Fault in Leather of new chair
I am really sad to write this. Previously excellent customer service but on this occasion extremely poor. Been left with faulty chair, all agreed visible flaw/mark on chair. We are having to pursue full refund through legal processes. All we want is our money back now but this is not forthcoming. Advice is do not buy from Sterling, as if there is an issue we have found the whole process difficult and stressful. Really disappointed as my previous experience was excellent.

Great service and very friendly staff.
We had great service from Donna Rae. She was very helpful and very patient with us, while we were choosing our colour scheme for our furniture.

Purchased a suite
Purchased a suite, was told it would be 11 weeks , then advised it would be 12 weeks , called them to chase up then told another 2 weeks.
Poor show , and wouldn't have purchased if I was given accurate time scale for delivery.
I'm sure they will hide behind the 'estimate' statement but won't buy again.
Remember it's an expensive delivery charge so makes it more bitter when it's weeks over the estimated time frame!
Response to response:
Here's a suggestion that may be a bit out of the box, why not adopt a customer service approach?... maybe offering a refund of the delivery cost....or what about a refund of the care package I also purchased?
I know that adopting a compensatory approach may be something outwith he levels of customer service you're used to, however it may eliminate some of the frustration caused.
You should Google ' customer service '.
Apologies cost nothing, unlike the delivery charge.

Fantastic service
Fantastic service from a young gentleman named Ryan.
Ryan was so knowledgeable and helpful. From the initial interaction through to the completion of the purchase Ryan’s service was exemplary.
I spent some time browsing a number of areas of this lovely store. Every member of staff acknowledged our presence, which is so refreshing.
Definitely recommend a visit to this store.

Ordered two recliners in Dec2025 they…
Ordered two recliners in Dec2025 they arrived 26th March 2026 by 4th of April 2026 I found that the left hand back of both recliners had poor softer in fill than the right arms . Therefore that area had lots of creases . I complained with a date stamped photo of creases . The left hands at rear felt softer than right hand . Sterling homes sent 2 Technicians from different companies Their findings said creases were due to usage and softer leather which seems odd as front of same arm had no creases and felt more solid . Because the creases were due to usage after 9 day Sterling homes would not be fix poor infil . Also informed me that the assessment was under taken by Independent assessors I found that one of the company used works for Sterling Homes . I have lost all confidence in this company and would not recommend to anybody purchasing recliners due to my experience . I have always bought our furniture from Gillies and never had a problem but my brother bought two recliners from Sterling homes and had them for several months with out a problem so due to his recommendation I went to Sterling Homes . After 3 months the creases got worse and now the left arms look tatty and it depresses me . I do not expect to have paid for what I thought were lovely chairs in show room to end up with poor quality ones

Excellant and knowledgeable sales staff
Every member of staff who I dealt with was extremely professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Donna in hall 5 called me to advise the sofa I was looking to buy had gone on sale and she would be able to assist me with ordering it. When I returned the next day Michael her manager was there to assist with the purchase. Unfortunately I didn’t buy it but had the chance to look through the outlet department, I found the perfect sofa for my lounge. Ryan was on hand to answer all my questions re the reasons why it was in outlet and was able to process my order with a 7 day delivery !! Amazing 🤩 I also purchased the fabric care plan and left the store with a super cleaning kit. I will not hesitate to return to the store to purchase more items for my home. Many thanks to all who served me.

Purpose of Visit: To choose a new 3 Piece Suite.
Excellent Service from the salesman, Mr Gerry Watson (Hall 2 - Tillicoultry Store).
No patter; No Hassle.
Just honest / genuine guidance & advice from a very polite & knowledgable guy who is a credit to his company in general & to himself in particular.
Freedom to browse in a nice & relaxed ambience and the benefit of expert advice, when needed resulted in a very pleasant & enjoyable experience.
Will definitely make further visits to this store again in future and would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Sterling Furniture to family & friends.

Great friendly service
We were very impressed by the staff at Sterling’s Tillicoultry store. Everyone we spoke to throughout the store was really friendly and helpful without being pushy. This all helped make the purchase of our new sofa a very pleasant experience. A special mention is deserved for Nikki, who helped us with our purchase.

Knowledgeable staff not pushy!
We were looking to buy new electric recliner chairs. All the staff we spoke to were helpful however we ended up in the Himola dept and Elaine Sharp helped us. She was knowledgeable, not at all pushy and explained everything clearly. We went ahead with the purchase and are now looking forward to getting our new chairs in the coming weeks
