As a first time buyer, Claire has been absolutely amazing in helping me through the entire mortgage process! I had absolutely no idea where to even start and she talked me through everything with so much patience and information. She has been such a support every step of the way and made everything feel so much less overwhelming and stressful for me. If I ever had a question or needed anything, she was happy to help and nothing was too silly to ask. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

After an initial meeting with Claire to understand my affordability I could go into viewings with more confidence, after finding a property I liked I had a mortgage in principle pulled together the next day ready for an offer to be made. Once onto the actual application process Claire was brilliant, despite a bit of back and forth gathering all the necessary documents Claire was patient and clarified exactly why I needed to provide everything.

I received outstanding service in every way from Claire and Mhairi at First (Stewart) Mortgages. Claire took me through the onboarding and AML process diligently and was always completely on top of the details and we selected an excellent deal for me. I also liked the video conferencing aspect along with clear and secure uploading of documents through the APP. Because of Claire’s attention to detail in the early stages, the mortgage application was sent off within a week and incredibly was approved (high street bank) within three days. Follow up conversations on mortgage protection were also clear and formative. I therefore recommend first mortgages, and in particular Claire, without hesitation.
