Initially sold us a carpet that was…
Initially sold us a carpet that was discontinued and email address wrong for first order/ invoice. Two days later returned and chose another carpet. Was told the sale 10% discount would apply then forwarded figures of new order with no discount on carpet. Spelt my name wrong during initial emails. Finally agreed delivery/ fitting date but phoned the day before to confirm appointment and asked to pay the balance which had been paid about 4 weeks previously. We have been customers of Sterling home for 40 years and spent substantial amounts on furniture, carpet etc rebut doubtful if I would use them again. On a positive note the guy who initially measured for the carpet and tge fitter were excellent.

Very poor and not fit for purpose.
The table is fine. The chairs are a disgrace and not fit for purpose. Apart from the very poor state of the chairs, we were left after the delivery to dismantle the seats to remove the covering - not exactly as paid for.

Very helpful member of staff with good knowledge of their products. Didn't feel under any pressure to make a purchase (unlike other stores) given plenty of time to think about the best purchase for me. I am awaiting delivery of my suite so I cannot comment on that aspect at this time

Barry was extremely helpful. He took the time to understand my specific requirements and then guided me to suitable sofas that all met my requirements. As trying each sofa meant transferring from a wheelchair, a focused set of sofas to try was really important to me.

We came away feeling a valued customer
We came away feeling a valued customer. We had been given loads of time to sit and consider our options and if we needed questions answered we found it easy to attract the attention of a member of staff. The staff members kept an eye on us and when we were ready they came over to discuss the final details and take an order. The staff member dealing with us was excellent.

Living Room suite
Very happy with the wide selection and choice, which is why this not the first time we have bought our living room furniture from Sterling.
