my order went through without an option to review it and the discount was not applied. I emailed Solis twice to get the credit without the courtesy of a response. I sent a chat request and was finally able to connect to the support team who then advised me that the promotion only applies through their website, not on the device. Why can't I do everything through my SIMO device? I found this to be a deceitful practice/advertisement to get people to buy the plan without the discount!!!!

terrible product terrible customer service

I have owned this unit for about 3 1/2 years. I would say it works about 50% of the time depending where you're located. if I'm someplace that is near a bigger area, it will usually be able to work OK, but if I'm in a remote area, not only does it not work it won't connect. It won't do anything. You have to have at least cell service to even get it to connect it also if you buy a day pass and you're not using it it still says you're using it and it just says that they are downloading data even if you're not using them. customer service used to be fairly good now. Customer service is terrible. You have to talk to a bot and then if you get anyone on the phone at all, it's someone that has no knowledge to help you except to tell you your device is connected. We don't know why it's not working the signal scan never works. I'm going to use up my data plan that I have for this and then I am throwing it away and buying something else because I know there's something else much better on the market.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I wanted to use this while I traveled for my work. I very quickly found out that they are thieves. I bought an $89. US plan, and made sure I toggled the subscription off. Further, I sent the company an email to tell them I was canceling that monthly service a week before it was to end. And to cover the time, I purchased a 20 GB US plan. Well, they recharged $89. on my card. I talked to Chat who said they would send it upstream to management, but their website page says very clearly they don't give refunds! What they came back with was a credit. And I was told to let the service fall out without using it. I was actually able to do that but in the process lost the 20 GB completely. Management did come back with a credit code. I put in the code thinking I'd get $89. worth of Airtime. It turned out to be 10 GB's! I made sure to toggle off the subscription at the switch. But wouldn't you know it? I saw that they were now charging me $25. for the 10 GB that had been the credit! And I had also bought a $70. US plan for 50 GB. Mostly this company is a scam. They do have a service, but it is glitchy, and difficult in some circumstances, and that page saying they give NO REFUNDS says it all. Thankfully it appears that their Website (where you managed your plan) is now for sale. They want $200,000 for the site. Good luck with that one!

Expensive, Poor Quality, and useless Customer Support

I had been searching for a pocket wifi that would fit my needs as I travel overseas. I finallt settled on Solis/Simo after reading a bloggers review. I wish I hadn't once I started using it, I noticed that just connecting my phone with no background apps on the data was being used up suspiciously faster than any other data service I've ever used. When I purchased what I thought was unlimited data, it turns out the company only gives you 2 gb of data. Far from unlimited. My phone carrier does better than that. Even though they use cell towers that data is still slow and you would know it isn't supposed to be if you're using Tmobile towers. My phone carriers uses tmobile towers and I get a completely different internet experience. I contacted chat support and they have to escalate everything. There's virtually nothing that chat support actually does beside relay messages. Their pricing policy seriously lacks transparency. They told me I was getting a refund, but it was actually a rebate for the unused data. Lies and deception all over the place. Everything is fine print, nothing is told to the customer for clarity. I will never recommend this company and I think product review-based blogs should be banned from the internet.

I want to love it...

I really wanted to love this service — the concept is fantastic. Having WiFi wherever you go is a major plus, especially for someone like me who travels and works remotely. But unfortunately, the execution just isn’t there.

A few major concerns:

The plans are quite expensive for what you get.

There’s a noticeable lag in data usage reporting. For example, if I use my hotspot to stream Netflix or upload videos, the app doesn’t reflect the data usage in real time — which feels suspicious.

Even worse, I can’t see my actual data usage in the app. Why wouldn’t I be able to track something that important? That feels like a red flag.

Customer service is also lacking — responses are slow and not very helpful.

Overall, it’s a great idea with poor execution and practices that feel borderline shady. I wish it delivered on its promise, but right now, it just doesn’t.

Stay away from them

Stay away from them! I used to be on skyroam, so much better. Now Solis. They billed me twice for x lifetime, and was not a lifetime, it was with expiration date. So not worth it. They even expire the plan. Nothing carries over even if you do not use them. There's plenty of better wifi routers out there. Even tried to resolve with customer service and not worth it at all. They didn't do anything about it. Waste of money for sure, with todays' tech you do not need this.

I used to love it but not anymore

I used to love my solis devices, tat’s why i bought another 2 more (1 for friend), but they have one of the worst customer service (via Chat).

My new device was unable to register to my account, contact live chat to help, Aiden helped register the new device under my email id, it was done to the same email but a different server (new), i cant find the new device in my app so i contact them again, only then i was told tat they are migrating to a new system, so my old devices are in old system while the new device is in the new one. I was told to wait for the migration to complete so all will be under 1 account instead of moving here and there.

To make things easy for them, i agreed to wait, but i requested them to help transfer my data balance from the oldest device to the new one because the battery is dying. I was told to wait for email notif once the transfer complete.

Next day the email came and to my horror, my 8gb+ balance become 1gb being updated into the new device, more than 7gb data were gone.

Email ends with “ If you need additional assistance, please reply to this email or start a live chat with us on support.simo.co. Our support team is ready to assist you 24/7!”

I hope resolve the error asap so I contacted the live chat again but I was very disappointed by the reply:

“Liam: You've been helped many times, according to records, so we shouldn't say it. Reply to the email, and let them know what is wrong. We are unable to transfer data over chats.”

Am not sure what yall thinks but i feel offended and disappointed with such disgusting customer service, Does any consumer enjoy contacting the customer service and repeating the whole story again n again, waited very long for their reply and yet issues were not fixed properly?
I would not want to contact you if yall get everything done correctly in the first place!!
