Since having a very traumatic dental experience I have found it difficult to even walk past a dentist without utter fear consuming me. Having looked abroad I realised my anxiety wouldn’t be able to cope. So I researched writhing in 50 mile radius. Smiles better appeared it took me so long and many enquiries to book the appointment.i have to mention 6 years previously after my last pregnancy destroyed the remainder of my gums and caused brittle teeth I was taken to hospital to have full removal under general, o fought to keep some teeth due to my age and absolute fear. Yet quickly came to realised it needed to be all or nothing with decent dentures as my confidence hit rock bottom, denture were poor quality and ill fitting and appointments a rarity especially as I needed support. I arrived at Smilesbetter (after a horrendous journey due to a suicide on motorway). My whole body was filled with fear I was shaking, crying and just couldn’t compose myself. I have to give receptionist Sal her due, and my heartfelt gratitude as she tried everything in her power to calm me. I started to have hope this was the right journey for me. Until I met with Safa, completely out of my depth I explained what I wanted, and the reasons barely able to breathe from anxiety, totally dismissed and offered something far from what I wanted. ( I know I have severe periodontal disease and what teeth I have left are crumbling albeit slowly). Next Romi who really disregarded everything I tried to say, my husband had to step in as I wasn’t being listened too. He straight out told me that no dentist would do what I wanted (removal of remaining teeth and dull denture) as my teeth are healthy (far from it) I even explained I had looked at packages abroad but travelling alone would cripple me. Straight he said we’ll go to turkey no one will touch you then. I left even more distraught than I arrived! We did book to see a dentist but cancelled within 48 hours as I felt it was clear I wouldn’t be listened too or be happy with treatment plan offered. It kept being mentioned during appointment, about aesthetics and made me feel vain and self absorbed. however from my first pregnancy 23 years ago where a butcher (dentist L) ripped out and infected tooth without any anaesthesia, resulting in a life threatening infection I have slowly lost teeth and barely have gums. I have had no pictures with my kids properly without stupid filters for 9 years, I don’t go out,and hate the way I look but most of all the anxiety, fear and stress I go through just to attend a consultation is deliberating to my mental health and just not worth continuing to go through it time and time again. I know what I want and why, if your service can’t provide what I want then that’s fine but to belittle me has now made me regress and not want to continue on a journey to improve not only mine but my family’s life

The denture is ill fitting even after they tried to make it fit better after many attempts. No offer of replacement and considering what they charge is shocking. This company thrives on ripping off older people and parting them from their money which at least is something they are good at! Shop around first and my advice is to STAY AWAY from them.

The staff are great however. After 3 years of treatment and no further on and a very lot of expence with travelling over this period to be told its down to your gums.
So if this was the case why was no proper investigation done on my gums before they took my money!!!!!
No xrays or nothing. Iv now been somewhere else and they did xrays impresions and got me sorted out. Smilesbetter just seem to want your money even down to the £25.00 for the consultation which was free where i went. The time and stress Smilesbetter caused me was horrendous.i did recommended them to a few people who have now gone elsewhere. The treatment might work for some people but if you downt like a flutter on the horses dont use them

AVOID

I was first attracted by the website price of Full Dentures From £525.00 being very competative.....

....Until I went for a consultation and was told the price of an upper denture would START from £1045

When questioned I was told the website price is not for a denture but for a temporary denture following extractions even though the website states

The price is a hook to get you in the chair.

After consultation you are asked to visit a seperate dentists 20 mins on foot and then back to this clinic after wards..

Right from the word go everymember of the team have been fantastic. The care and courtesy shown by all is second to none. I went in with severe dental issues due to malpractice from former dentist. They listened and took everything in consideration . I had a partial and a full jaw done. Initially temps were loose but my permanent set are perfect. I smile like a cheshire cat the first time in over 10 yrs . Cannot thank you all enough.Aftercare again amazing and Rita makes one of the best Latte going ❤️ And Sal the reassurance conversation and infectious smile. 😁😁

A truly life changing experience. My NHS dentures didn't fit and even with a ton of adhesive they couldn't be trusted to stay in place. My mouth ached and I had sores all over my mouth. I was a bit sceptical when I went to Smiles Better but from the receptionists to the dental technicians they were all friendly but professional. And from the day I got my new dentures I haven't stopped smiling, the dentures are in all day and are pain free and I can rely on them to stay put. I can eat what I want, apples, steak, anything. And they're so comfortable. If you want new dentures then these are the people to go to. I promise your life will be changed. I can't recommend them highly enough

I was pleased with the total experience from this professional company. From the receptionist onward, I was treated with respect and Moiz my Dentist technician was excellent and helped me get the results I expected. Many thanks to all. I would recommend this company.

I just want to say a massive thank you to all of you for being absolutely brilliant throughout my denture journey. It’s true what they say—a new smile really can give you a whole new lease on life. Rebecca has been our dentist for many years and she is great. I needed an emergency filling but Rebecca was booked-up so I saw Alex, who was equally great! I feel absolutely confident with this practice and have no hesitation recommending them wholeheartedly.

The team are very helpful and can’t do enough to make your experience the best.The whole process from start to finish is explained very clearly and everyone makes you feel at ease. I would recommend Smiles Better to anyone.

After being extremely nervus and anxious i attended Smiles Better, i was met by Rita on reception who was great and really put me at ease, she is such a lovely lady, i then met Romi who discuss every option i had, the cost and payment plans (if needed). once i started my treatment i was lucky enough to be appointed Mozi who has reassured me every step of the way and been absolutely fantastic (lots of laughter), Safa was also brilliant and again was so patient with me i am now full of confidence and have the biggest smiles, i cant thank the team enough. Highly recommended and very thankful.

Thank you too all the team at Smiles Better.I had previously been abroad to have implants in Bulgaria and they had gone really wrong. Smiles Better said they could help as nobody else would touch me cos i’d had it done abroad.
They had arranged for me to have part of implant removed then amazing dentures put in over the top. This was all done in 72 hrs.The results are amazing.I had gone from hiding my mouth to can’t stop smiling. They are the best. So natural looking and filled my mouth out too. Thankyou Mo and Romy for yr help and advice and lovely Sal on reception. I can very highly recommend Smiles Better thankyou again

Nigel Jones in smiles better has no integrity. He was fabulous with me years ago, doing Implants, making me feel more confident. Only for this to shatter sometime later. He didnt notice an issue during a check up, and issue is wouldn't notice, However, my dentist did. Implants needed removal, in awful angles, causing even more distress, confidence shattering, no acknowledgement from Nigel, in fact not even able to get past the practice manager.
Still being sorted out by a reputable implantologist who I trust and my dentist.
He may have been good in his field in his day, but he diffinately had a bad day when doing mine.
Think twice before allowing him to do it.

I came to see smiles better off Facebook frightened to death and I was so happy that everything has gone so well. I am so happy with the teeth and I’d recommend them to everybody. I’m no longer scared of dentistry and my fear has gone.

I have gone from covering my mouth in public and looking straight faced to having the confidence to openly smile with fully open lips. Self confidence has improved greatly. Thanks for all your help. Lovely, helpful, friendly staff and service x

I can’t tell you how grateful I am to the Smiles Better team. 4 sets of NHS falsies shredded my gums. My new Smiles better teeth are lovely, they stay in, and my face is back to its natural shape. No sign of soreness. Hats off to Smiles Better
