Went to Exeter office. Staff blamed busy website for upload failure. Had to pay a further £54 for checks that my partner had already paid for. Staff spent seconds scanning paper documents and disorganising them. Didn't even seem to check them. Intransigent about refunding document-checking fees but repeatedly advised that credit cards acceptable. Someone remind me how, exactly, this company wangled a contract with the Home Office?

Discriminative and abusive behavior received from the UKVCAS staff at London Mark Lane after I warned them that they should be following the Covid protocol by wearing their face coverings and by wearing them properly. One of them was wearing a face shield not a face covering and the other one was wearing his mask under his nose. When I warned this to them they laughed at me and got angry at me and expelled me out of the premises forcefully. Even they didnt let me in after that. Every single applicant was wearing properly his or her mask but not these two great people and violated in fact the government regulations and their promises to the customers/applicants. Although I was a customer since I paid for their service and I needed to expect a quality and safe service this didnt happen and on top of this I was abused with my own money. What a shame!

New Maidstone office is super modern & clean environment. Very helpful staff and rapid scanning possible of many pages of financial documents & certificates. Was an unexpectedly pleasant experience and we walked out of there happy. We were lucky enough to have a free appointment, just paid the £51 for the scanning which was well worth it.

Very poor service due to equipment failure, despite a friendly employee
I attended a free appointment at the Reading Library to submit documentation and do the biometric enrollment for a citizenship application. Although the person attending me was polite and helpful, her struggle with the equipment was really painful to watch. The kiosks where pictures and fingerprints were meant to be taken refused to work, she had to manually set up alternative equipment, some of which broke during set-up. The whole appointment took about 40 min instead of 10-15. As I managed to book a free appointment, I was fairly relaxed about it, had I paid the £125 that most appointments are charged at, I would have been seriously upset. I'm sure that Sopra must make good money out of this service at the price, as many outsourced services recently, this should be more tightly managed by the Government.
No urgent appointments even for £199!!!
How is it possible that after I paid £3200 incl £800 for super priority service there is no option to get an urgent appointment even for extra £199!!! I donât mind paying that as I really need to be able to travel to work but even so expensive appointments are not available for many days ahead!!! Letâs also mention that we have to wait for 7-10 days for BRP to arrive! Itâs extremely disappointing having to pay so much money with no way to speed the process up and no way to leave the country for so long!!!
So I scanned the documents myself online then I just need to pop-in and do the pic and fingerprints MYSELF (no Labour needed as itâs all automated with machines) and even for £199 there is no urgent appointments!!!!!!

Where to begin? Guess I will add it to the every growing pile of bad reviews their site gets, not that it will change or improve anything.
I have tried logging into my account on 3 different browsers (Edge, Chrome, FireFox - incognito and otherwise) and everytime it just keeps saying "loading" - meanwhile I get an automated email on my account saying "account access successful".
It is beyond pathetic that a simple login auth/call back is not working.. I will know, been in the software industry for nearly a decade.
Since there is literally no other alternative, will have to keep trying again and again with this pathetic website.
Daylight Robbery
The service is poor.. Paid for enhance service appointment which includes uploading of document and document checking. On arrival I was met by not so friendly security personnel, who directed me to a clerical officer whose duty was to check and upload the document, which he didn't do, I was surprised , I had to question him to find out the process was right but he insisted he didn't have to do all that. The process took less than 10mins.. I will appeal to the Home Office to investigate this company
Unjustified price for very basic services
First of all, I paid 275 for me and my daughter. The fact that they offer a free service, in my opinion, is a lie.
Secondly, the charged price for what you get is inflated.
Went today, present at the door exactly on time. Had to ring doorbell 5 times for reception to let me in.

The staff were nice but what the service offers is useless. It's an overpriced service for 2 photos and some fingerprint scanning. They cannot give any advice on submitting your documents and state they're 3rd party and also have very limited knowledge of what the requirements for the best application are or what the Home Office specific document look like.
I don't recommend them and I find it discriminating for foreigners to not have any choice when booking for children. I am really surprised that a 1 star review company still gets to sign with HO somehow.

I had a bad feeling about this company when I had to phone then to re-arrange an appointment because I could not access the website to upload documents as "We are currently experiencing issues, please try again". This scenario went on for a week after scheduled 'maintenance'. Sarah seemed out of her depth to answer my questions and was giving incorrect advice and soon I was 'breaking-up' and then was cut off. Carl then came to the line as I knew there was no fault on the line and waited paitiently. It took me an hour to reschedule my appointment and Carl refused to answer any questions as they don't give advice - despite being a help line. The promised email to reset my login details didn't materialise so I battled on with an intervention from my MP. I managed to access my account after that but it was of little use as the people at Sopra where too lazy to check my uploaded files and simply sent an email asking me to upload them again in the same category. It does seem a shambles, but what do you expect from a private company using minimum wage school leavers. Luckily I already have a case marker with my MP and will need it for the next stage. . . I'll report back later

Evil company. My wife had her biometrics recorded by them. Eight weeks later we got an email from the Home Office telling her to get her biometrics recorded. Rang the Home Office. Home Office told us to ring the Sopra Steria. Sopra Steria told us to ring the Home Office. etc etc. Attitude of the people answering the phone in both cases was absolutely appalling. The staff in the Sopra Steria office were young and seemed like they couldn't wait to knock off work and go partying. They treated their clients, mainly insecure poor people, like dirt.

The fingerprint readers don't work and I needed to go on 3 different to get my biometric done. It wasn't free, we paid £112 each, and were treated like animals.
UKVI please get another official partner
We used UKVCAS as the official partner of UK Visa and Immigration for an application. The information provided on their website is very confusing, stating free appointments are available, only to discover when you book that, depending on where you live, you must be able to travel hundreds of miles for the free ones. Otherwise you have to pay at least £71.50. For that much, you are not even able to use a bathroom at the appointment. The individual who helped us did not seem to know how to use the equipment for the biometrics measurements either, so the appointment lasted more than half an hour.
A very striking contrast with the service run directly from HM Passport Offices, which worked wonderfully.

I came on time ,man at the door was lovely but when he escorted me to the clerk my horrible experience started.
First of all she asked me to give her my password and appointment confirmation and I did .When she was scanning QR code my bank card was pop up every time on a screen .Then she asked me to take off my mask,put my hair away from my face and took my earring off.Then she took some photos and asked me to put my fingers together for a scan.After I did she replied in extremely bad manner that I did it incorrectly and because of me she need to do everything all over again.I took my mask and my earrings again,finger prints and my signature 2 times again .Then she started to check my documents and she mentioned that I have applied my proof of address from 2018 and asked if I want to proceed with old proof of address. Then Iâve asked her if it okay or I need to add new one?
She replied âI dont know, Iâm not your key worker ,Iâm not from the Home office â .I started to worried and asked her if it may affect my results she replied exactly the same .
Then she handled me a paper and leave me no choice but to sign a document which states that I did not provide all the evidence. I asked her why I need to sign it when I provided all the documents then she started to talk to me in a not appropriate way .I said Iâm not gonna sign it as it says on a document if I sign it it may affect the decision .She said if I donât want to sign it I have time to upload documents until 10 pm .I said okay I would rather do this then .She rudely said that I keep changing my mind and I need to make decisions right now.
Employee was not even able to provide or explain all the information from the brochure. People like her should not be working in customer service .
