Where to begin-after having very lengthy conversations with several people who claimed my current life insurance policy was ending in 5 years and that I needed a new one to cover me for longer- I agreed to change to Scottish Widows(reputable company)-after the call, which lasted an eternity, I decided to ring my current provider and enquire about my policy-they informed me its a Full Life Cover and that I dont need to change- I was basically lied to, to get me to cancel my existing direct debit and start again- how low will people go !! This morning I had a call from ST&R asking if I was happy with my new policy so told them no and that I had cancelled the direct debit because I had been lied to regarding my existing policy-the phone was put down! I then rang Scottish Widows and informed them what had happened and they were very grateful for the information. The review on July 8th is exactly the same as what happened to me, they are very persistant- I had about 3 different phonecalls over a period of months, making me think they maybe knew what they were talking about- thankfully my gut told me differently- I give them 10/10 for trying, but you picked on the wrong one this time

I recently had the pleasure of being assisted by Jake and his line manager to assist me and my family obtaining a great life insurance and critical illness policy. Having been falsely sold policies from so called reputable companies previously I was sceptical but I can honestly say Jake and his team have restored my faith in insurance companies. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and their professionalism, ethics and willingness to go over and above is second to none.

ST&I have saved me money and provided me with much better policies than what I had in place
I was first a bit sceptical about an insurance broker trying to sell me policies, but not only have they saved me money, they've also analysed my existing polices and come up with far better options, in particular regarding life insurance.
They follow up every year and review my policies to ensure that they are still the best for me. Extremely friendly staff, very knowledgeable. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

nice people but can someone please…
nice people but can someone please explain what does star ltd have to do with scottish widows? second time i have been contacted by star ltd wanting to update my details and then sell me a policy that's more expensive than what I already had. I agreed and only realised now that I have received the details by email it was the same group again.

ST&R Life insurance
I rceived a phone call from ST&R today as routine check that my life insurance details were correct and that I was happy. They advised that the insurance I had was adequate but that it only covered for a certain period of time. I asked him what he could do to help me, he advised on different policy to what I had and at a cheaper price. We went through all the information but was never pressurised into actually going ahead with it. It was nice that all the information given to me and I was asked if I was happy. We went through of the medical questions and at no time did I feel pressured into saying yes. I am happy with the cover I have now and will definitely recommend ST&R to my friends and family.

Amazing Staff
I recently had the pleasure of using ST&R and in particular the services of James and Liam. Throughout the whole process, they were professional, knowledgeable and always happy to help with any concerns I had. They were able to carry out tasks that I had thought extremely difficult but they were more than happy to comply without complaint.
I couldn't be more pleased with the service provided and will definitely be using them again going forward.

It felt nice to have an informative discussion with the company rep, rather than be "talked at or down to".
She explained the workings of the policy with great patience, in an easily understandable and sympathetic manner, with a notable lack of jargon or "corporate-speak". An actual "Customer Comfort" experience.
