Brilliant sale help us massively very welcoming

We went to Sofology at Birstall and saw a lovely sofa and footstool in the sale. It was display piece that the man said they had had about 2 years. It was ideal for what we wanted and wanted to buy it and take it away with us. The salesman then told us we could do not that. It had to be wrapped, sent to the warehouse in Doncaster, scanned in and out, (whatever that means) and then would be delivered to us. We live 3 miles away from Birstall so said we do not need delivery, especially at a charge of £129. We have a van and myself and my husband could easily lift the sofa. The salesman went to speak to the Manager and came back and said no, we could not take the sofa. We could have taken the foot stool but the sofa had to be delivered due to a previous customer hurting themselves moving some furniture and putting in a claim for damages.
The expense of transporting the sofa, omissions from the transport and chance that the sofa could be further damaged are all reasons not to take the sofa to Doncaster. This seems an absurd procedure. It has lost you a sale and lost us an almost perfect sofa for our needs. Very angry and disappointed with the red tape that is applied when it is not necessary.

The showroom in Leeds was well laid out with a good choice of sofas and chairs. It was modern and welcoming. The sales assistant called Hugo who attended to us was very helpful but not pushy and allowed us to have a good look round.I bought a nice sofa and chair which was comfortable so thanks alot.

The sales assistant was extremely helpful listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to help us find the perfect sofa and chair would highly recommend Hugo at the Leeds store for your sofa needs
