Avoid using them at all costs! Appalling service keeping money for days in their account unprofessional all along

I would strongly advise others to think carefully before using Staploe Solicitors.
Communication throughout the process was extremely poor. At several points it took up to two weeks to receive a response to emails, which significantly slowed progress and created unnecessary frustration. Clear updates or acknowledgements were rarely provided, meaning long periods of uncertainty while waiting for replies. I lost complete trust in them very early on and vital information was incorrect throughout.
It was also very difficult to reach anyone by phone or email. On multiple occasions I called several times in a single day (sometimes up to four attempts) without getting through to anyone who could assist. This lack of accessibility made it extremely challenging to resolve issues or get timely updates. They often would not respond to emails and said they would call back but never did.
Overall, the process was made far slower and more stressful than it needed to be due to the lack of communication and responsiveness. Based on my experience, I would unfortunately recommend that others consider alternative firms.

I have bought and sold many properties over the years but Staploe, by a country mile are the WORST conveyancing solicitors I have ever used. Communication is non-existent, they promise to phone you back but never do.

I sold some land at auction in October 2025, a cash sale. It's now February 2026 and I still haven't received the monies. They said they'd been awaiting documentation from my lender. Upon investigating this some 5 weeks later, it turned out the lender had been awaiting documentation from Staploe.

I was rather curtly told in an email 'We are not in a position to discuss dates' in December 2025! That was two months ago! Sonia was my case handler and her assistant Irqa. I was never able to speak with either of them, despite dozens of telephone calls.

Please avoid this firm at all costs, I wish I read the reviews online before engaging them.

I had a brillaint experience with my solicitor, Iqra, and I’m genuinely grateful for all her support throughout the process of selling my house. She responded to emails and phone calls promptly and always kept me updated.
Her professionalism and clear communication made the entire process feel straightforward and manageable. She handled everything efficiently and made selling my property feel surprisingly easy and stress-free. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and supportive solicitor.

Competitive pricing but in my experience slow responding to emails and difficult to get to speak to on the phone - invariably getting put through to a different person every time necessitating repeated requests for the same updates and a total lack of returned calls.
Seeming lack of urgency to finalise details until senior staff members were contacted by our estate agents.

I left five messages over a month but didn't receive one of the promised callbacks. When I eventually asked the solicitor's assistant to diarise a Zoom meeting, I was there on the dot - but surprise, surprise - he didn't even start the meeting. Staploe's say in their bio above, that they "have a personal and professional approach to expert legal advice" and that they "take pride in understanding our clients’ interests... That is a long way from my experience! If Staploe's decide to reply to this review, I can't wait to read it because I can't see there's any mitigation for wasting a month of my time!

I have just recently purchased a property; my new home with Staploe Socitors handling the convenyancing. It was made seamless by Aqsa who is always there to lend a hand. As I was simultaneously selling my previous home and buying a new home, I had the chance for comparative analysis. Steploe solicitors are on top by a mile with cheapest pricing, efficient process and professionalism. I therefore have no qualms in recommending this firm to anyone. My Trust Pilot rating is a 5+
