My experience with Somerset Bridge Group has been disappointing due to poor communication and a failure to respond to customer enquiries.
I first contacted them regarding this claim on 27 May 2026 and had to chase for a response on 05 June 2026. I eventually received a reply on 10 June 2026 confirming that their file had been closed and that the incident had been recorded as a non-fault accident.
On 10 June 2026, I emailed again asking a simple question: how I should declare the incident to future insurers and how I could obtain formal confirmation that the claim had been settled. I received no response.
I then sent a further follow-up email on 20 June 2026 asking exactly the same question and again received no response.
The issue is not the outcome of the claim. The issue is the complete lack of communication after the file was closed. Customers should not have to repeatedly chase for answers about how to declare a claim to future insurers or how to obtain proof of settlement.
If a company has time to close a file, it should also have time to answer reasonable follow-up questions from its customers.

On Friday morning, I was involved in an accident. The other driver and I initially agreed to handle the matter privately, but given the circumstances, I was understandably worried about whether the repairs would actually be paid for. At the same time, I have been dealing with a lot of personal stress, with my dad currently in hospital and my mum being unwell. As a single parent, the financial impact of vehicle damage is also a significant concern.
As you can imagine, I spent Friday feeling extremely anxious and struggled to sleep that night. On Saturday morning, 20th June, I decided to contact my insurance company and was connected to Chloe.
I cannot praise Chloe highly enough. From the moment she answered the phone, she was kind, patient, reassuring, and incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond to support me, taking the time to listen to my concerns and guide me through the process. Although I was just another customer calling for help, she treated me with genuine care and compassion.
By the end of the call, the anxiety I had been carrying since the accident had significantly eased, and I felt so much better knowing I had someone knowledgeable and supportive helping me. Chloe is a true credit to your company and a real asset to your team. Excellent customer service can make a huge difference during stressful situations, and Chloe did exactly that for me.
I am extremely grateful for her help and professionalism. If there were a way to personally thank her, I would happily do so. Staff members like Chloe are invaluable, and I hope she receives the recognition she deserves.

Yesterday, I was involved in a serious accident and was understandably in a state of shock. I spoke with a lovely lady on the phone who handled the situation exceptionally well. She remained calm, patient, and understanding throughout our conversation, which was very reassuring during such a difficult time. She explained everything clearly and provided all the information she could, making the process much easier for me.
