We were very disappointed not to receive the full premier service that I'd paid extra for on both out going and returning trips, regarding no catering hot food service "due to inforseen circumstances "?? This was 1 of the main reasons I paid extra for Premium. Not happy.

Travelling with dog
We travelled with a little puppy and booked a cabin. It was very clean, overall the ship has a modern environment and friendly staff. The food at the food hall was plenty and good tasting. The booking process was simple.
The only place for improvement is the dog potty area: if more space could be designated that would be lovely.

Everything. Ease of booking. Ease of boarding. The Pet Lounge was the first time I had relaxed in a week of planning and traveling!
I thought I might make my return trip to Dublin on the other ferry out of Largs because we are old and frail, and streamlined travel is a must these days, but I cannot imagine it could be anywhere close to the treat that was the Stenaline from Belfast to Cairnryan.

What a difference, I should say, versus "flying". Booking and boarding (including car): Easy, straight, to the point. The travel: Relaxing, most welcome by superb staff, excellent cabins and a service second to none. And ... not to forget. A captain himself saying farewell!? When did you ever experience that recently on a flight? In a nutshell: What more could you ask for?

Stressful disembarkation
Departure was efficient and the ship was clean. There was bit of stress on disembarkation created by the absence of direction for the foot passengers. We became involved in long queues that were not for us. It worked out but the transfer to the train at Holyhead was literally last minute.

Fantastic experience!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Stena Line! From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and well organised. Having a table reserved for us and our 2 Shibaâs made the journey so much more relaxed and enjoyable. It was wonderful that fresh water was available for them too, as these little details really make a difference when travelling with pets.
The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We felt comfortable throughout the journey, and it was clear that the crew cared about making passengers feel welcome. Travelling with dogs can sometimes require a little extra planning, but Stena Line made everything feel easy and stress-free.

Was comfortable & had pleasant sailing, all staff were very friendly & helpful, VIP lounge was clean & comfortable, ordered meal which was good quality & good value.
My only criticism is that shop & bar are not open longer during sailing.

What you get for your money is very good but the offloading experience was really bad
We and all other cars had to wait 40 minutes for all the trucks and freight to get offloaded. Without any information about why we werenât able to get offloaded the ship it felt like we just got forgotten on the upper deck of the ship
