I am still a customer OVH & SoYouStart I have been a customer for over 2 years never had problem with them until now after 2 years of being loyal customer I hire another server this week and paid up front for the year only to find the server had poor network speeds 1.2MB/s downloads made the server unsalable. They said not their fault and refuse to refund me server cost.

That is big shame i could just signed up for 1 month but no I trusted them as a company I paid for the server upfront for 12 months but now they showed their true colours as a company I am shocked and not happy £300 refund that they refuse to refund it seems they dont value my custom as SoYouStart or OVH customer I will make sure that all my contacts and world knows about your shameful company. I will no longer be hiring anymore servers from SoYouStart or OVH for any future contracts from my company absolutely disgusting behaviour from SoYouStart & OVH. they will loose in the long run all over refund of £300! I was happy until now never ever will this happen again Disgusting Disgusting way to treat long term customer.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY WE WILL NOT BE USING THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN ONCE ALL OUR CONTRACTS EXPIRE THEY WILL NOT BE RENEWED!

WELL DONE SOYOUSTART YOU WILL LOOSE THOUSANDS OF POUNDS FROM US BECAUSE OF YOUR FAILURES. BIG SHAME!

Client depuis plusieurs années. Je n'ai jamais eu aucun problème. Service client reactif. Machine bon marché.

J'ai mis une étoile car ce n'est pas possible de mettre moins. J'ai commandé et payé un serveur, et après plusieurs jours le serveur n'est pas activé, j'ai contacté le support par téléphone a plusieurs reprises et sans solution.
après plusieurs échanges ils m'ont demandés plein de documents à fournir et sur le mail demandant cela, aucune indication sur le mode d'envoi des fichiers. bref je suis très déçus de cette expérience alors j'ai demandé un remboursement puisque le serveur n'est pas encore activé.

Worst experience with this scam company they are tottally doing scam paid two days ago no response from them they are also not refunding when i call them always saying me to create ticket please stay away from ovh and soyou start..

Я живу в Сша мне надо сервер в Польше но вы такие тупые что постоянно оформляете мне его в Техасе, я отправил тысячу писем все что вы можете это перекладывать ответственность друг на друга!

Ordered dedicated server which claimed to be ready in 120 seconds but 4 days after paid still not yet ready. Contacted support but getting useless reply saying that they're working at full force to get the server ready, no ETA available.

I understand that the server is unmanaged but if the hardware is not ready why advertise as it is available? This is definitely cheating! They also refuse to provide refund!

Si un servidor falla no harán nada. No se puede esperar ningún soporte minimamente competente. La única solución es contratar varios servidores para cubrir los que fallen. Al final sale más caro que contratar en un centro de datos que funcione.

They've sold me a broken server which goes down every 1 or 2 days. From their side, everything is ok because the ram or the network is not failing. They replaced me the power supply and broke the information of the disks. 0 reability, insanely bad support. They took 1 week to give my server instead of those "120 seconds". Never again.

Ordered an server which has 120 seconds delivery. After the payment with an verified paypal account. My payment was pending.
I asked the support how long it will take.

After 3 hours with no reaction - I decided that I want to cancel the order, because if I have serious problems (like downtime) I cannot reach anybody. That would damage my business.

The response I got:

Unfortunately, we can cancel the order if it takes more then 10 days, kindly be patience until the delivery of your services, if you think it is taking a long time you can back to us for further assistance.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

10 DAYS??????? Seriously? What about 120 seconds? Stay away from this ... (cannot find any word) company. I work with 5 different dc's and never had such a bad experience.

5 days later these guys asked me for document verification, of course I won't send any documents and the order will be canceled 7 days later lol. This company needs more smarter people!!

Bonne expérience avec SO YOU START. Commande conforme au service annoncé.
Satisfait des serveurs, de leur configuration et de leur qualité. La livraison se fait entre 5 et 10 minutes, ce qui est rapide.
J'ai rencontré 1 petit bémol avec 1 commande qui s'était générée en double, sans doute un bug et j'ai pu annuler le doublon sans problème depuis mon espace client.
Je suis satisfait, et je recommande So You Start.

I've bought a few services from OVH over the years, and have recently started playing with SYS.

Then, on 5/12 I ordered another dedicated server from SYS, and paid upfront for a whole year. Payment went through Mastercard's secure 3D / multi-factor authentication directly with my bank, so no chance of credit card fraud.

OVH/SYS took payment but did not process the order. 4 days later I got a very bizarre email:

"At OVHcloud, the our customers' security is top priority, so we'd like to confirm some of the information you have provided during your recent purchase. Before validating your order n°XXXXXX, please provide the following documents in response to this email within seven days"

The rest of the email goes on to ask for lots of sensitive personal information, identity documentation, etc. I'm not sure what's going on here. If security really was "top priority", why would they need to collect and store this information about their customers? This is a very dangerous act by OVH/SYS, clearly they have no interest in preserving customer security or privacy. Are they secretly selling our data? Are they giving it to government agencies? Is OVH/SYS some kind of communist/bolshevik organisation? Can any OVH/SYS employees confirm (anonymously of course!)?

So obviously I replied to them telling them I would not comply (they can shove their service up their ass!), but they haven't replied. It's been 8 days now. Still waiting.

I used to recommend OVH/SYS to others. Not anymore. I do not recommend SYS/OVH at all. The little bit of money you'll save is not worth having your identity stolen by a criminal communist/bolshevik cartel.

Pourquoi contraindre les clients à cela alors qu'il existe plein de solutions concurrentes, aussi performantes et moins administratives !!!
Et en plus, sur le mail demandant cela, aucune indication sur le mode d'envoi des fichiers !!!
Donc seule solution : je résilie !

I think that a bunch of peoples giving 1 star for "bad support" don't realize that their server are UNMANAGED.

Soyoustart, a side hustle of OVH, which on its own is known for absolutely horrific customer service. I didn't think it could get any worse until I signed up for soyoustart. They lure you in with what seem like decent prices, but you seen realize how this reflects in their service and support.

I have been doing business with them for over 3 years and they lack basic features like...auto pay... that's right. I requested auto pay be enabled multiple times and they said "we don't support it". Amazing. Also, I had multiple servers with them, but because their system is something out of 1998, they refuse to align the billing dates even though they are on the same account.... That's right, I have an individual due date for each server. Brilliant.

Now, as for their support. I have never been so insulted in my entire life. They are absolutely clueless but act like you are the idiot. It's a classic case of being too dumb to realize that you are not smart. After an issue with their service where they DELETEED ALL OF MY DATA IRREVERSIBLY, I asked for a small discount. Their response? "GO BUY A SERVICE FROM US THAT MEETS YOUR FINANCIAL NEEDS". WOW. basically they told me to screw off.

I would say these people are clowns, but I can't because being a clown is a real profession, what these people do basically makes them nothing more than a bunch of knaves.

Please, learn from my mistake, and the mistake of countless others here. Do not give these people any business, they do not want or deserve it.

I know, they just NOW got it and oh my GOSH the process to enable it is insane. I won't go into too much detail, but they make you go to a shady website filled with weird mak up code and you have to fill in vague boxes then it gives you an error (which according to them is how you know it's working, I can't make this up!). It's baffling how amateur these people are.

Server sind über die letzten Jahre echt Teuer geworden. Damals hat man den Billigsten Server für 35€ bekommen, jetzt kostet die gleiche Hardware knapp 50€
Ich war bisher immer zufrieden, kann mir eure Server aber nicht mehr leisten da die Preise jetzt auf "OVH" niveau liegen was für einen SoYou"START", also für ein Start nicht mehr angemessen sind.

Schade...

Je mets une étoile car il n'est pas possible de mettre moins.
Leurs serveurs peut être utilisé en test, mais en aucun cas en production. En effet il leur arrive de couper l'accès au serveur sans vous prévenir. Paraît que c'est une erreur (quand vous arrivez à joindre la hotline) ...
Bref, à fuir à tout prix !

I have been with Soyoustart for over 5 years. They recently raised my monthly cpanel license from $28.99 per month to 72.99 per month JUST FOR CPANEL. The smallest package they offer is for 300 domains (I used about 20 domains). CPanel lists their partner pricing at .0175 per domain. As soyoustart (OVH) is one of the largest in the world, they are definitely getting the partner pricing which is $5 for 300 domains. This is corporate greed. They used to be a pretty good company but in the last few years their reliability has gone steadily downhill, their customer support is useless and rude. Stay away from SoYouStart (OVH).
