5 stars â Best GPS collar on the market
I run four of these on my own personal dogs and use them every single day. Hands down, the GPS accuracy is the best I've found on the market â no drift, which is the biggest problem with most competitors. The antenna is about 5x larger than anything else out there, and you can tell â it shows in how accurate and reliable the boundary tracking is. Battery life has been excellent as well.
One honest note: this isn't magic. The collar is a tool, not a substitute for training. You still have to put in the reps with your dog and stay consistent â the more training you do, the more accurate and reliable the boundary becomes. If you're expecting to strap it on and walk away, that's not how any GPS fence works, this one included. But for anyone willing to actually train their dog alongside it, this is the most dependable collar I've used.

Wish it would work
The idea is solid. The execution was not. The fence line traveled day to day and it was confusing our LGDs. My LGDs were also stung in their safe zone twice in front of meâŠI would guess many times more when I wasnât there. The safe zone was clear of the fence line by much more than 30 feet. Also, not to the companies fault, but one of our Pyrs could not be stopped by level 30. We watched her make the decision to take the sting to get through.

So when I started looking for GPS collars for my twin 1 year old Belgian Shepherds, I was nervous.
I went with your company because you are local to me and that was a bonus as I am a southen Maine resident and I always vote for local whoever possible.
I'm still nervous with the function of these collars as there are still items that are not clear and do not hook up as fluidly as I would have thought they would have.
But I will tell you they are mighty sturdy and durable and over time we are getting used to the collars settings and true capabilites.

Overall a good collar that I will continue to use.
Customer service has been great. For a large coverage area where accurate border lines are not critical, the collar is good. For keep out zones or wanting accurate border lines, the coverage is rather poor. The issue with cell coverage is questionable. My cell coverage works fine on my phone for everything including data use but the collar is constantly having trouble with cell coverage.

GPS-based systems can experience some natural drift, which can affect fence boundaries and Keep Out Zones where very precise placement is important. With the Nova edition, we observe 3â6 feet of GPS drift, and weâre always happy to help review fence placement and troubleshoot performance.
Weâd also be happy to look into the cellular connectivity youâre experiencing. Your phone and SpotOn collar can perform differently in the same area because the collar uses LTE-M coverage, so consistent phone service doesn't always mean the same connection quality for the collar.

SpotOn has been great! Used it on a camping trip and that was great, too. Dogs respect the boundaries with no training since we had an in ground system previously. The only âescapesâ have been because I forgot to remove collar on a car ride.

The app will show me approximately half the time or less where the dog is inside the fence which is a very small area. Daily battery life is about 11 hours. Battery has been replaced twice already since new. It's a great concept but is far from working as advertised.

The fences are hard to construct. Therefore it does jot correct the dog in the appropriate time. He gets a running start to get thru. O have it set on 14 of static correction. He comes thru inspite of the fence.

SpotOn has been extremely supportive thru out our process. Some bugs needed to be worked out because our dog is a jumper but we are good now.
The only issue I have is that the tracking mode is delayed too long for a dog like ours. He is a Weimaraner and is so quick that the tracker is too slow to be very effective. I will give it some more time but if I feel it is not doing the job for him, I will just cancel my subscription. Now that my dog is trained and everything seems to be working as I expected, we thank SpotOn for giving us piece of mind.
