Server down, Not SUPPORT
My server is down, tried to call to the number they have, but it's useless. I opened 2 tickets and 1 hour later I do not have any answer.
Well served for more than 6 years
I am an OVH and SoYouStart customer for more than 6 years. It's crucial to understand that their base offer is non-managed, although OVH recently started offering optional levels of support at an extra cost.
With that clear, I reinforce that I have always been very well served in these almost 7 years that I am a customer.

I've been a customer at SoYouStart for more than 1 year and the only issues I had were my fault which I managed to fix myself. I see a ton of people complaining about how bad support is, do you see the price? SoYouStart is SELF MANAGEMENT which means do not expect support chatting with you whenever you want. It is cheaper than OVH for this reason, you get the hardware and take care of it, do not rely on support. If you are an experienced dedicated machine admin go for it, do not overpay at OVH for features like support which you won't need, if you are new to this go for OVH because support doesn't exist in here.

Support is as everyone says. there is none and well, thats probably for the best.
Disable "monitoring" as everyone says...
If you want windows, be prepared to wait another day..

DON't Use this so called company.. I have two server that I can't use because there no one to talk to over the weekend and they didn't reply back to in time with there hours.. 9 to 6 haha please get better custom support and stop wasting people time.. I won't be using them again.
So far I have wasted £120 over two dedi server and one is offline because I don't want to pay for one and the other is stuck in a loop installing window server 2012... That I don't own a key for I own A key for window server 2016.. but it will not show up in the list to install it and they tell you to add you key to there Manage licences?? if they checked.. haha they would have know that I already did that... Thanks alot SOYOUDIE.... RIP for you so called company..

I've been with them for over a year.
Support is as BAD as everyone else says. Ridiculous. No prioritization of case severity, nothing.
If you're running your own OS, please Disable Monitoring in the console. Otherwise, they will get an automatic ticket saying that your system is inaccessible and needs intervention. By "intervention" it means there are just going to power cycle and boot into recovery. Your properly working system has a chance of getting corrupted by the power cycle. Not to mention any data that was running on your server has an excellent chance of getting corrupted.
12 hours after the issue, no response from them whatsoever, but they keep on opening "Electric connector" ticket every time I try to reboot the server from console and they have to physically do something.
Incompetence, pure and simple.

Kein Support über Tage hinweg. Mein Minecraft Serverkonstrukt läuft mit zahlenden Kunden.
Server hat alle paar Minuten ein timeout für 3-6 Sekunden. Das ist ein nogo für realtime Anwendungen.
Leider bekomme ich keine Antwort auf ein Ticket. Hatte 3 Server dort die ich nun allesamt auslaufen lasse. Sowas habe ich bis dato nur bei NGZ erlebt.
Ich kann hier nur empfehlen wenn keine Realtime Apps laufen. Die Server an sich sind nicht schlecht. Günstiger Preis für die Hardware. Aber hier hängt OVH drann und das ist einfach nur peinlich.

Si on prends une offre a un moment T, et que son tarif diminue à T+1, ne pensez pas voir votre facture diminué, ni même avoir un mail vous disant que vous pouvez avoir une réduction de tarif.
Si vous vous en rendez compte, il faudra absolument résilié et reprendre la même offre (donc frais d'installation + le temps de tout migré...), les tickets avec le SAV ne servent à rien, ils s'en foute royalement que vous vous barrez, la fidélité n'est absolument pas récompensé.
Personnellement je suis parti chez un concurrent Allemand, bien moins chère et bien plus puissant (c'est de l'ordre de X2 à X3 benchmark à la clé)

Bad support & bad service
Soyoustart gave me a wrong server and they do not want to refund it or to change it! I clicked on the Canada servers but I got a server in france. I asked for a refund but they do not want to give me a refund also they do not want to change the location. Also the support is very bad I wrote a ticket and I got an answer after over a week also support closed the ticket even though my case was not cleared because I want still a refund. For this I created a PayPal and wrote the same thing I wrote here. Never ever Soyoustart!

My server has been down for 36 hours, not a single response from support. No help, nothing. I used their default install and it randomly died on a server reboot. My server has been down for 2 days and I am losing money due to the downtime. Don't use if expect you'll need support what-so-ever.

Where do i start lol? once you actually get the server its decent but the amount of info they want from you is questionable..a lot of personal info which lets face it they only want for one thing.
Ordered a server thats "120 second activation" but they don't put on the order page it could take 4 years to get your "payment checked"...good job i don't need it instant..
Also, whats this setup fee about? not needed at all...its something you expect from a reseller host ran by kids not ovh..£18 just for you to "setup" aka click install? the servers are made to look cheap with the prices low but then once you add up setup fees and the rest they're not really that cheap, "verify your documents" these people working for the FBI or something? the fact they demand all that personal info then ask you for passports and IDs to me alone is a reg flag..you sell SERVERS you're not a bank or somet..

Ordered a server literally 4 days ago and still not received it..no emails or tickets either..i know it was like a sale or something? so you sell out fast? but dont keep the sale up if you dont have enough dedis...i feel like they've put the sale on and ran out rather quick but been too lazy to cancel it so now they've got loads of people waiting for a dedi they cant provide...either that or they're running FBI checks,CIA maybe even National Security Agency checks...like jesus, never came across a company who literally stores so much of your personal info then even demands your driving license or passports...glad i didn't order it..would never give a company so much stuff and they only want it so when you miss a payment or charge back for cough no dedi in over a week they can just send debt collectors and sue you....wouldn't trust them with my email address never mind the rest but at the same time who can blame them...their are kids who would give out bank details and national Insurance number to Indians claiming to work for Microsoft.

Had my files removed after being contacted by one of their employee's stating "However, as you are a long term customer. I have reopened your server for 5 additional days to give you time to get your new bank card. After these 5 days, we will not be able to extend it any further." for my server files to be deleted anyway without warning.
Upon contacting support I get told "Whilst we value you as a client and want to continue supporting you; we offer no guarantees or assurances if no payment is received for a service." after 14 months of payments.

The 20$ over at any other server supplier is well better invested i swear.

I've tried Tagadab, digital Ocean, vultr, lineode and delimiter. I will never go back to them, I am that satisfied with soyoustart.
I've had a server with them for 6 months. I've experienced zero downtime, zero outages and absolutely no problems. I couldn't recommend this provider enough I am incredibly happy with them.
Their customer service is absolutely excellent. There was a time when I forgot to renew my server with them. They were able to help immediately.
I currently run a power hungry modded minecraft server. Their specifications is perfect, I've yet to receive a complaint from my players.
Stay away from this company
Stay away from this company, support doesn't pick up the phone. Orders takes more than 5 days to be delivered. You will be sent to another company to be checked and to send your documents, which by the way has taken me more than 3 days just to get hold of them to track my status.

I'm renting an ARM Storage server from them for almost a month now.
The server includes two TB of storage. The internet connection can
handel the promoted 250 Mbps from Canada to Germany pretty well. Even the latency is pretty good
for this distance (on average 94 ms). However, their entire ARM-server infrastructure
does not support IPv6, therefore I have to tunnel my entire v6 traffic through
tunnelbroker.net. Because it's - at least in my case - just a server to store backups on,
the resulting latency increase doesn't matter that much (123 ms from Canada to Germany on average).
But it's still an annoying factor due to the bandwith decrease (only 121 Mbps RX and 51.4 Mbps TX on v6).
