easy to navigate website and found the parts I needed for my 64 Chevy II.

This company is great. Easy to navigate website and if I do need to call the people are amazing as well.

My order was poorly packaged. I ordered a new grille stiffener (1969 Camaro) and when it arrived the box looked like it was smashed in order to fit the curve of the metal piece. When I opened it, the grille stiffener itself was bent to the side (where it should have been completely straight). I had to straighten it out using metal working tools, as I didn't have time to exchange for a new one because I wanted to get my car to the show a few days later. It ended up working out, but I feel that I shouldn't have had to fix my brand new item before I could use it on my car.

I received my order in a timely manner. Front windshield moulding fit well however the technician was not able to install it since the window clips did not fit properly. He told me they kept popping out. Thought the window clips I ordered were specific to my 77 Chevy Camaro Z28. Please send the correct clips at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

Parts arrived quick and labeled. Parts look like quality and fit well on my car.

I've had nothing but great experiences when ordering through SS396.

I called the location in Palm Coast and told them I wanted to order a sheetmetal firewall and dashpad for a 73 Nova. I told the lady I would drive to their location to pickup the parts to save shipping. She said thats fine but I should pay in advance so the parts would be pulled and waiting on my arrival. So I paid over the phone.

I get there and have to wait for the parts to be pulled. So much for paying in advance. Unfortunately, the firewall was bent and not usable. They told me it was supposed to be bent that way when we both know better! I told them no, that it was not usable. The air conditioning suitcase will not seal to the firewall when the heater opening is bent ineard 2 inches on one side.

They offered to drop ship one because they only had the one in inventory, but said I had to pay the $160 shipping. Why would I do that when they stated “all” of their inventory had the same damage, and that OER manufactures all of them with the same poor quality? I would just end up having to pay return shipping and a restocking fee! No thanks. I said just refund me and they said they would but that I had to wait 5 days for my refund. They got my money immediately, but want to hang onto it 5 days before giving it back.

I drove 6 hours for this? Poor customer service and they offered NO solution. Only finger pointing.

The guy up front was very nice and polite. Cant argue with that. But ss396.com is not a customer friendly company when something goes wrong.

Buyer beware. ss396.com is a Fairweather Supplier.

Great delivery time but my box was bent out of shape upon delivery.

I ordered a mirror kit order #4630131 and passenger mirror looks like it was painted white at some time. drivers' side came primed gray as it should very disappointed. Now I have to mess around sending pictures and then returning it, what headache. The mirror kit part #MA-70sport-KIT.

I've ordered a number of parts from the company, I've been very satisfied. There was a mistake when another part was ordered and shipped to me, and initially they informed me that I ordered the wrong part. In fact, I went back and looked at my order...they were incorrect, they shipped the wrong one. Regardless. of the source of an incorrect order, the part has to go back.In order to get a refund, I need to ship it back to them
at my expense. Unfortunately, I am asked to be charged full shipping rates from carriers such as FedEx and UPS of almost $200. The company evidently has a bulk.shipping rate which is approximately at $24. I asked them to help me with the shipping. I simply wanted them to send me a shipping label with the bulk rate and I would reimburse them for that. Their response was less than the FedEx and UPS carriers at over $100. quite a conundrum… As the part is only valued at $200.
Very unfortunate for a repeat customer who has been dedicated to utilizing their product line. Disappointed with the customer service.
