Your case was successfully filed with the court. We forwarded service of process on your case (to serve the defendant the paperwork) to the sheriff's department on October 4th.

I am currently reaching out to determine if we can get an update from them on it or if it's something you will have to handle since the case was filed on your behalf.

If the sherrif's department is able to successfully serve the defendant the court will assign you a court date and time. Currently, you only have a court case number. Once they assign that court date/time they will mail you that information.

I'll respond here once I have a bit more information for you.

Unfortunately the address on file for the electric bike company you were filing a case against is located in a UPS Store where that company most likely rents out a mailbox.

The address it was served to is the same address the company advertises, the same address you indicated and is the same address that is the registered agent on file for their company with the state of California.

The is the only location we could serve the paperwork to. The process server also mailed a copy of the paperwork to the same address. I assume the UPS store (who accepted the service) forwarded the documents to their customer as well.

To remedy this situation a court continuance would have been filed allowing you more time to find some creative means to locate where the owner(s) of the electric bike company is actually located.

I hope the courts helped you accomplish that while you were present.

We wish you good luck finding the defendants actual place of business. It might be worth inquiring with the court on the fact that the address it was served to is the registered agent for service of process for their company in the state of California.

Your review makes it seem as if some random UPS truck driver signed for it. It was indeed an employee that resided at that address which is the registered agent of service of process and their client.

Again, this information needs to be clearly stated to the court and/or you need to find a way to locate the owner(s).

You submitted your case to us on February 24th. We prepared your court paperwork and after our team reviewed it we filed it with the courts on March 1st. The court accepted your case on March 3rd and you were assigned a case number, court date of April 18th, time and location.

Immediately on March 3rd we placed your order for service of process (to serve the defendant the paperwork). The process server was able to physically serve the defendant on or before March 18th (which is when we received notification). This was particularly helpful in your case because if there were any issues serving the defendant it could have resulted in a continuance of your case or the possibility that the defendant simply cannot be found. The upcoming court date, after all, was only a month away.

Squabble is a service that is intended for people who are unsure how to navigate the overly complex and time consuming small claims legal system themselves. Once you received your court date and time all you need to do is show up. Many cases are won simply because the defendant never shows up.

We hope you had the outcome you were looking for on your day in court and we are happy to have helped take care of all of the intricacies for you to get that in place.

Unfortunately we were not able to serve the defendant. The process server tried a total of 6 times (which is 2 more than we contract them to do) and filed an affidavit attesting to the fact that the defendant was avoiding service.

In matters like this the two courses of action would be to ask the judge to allow for alternative service by mail and/or get a continuance.

I hope you were able to accomplish that and have your day in court!

I'm sorry the defendant could be served. It's difficult when they avoid process of service.

You filed your case with us on Feb 7th. Your case was filed and accepted by the court on Feb 8th. We placed your order for service of process on Feb 8th immediately after the court officially accepted your case. The defendant was successfully served on or before Feb 13th.

This is particularly fast in that we were able to get your case filed and accepted the next day and the defendant was served in one week or less. This is partially attributed to the fact that your case was overseen by a more senior paralegal on our legal team who is also overseen by independent attorneys.

You were assigned a case number, court date (of May 31st), court time and location.

Any feedback you can provide regarding your court accepted filing and service of process would be helpful.

You submitted your claim to us on February 15th. Your case was successfully filed with the court on March 2nd and the court officially accepted your court filing on March 3rd. The court provided a case number, court date and time.

I can also see that the defendant was successfully served on or before March 7th - well before your May 31st court date. This is great in that it was particularly fast and the fact that sometimes serving the defendant can be a challenge.

Your case was already filed and accepted by the court. You submitted your case to us on July 24th. We had the case filed and accepted by the court on August 2nd. The filing was particularly fast because your local court system provides for electronic filing versus in-person or physical mail. We electronically filed everything with the court on your behalf as that is one of the key benefits of our service.

Your court date was scheduled for this upcoming November 3rd. It's a virtual court hearing done via Zoom. You can contact or visit your court's website for information and instructions for attending your upcoming hearing.

I see there were some issues filing your original case which was filed on July 19th. It was originally rejected by the court and we refiled the case on August 10th. We guarantee all court filings from being rejected to the extent of refiling the case. Every time a case is rejected and has to be refiled the court filing fee must be paid again. You were protected from this by our guarantee.

Your case was accepted on September 5th by the court. Your court hearing is scheduled for October 25th at 8:00am. This is a virtual hearing per original instructions sent to you previously.

Filing in small claims court is not easy. Our goal is to take that burden from you. We hope your final experience with us was to your satisfaction.

You filed your case with us on June 6th. During our Triple-Check process we determined that your local court jurisdiction requires your court filing to be notarized. We sent you instructions for notarizing the prepared court documents on June 7th.

Unfortunately, we were not able to progress with filing your case with the courts until the prepared documents were notarized.
