I have been in contact with our case review team all day. I am waiting to hear back on the second attempt of service of process (as you indicated). If there was an issue on our end we will make sure to make things right. I will be in touch hopefully tomorrow.

Your claim against Google was filed, served to the defendant's registered agent and accepted by the court in about 2 weeks total time. The court accepted the case and assigned you a court date, time and location.

You provided little information here, so I assume your case must not have gone the way you hoped. If there is any particular feedback you can share with us it would be very helpful.

You submitted your case to us on January 30th. Your case paperwork was prepared on Feb 5th and once it was reviewed by our team it was filed and accepted by the court on Feb 8th and you were assigned a case number with the court.

It looks like there may have been an issue with serving the defendant. In your court jurisdiction they do not provide a court date/time until the defendant has been served and the courts do not communicate directly with us in this case, as we file the court paperwork on your behalf and all court communications happen by physical mail from the court directly to you at that point.

You submitted your case to us on March 1st. Your case paperwork was prepared on March 2nd and once it was reviewed by our team it was filed and accepted by the court on March 3rd and you were assigned a case number with the court.

We immediately submitted your order for service of process on March 3rd. Service was attempted 4 times between that order on March 3rd until the final attempt in April.

Unfortunately, if the defendant cannot be located our process server will not be able to complete the service of process.

In your jurisdiction the local court does not assign a court date and time until service of process is completed. The reason is because there are cases where the defendant simply cannot be found. The only remedy to this is to continue to hire process servers which can become more costly. You can also arrange attempts to serve the defendant by your own means. This would involve asking any third party other than yourself to try to locate, serve the paperwork and complete the necessary court affidavit.

Unfortunately, this is just one of the complexities of filing a case. Statistically, there is a 50% chance of successfully (and properly) serving a defendant yourself. By using a professional service of process company those chances increase to nearly 80% on average.

Some defendants just don't want to be served and will do anything to avoid it. In other cases the defendant has simply relocated which would require you to come up with more creative means to try to locate them first.

We are sorry the defendant in your case could not be located.

The process server indeed was not able to locate the defendant. They spoke with the property manager and they indicated they have no knowledge of a resident by the defendant's name.

Service of process can be difficult for some defendants. We had recommended that you still appear at your court hearing. The process server provided an affidavit that attested to the attempts made. Sometimes the judge may allow alternate service by mail. However, in this case it seems like that would not have been an option as it was indicated the defendant likely does not reside there.

In this case you would have to ask the court for a continuance to allow more time to serve the defendant. This would have required you to look into where the defendant can by physically located.

On April 24th you submitted your case to us. On April 25th we prepared and filed your court paperwork with the court. The accepted your case on May 10th and you were assigned a case number and court date and time which was June 27th.

You are correct. We don't have any advertised customer support phone number. The reason for that is quite literally because we cannot legally be in a position to offer any specific legal advice because we are simply a service to help you navigate the process of correctly filing your court paperwork and ordering service of process. These are the two biggest hurdles in starting your case.

We do provide an extensive Triple-Check guarantee of your filing to ensure the court does not reject it and the address on file for the defendant appears to be correct using all known information.

When anything comes up that needs attention we communicate by email as well as make direct calls to you to rectify any issues.

Fortunately, in your case there were no issues. In fact, you submitted your case to us on February 14th and it was filed that same day. The court accepted your case without any issues on February 21st and you were assigned a case number, court date of April 17th, time and location.

We placed the order for service of process on the morning of March 2nd and the defendant was successfully served and the court was notified of that completed service that very same day later in the evening. That was particularly unique in that we don't always submit the orders and see it completed that very same day! That is always something we always love to see when it happens!

It was so quick that it's possible you may have mixed up or missed the notification by email. In either case, our website provides the latest status of your case and the court date, time and location once it is available. In your jurisdiction the court assigned all of this when they accepted it on February 21st!

I see you mentioned that only one defendant can be sued. This is something we expect to add to our services soon, however, we do clearly indicate that we only support one defendant. While most small claims in California have a statute of limitations of 2 years, your property damage claim has a statute of limitation of 3 years. Additionally, your claim states the incident occurred in March of 2022 which would put you out in front of either of those limitations.

Your case was filed and the defendant's registered agent was successfully served. The court accepted your case and provided a court date, time and location (which happened to be a virtual court hearing via Zoom)

I can see your defendant was properly served and I can see our triple check process before filing your case caught an issue with the defendant's address which we were able to communicate with you on and get resolved.

Your case was properly filed and the defendant was successfully served. Since this is a court date that has already passed (set for this past August) I am concerned the outcome of your case did not go as hoped.

In your jurisdiction the court assigns your court date and time after service of process is complete - which on your case was successfully done! We don't have that information since we file all paperwork on your behalf and the court corresponds by mail directly to you.

Your case number which has already been assigned and is available on your case status page on the "My Squabbles" section is #CC2023155643. Service of Process is already complete which was required to get a court date. Please contact the courts at (602) 372-3400 to request a court date/time.

You submitted your case to us on November 16th of last year. We prepared your court paperwork on November 17th and after our team reviewed it we filed it with the courts on November 22nd. Your jurisdiction requires the court filing to by physically filed (versus electronic). The court accepted your case on December 6th and you were assigned a case number.

On December 9th we placed your order for service of process (to serve the defendant the paperwork). After several attempts the process server was able to physically serve the defendant on or before December 24th (which is when we received notification). The courts were notified of that successful service on that same day.

In your jurisdiction a court date and time is not provided until they receive proper notice accompanied by the proper court affidavits that service of process was completed. The court then communicates directly with you on your court date/time by mail. We don't receive that because we have to file all paperwork on your behalf.

Squabble is a service that is intended for people who are unsure how to navigate the overly complex and time consuming small claims legal system themselves. Once you received your court date and time all you need to do is show up. Many cases are won simply because the defendant never shows up.
